Krusell case for XDA2 - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 General

I got it today and very pleased with it. Very nice for everyday use mostly as a phone. I can still type short messages and browse, but for heavy typing I am taking it off and using Krusell horisontic case.

Did you notice how the buttons don't quite line up correctly? I had to 'modify' my case and enlarge some of the holes to make the buttons easier to press.

This is BlueTrek G2. Amazing headset, I have to tell you. 9 hours talk time! And in real life it's very close to it - about 8 hours.
Check it out:

I decided to order another type of krusell case, because of two things with this plastic/leather case you bought.
1. It´s hard to press the buttons and use the screen properly without taking it out of the case.
2. The plastic will get dirty quite easily.
3. The attention drawn to the device, as it is widely open is not wanted.
Risk of getting it stolen is multiplied by many.
So i bought this one instead:
http://www.krusell.se/product.php?prodGrp=4&s=2&product=1251&x=20&y=15

I too bought this one & am very happy with it. The clip on flap that covers/protects the camera lens is genious!
Good job Krusell

Yeah, krusell shure know how to make highquality and wellthoughtthru leather cases!
That´s swedish quality all thru

does anyone know where to buy the Classic Multidapty i have a credit card so buying from another country wont be a problem any ideas or sites?

It's called Phone Dashboard. http://www.hudsonmobile.com/products/phodash/
I am using only last call feature of it, but programm is very reach with different functionalities. Since I've moved to 45 dollars unlimited voice calls plan I don't really care

hi, sorry if there are any confusing
that message is meant for skenliv
and that krusell case (flip with clip) does come with the phone.
i don't know about imate, but O2 ones does have it included

Does it have the Krusell sign on the front?.. If not, it´s the standard case that comes with every XDA II Phone. And it is REALLY bulky and missfitting. This one is alot smaller in size, alot better quality and the flip is not down (as with the suplied case) but on the Krusell its down.

What do you think of this one,
plastic made but nice
i guess it s a better protection plastic is harder and anti choc
can be find here :
http://www.javoedge.com/simtrix/pro...Id=169&productRef=PSKN-71112-00&category=SKIN

Nice, good idea.
But it´s not very well protected, what about the screen?
The most important part of the XDA II.
They should have some protection for it to.
And you cant holster it on your belt, because there is no beltclip.
And besides, it has the same problem as the case at the top of this thread.
It gets attention, and will probably be stolen easily.
(especially where i live, to many rich people).

Cyberbob.
Does the plastic cover have a screen protector with it??!

no, it does say krusell on it, it say O2 on it
but it's exactly the same case

Yes it has a plastic protection for the screen thin enough to use it with the stylet.

I just got mine the other day from eBay, and the front face doesn't fit all the way on or stay on. I'm going to have to return it and find another one.
I've finally tested this case for more than 10 minutes and I really hate the fact that the edges are not beveled in, making it extremely hard to use my fingers to press the softkeys on the screen, onscreen scrolling and some slight awkwardness when pressing the outside buttons.
Mine was also made of white plastic, so it has this ugly white lip around the edges.
After removing my BodyGuardz skin, the case fits snugly and is very hard to remove (I accidentally cracked the lower piece while removing)
Oh well, you get what you pay for. Time to read up on Seidio cases
http://www.wirelessaccessories.com/... 8925 - TyTN II - Kaiser&sfid=134039&c=164107
I've used these for my last 2 devices. I don't recommend the rubberized as they scrape up easy. While you get what you pay for ($5.95 + ship) so I buy several. I prefer the protection from scratches and ease of use . It does make getting to buttons a little harder, I agree.
I went on Ebay and got a clear one for around $4 shipped. looks decent, works, only thing about the clear ones is that dust tends to collect under them and phone looks dirtier. a quick clean and back to new. i dont recomend dropping the phone using the case, but in all honesty i dont recommend droping the phone all together.

Tips for a cheap & cheerful carkit - and it works

I didn't want a transformers style carkit for my Kaiser so I bought a magnet off ebay for a PDA - the Krusell one for £4, it comes with a thin metal plate you attach to the back of your kaiser and the magnet you attach to your dash. Well, it takes a lot to impress me and I must say it looks the business, also means you can have the Kaiser where you want it and not cradled low down. By chance I had my Tomtom Go wired in the dash from the cig adaptor and it's the same fitting, so a bit of re-routing and I have a carkit for £4 and 10 minutes of my time....priceless.
I'll post some pics when it's light ok.
Thank you for sharing, also will you please post the eBay auction you bought it from?
thanks
dont forget the pics. I think that might be a simple way of using the phone in the car
Here's a similar item on ebay - item no 160199677279
Total price incl postage is £5.50 (it's a UK item) - the full description is KRUSELL QUICKMOUNTER MAGNET MAGNETIC PHONE HOLDER
Pics soon ok.
They also sell this at sfplanet here in the States. Bought all my Krussel stuff from them and they ship fast and are not too expensive. Think this is what he's talking about...

Can someone find a pic or maybe even take a pic of what this looks like when it's attached to the phone? As I've said in a previous post, I'm pretty leery of gluing anything to my baby. Maybe when I get my Seidio kit I'll stick one on that.
It's gonna take some convincing though.

Just for info...
Be aware that the sliding keyboard uses a magnetic detector to operate and if you suffer strange turn-ons (take a cold shower! ) you made need to use S2U2 or Kaiser Tweaks to disable it.
Same goes for some cases that have magnetic catches, they can sometimes turn your phone on inside the case when inserting.
OK, as promised:-

I don't actually own one of these, so I cannot tell you for sure, but from everything I have read and understand, nothing actually attaches to the back of the phone. The powerful magnet attaches to your dash and then just holds your phone there through magnetic attraction to the battery through the plastic cover.

As long as there are no issues with keyboard sensor (sliding sensor), I would be all over this. I like the clean look.
JB
prob is that you cannot tilt your phone in any way with this...
i gotta say it is a nice solution if you have a spot on your dash that is a good angle for your phone... i dont though so i have to get a mount with an actuating arm.
Haven't got a pic of the back sorry, with the krusell kit you get a very thin (1mm) plate which you apply to the back case of the Kaiser. This acts as the bond to the magnet. The instructions say you can place this plate inside your battery cover but their isn't enough clearance on the kaiser - it's hardly noticeable anyway.
I've been using mine now for 3 weeks and no problems, the magnet holds fantastic, the kaiser never falls off or moves when mounted. Best carkit I ever had.
Man, I'd love to see a picture of the back of the Kaiser with the plate on it.

This might ruin it for me, but I would have to see a picture. The price for the thing is very nice, but I don't really want to stick something onto my phone.

does anyone use the pouch?

I missed all my calls with the pouch on, simpilly cannot feel the "vibration". or am i the only one??
i did for about the first 30 minutes but then it became too much hasle taking it out evertime i wanted to look at the screen. i stuck on the screen protector instead.
I messed up my original screen protector because when I put it on it was slightly too big and there was an air-overlap at the bottom of the screen. I used the pouch to protect the screen until my brando one arrived.
Now I have rejected the pouch and can appreciate the HD to the max. BTW, the Brando is marvellous!!
I use it regularly, bit tight at first, but after some wear it's ok now.
Kept pressing the end call button while trying to get the phone out, but after a couple of calls you get used to getting it out right.
Bit worried about the pressure i have to exert on the top half when getting it in the pouch, i can hear the back cover click a little.
can you guys feel the vibration tho?
You absolutely feel the vibration, despite the pouch. What I dont like about the pouch is that its a flees/dirt magnet.

Yep, feeling it.
The pouch that comes with the phone....is the worst thing ever happened to mankind
Touch HD is a top notch device, however the pouch sucks. The pouch is more like something which belongs to a $50 device. Really can't grasp why HTC adds such a low grade pouch to such a high grade device.
Shame on you HTC!!
I really say this from the bottom of my heart. You have a great HIGH TECH product line, so don't go THAT CHEAP on the supplied accesoires and piss off your customers. Just a simple but very usefull - in the same class of the device - would be way more approporiate. Or, if that's too expensive, just leave it out - better than provide a fifth grade sollution.
Pardon my Englich but I think this is the very truth...

My pouch is much bigger after US Thanksgiving.
As far as the cheapo HTC pouch, it never crossed my mind to give it a try.
Considering most devices dont come with ANY pouch i dont think anyone has anything to complain about frankly. Similar priced devices give you nothing, no case and no screen protector.
No its not a premium case. but its good enough to protect your phone until you get a better one, should you wish to.
well maybe i'm the only one but I do like the pouch and I do think is very good...I think that is very good that HTC has provided us with a free pouch and a free memory card...
if you don't like it just don't use it but don't complain for something that is free...it's silly
there are many phones expensive as the HD that don't include anything more than the phone...

I like the pouch too, I use it mainly to transport it (eg when I bike to/from my work) and at work or at home I use it to place my HD on, which prevents the entire back of the frame from slowly scratching up, which happens to any other phone I've had. Also, it serves me as a cloth to clean the HD
edit: Yes I can certainly feel it vibrating through the pouch.

The pouch got on my tits quite quickly but I found that I still had the original HTC case for my old TyTn II (Kaiser) and that it holds the HD perfectly whilst not looking like a cheap, naff bit of velvet.
It will do until something better catches my eye.

Initial impression is the case is nice and as described. The materials and craftsmanship are above board. Coming from the HTC case that cam with my wizard I was due an upgrade and I instantly feel that I have moved several notches above that case. Magnets seem to be just strong enough. If they were stronger they would probably be overkill but I think overkill with a 500 dollar device is confidence inspiring. The hole on the bottom used to aid in retreiving the phone is a bit small for my mammoth hands. I am going to voice these concerns to the vendor to see what if anything can be done to appease me. I will keep you guys posted on the case as well as the customer service. To this point, I am very pleased with the service. The case was assembled and arrived here from Hong Kong inside two weeks during holiday season. The vendor was prompt with updates about assembly status and the date and time of shipment. I will post more as it develops.
Nice case. Too expesive for me. That costs more than my phone! (I got mine for $34). My case was $8 on ebay. Shipped. In the long run, I don't care that I got a cheap case, I could buy 5 and they'd equal the same amount of yours. But I won't need 5. So I'll save my money and buy something else
I always baby my toys and I can tell you that I looked for a cheap alternative and I could find none that actually "fit" the Fuze. Several Wizard/Hermes/Kaiser cases were being pushed at Raphael owners but the cases are simply too big in my opinion. I like form fitting version here. My tastes are modest, but these guys can do many texture and color combinations that are more austentatious than I could stomach. One can even select the thread color. Internally, the case can be designed with microfiber suede or suede in many colors as well. You select the clasp type and belt clip type as well. The case is shipped for free via airmail so 39.99 is the final price. I think it was money well spent, so far at least. I will let you know if my opinion changes in time.
I checked it out. Turns out, this is not the only type of case they offer! They have vertical, pouches, different types of horizontal lol. I like the form fitting, but if you search on eBay for "touch pro case" a lot of them come up and most of them fit the fuze.
I am still elated with this case. And, the fit and finish are still quite impressive. I contacted thet vendor and the guys have agreed to give me a new case with a larger hole. They didn't even request the other case as a return. This company is top notch and if you need the perfect case for your HTC Fuze then this is the way to go.

Sounds top notch. I'll buy one as a present for someone then and we'll see how it goes!
I have my username embossed in the front panel of the case. My wife has already commandered the case. For a while there I thought I was going to have one hell of a back up case... On the bright side I don't have to buy my wife one for her Fuze...
nice looking case, but you have to take the phone out of it to use the phone. to many steps for someone who is always using the phone in my opinion. there are many REALLY nice leather cases, but it just takes to much time to keep pulling it out each time there is a call or email for a power user in my opinion.
Thanks for posting the pictures. It really helps learning about the different options that are available.
I have never been one to keep the phone in my pocket, but even when I did, it was always more trouble to try retreive it from my pocket to field a call relative to a horizontal waist mounted case. Besides when I am busy with many calls I usually have my trusty Motorola H700 attached to my ear and as a result I don't even have to retreive the phone. If you don't mind my asking what is your favorite type of case, if you use one?

I also use my wireless headset, but still like to look at who is calling, lol. Or with emails have to look on it. with my blackberry phones in the past and now the fuze I have always been more of a skin person, then a carrying case person. My current case is this one - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=459761 and I am looking at the Seido one also.
Do you use MSVC? I have it set to announce all emails and incoming callers. This reduces the amount that I have to take the phone out.

I feel you there. It should be possible to change the voice. We can do it with navigation software, why not MSVC...

You could always get a bluetooth watch That'd show you who's calling. Or get a headset with a display.
What seller did you buy from? I can't seem to find a case for the Touch Pro (Fuze) on eBay? This case is exactly what I'm looking for.
The seller is WiWayCN, and I should have given a link to the auction I purchased from: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&item=390007490992.
Wonderful! Thanks so much!
Did you order the suede lining, or the microfiber? Belt Clip B?

There were no instructions to read. You simply said to buy a case, no links or anything.
My guess is that he has a case that does not have a cutout for the hardware keyboard on the sides (hard to tell from the video, but it didn't look like it). Normally this is thought of as a poor design choice since that means it interferes with the keyboard while open (if you flick the phone open, it may not lay flat). If the case is sufficiently thin though, you can probably wedge the case edge against the edge of the keyboard, effectively holding it in place. Just my guess though.
I bet you're totally right, a case without a cutout and case wall is thin enough to wedge in the space behind the back of screen. That is why he repeated, "push up, push up".

And here I thought someone found a new (real) solution...
it is a solution. You just need the 3 dollar case and push up and it wont become loose when you text on the bed.
Here is the link to the case the OP has (taken from his YouTube video):
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0045EI356/
Be warned, your mileage may vary with purchasing this case. There is a really long thread in the Accessories forum about this exact one from Amazon. It seems like some of the people who bought it received cases with the cutout and others received cases that didn't have it. Most likely depends on which vendor you buy from and what they have stocked (you'll notice there are currently 18 different vendors). Notice, even in the pictures on Amazon, the cutout is there...
I actually bought this case a long time ago when that thread started. Mine has the cutouts. Great case for cheap (and I actually wanted one with the cutouts so I got lucky).
He's got a link on his you tube page to buy the case, but look at this picture taken from his video it looks like his middle finger is on the other side holding the screen up, and keeping it from opening,Is this a scam to sell more cases???? You be the judge.

Everyones just being cautious, there are a ton of scam artist out there trying to make a buck by any means, Like I said it just looked funny, along with no explination of how the case actually works. Your op said BUY the case, then put it on, then push up on it, what does that sound like?

Alright ill make another video as soon as i can. I dont get paid for any of this. I have the G2 and the loose hinge annoys me when i text on the bed. You DONT have to buy the case. I only said buy the case because this particular case makes the screen stay up. I think is because of the clamps they get stuck. Ill make another video
I also have to wonder -- if you're pushing hard enough to wedge the case behind the raised part of the keyboard, are you also putting too much stress on the hinge mechanism?

I bought the case as well, and mine does NOT have the cutouts.
But for something that costs about $0.60-$0.80, who cares?!? How could this guy make money off of something so cheap? I still purchased the HTC OEM version as I wanted a better case that had those cutouts.
