A)Setting up XDA II for Internet GPRS
***Setting up the connection
1. On the PDA, tap on Start, tap on Settings, tap on Connections, and tap on the Connection icon.
2. Tap on Advanced and tap on Select Networks.
3. Tap on New under Programs that automatically connect to the Internet should connect using drop down box and enter Vodafone Egypt under the input box that display Enter a name for these settings.
4. Tap on Modem and tap on New.
5. Under the Enter a name for the connection input box, enter Vodafone MMS.
6. Under the Select a modem menu, select Cellular Line (GPRS) and tap Next.
7. Under the Access point name input box, enter mms.vodafone.comand tap Next.
8. Under the User Name input box, enter internet
9. Under the Password input box, enter internet
10. Under the Domain input box, leave this field blank.
11. Tap on Finish and tap 3 times on the OK button located on the upper right hand corner.
12. Tap on the X button located on the upper right hand corner, you will now return to the main screen.
Now you can brows the net using GPRS ....

Setting up the MMS profile
1. Tap on Start; tap on Programs and than tap on the MMS composer icon.
2. Tap on Tools and tap on Options.
3. Tap on Servers and tap and hold on any servers that are already available and tap on New.
4. Under the Server Name input box, enter MMS
5. Under the Gateway input box, enter 163.121.178.002
6. Under the Server Address input box, enter http://mms.vodafone.com.eg/servlets/mms
7. Tap OK.
8. Tap on Preference and under the Connect via menu, select Vodafone MMS
9. Under the Connect to server menu, select MMS.
10. Untick Download on home network only and tap on the OK button located on the upper right hand corner.
11. Tap on the X button located on the upper right hand corner twice, you will now return to the main screen.
The device is now configured for MMS....

no page appear,..... i changed the browser program, INTERNET EXPLORER, NET FRONT,AND NOW OPERA.
a message appear every time i'm trying to open any page
(could not locate remote server), I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO

in step 7 in the gprs settings it should be internet.vodafone.net
as for the mms am not sure sisnce i don't use it anyway. but if you call vodafone customer service they will give you full instructions. ( i tried that before and worked very well )

I phoned Vodafone and they emailed me the setup instructions as well as going through it exstensively over the phone but still no luck. Any one on Vodafone got MMS working.

Setting up the connection

T-mobile internet settings

my 7500 arrived yesterday and i spent some time connecting the device with Tier 3 tech support from T-Mobile. (god i love t-mobile ) as long as you pay for the internet they could care less what you hook up.
anyway it appers that some phones had different settings on order to work.
if anyone is interested i will post them.
till then, the only problem i have encountered is the video is a little choppy with certain formats..
T Mobile
Have an unlocked xda 11i but use T monbile sim (been with them for years) - due to sd card corruption have lost settings and can't restore.
T mobile as oyu say not too helpful - would be interetsed if you have settings for xda 11i

Set up t-zones / T-MobileWeb
Setting up the handset
1. Tap Start.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap on the Connections tab.
4. Tap the Connections icon.
5. Tap Add a new modem connection under T-Mobile GPRS.
6. Enter T-Zones in the Enter a name for the connection field.
7. Tap to select Cellular Line (GPRS) from the Select a modem drop down list.
8. Tap Next.
9. Enter wap.voicestream.com in the Access point name field. (*** If you have $19 unlimited GPRS/Edge service use internet.voicestream.com instead)
10. Tap Next.
11. Tap Finish.
12. Tap Edit my proxy server under T-Mobile GPRS.
13. Tap to check This network connects to the Internet.
14. Tap to check This network uses a proxy server to connect to the Internet.
15. Enter 216.155.165.050 in the Proxy server field.
16. Tap Advanced.
17. Tap HTTP.
18. Enter 8080 in the Port field.
19. Tap OK four times.
20. Tap Start again.
21. Tap Internet Explorer.
22. Browse to http://wap.t-zones.com.
23. Tap Menu.
24. Tap Tools and tap Options.
25. Tap Use Current under Home page.
26. Tap OK.
The new WAP profile is now configured and ready for use.

1. Tap Start.

6. Enter PictureMessaging in the Enter a name for the connection field.

vodaphone settings for MMS

Finaly got vodaphone to send me the settings for MMS on samrtphones,
IT should work on all PDAs running Win Mobile 5 & 6 .
MMS Settings Start by creating a GPRS MMS connection. 1. Tap Start and then tap Settings . 2. Tap on the Connections tab at the screen bottom. 3. Tap Connections 4. Tap the Advanced tab at the screen bottom. 5. Tap the Select Networks button 6. Tap the New button under My ISP . 7. Name it Vodafone MMS and then tap the Modem tab. 8. Tap the New button. 9. Name the connection Vodafone MMS and select Cellular Line GPRS as modem. Tap the Next button. 10. Type wap.vodafone.co.uk in the Access point name box. Tap the Next button. 11. Enter User name wap 12. and Password wap 13. Leave the domain field blank. 14. Tap the Finish button. Please Note When verifying pre-configured settings the password wap will be masked by 16 stars . This is a security feature of the Microsoft operating system. 15. Tap Ok in the top right corner. 16. Change the preferred connection in the top box from Vodafone MMS to My ISP and then tap the top right Ok button. Tap the Start button and select Today. Co!nf!igure the MMSC 1. Tap the Start Button and select Messaging . 2. Tap the Tools menu and select MMS Settings .3. Select Vodafone MMS in the Connect via box. Check the Retrieve messages immediately box and tap the Servers tab at the bottom of the screen. 4. Tap the sample server. 5. Please Note Minimising the on-screen keyboard by apping the icon at the bottom of the screen will reveal the following fields Change Server name to Vodafone MMSC Gateway 212.183.137.12 Port number 9201 Server address http mms.vodafone.co.uk servlets mms Sending size limit 100k 6. Tap the Ok button and then the top right Ok button.

8525 Set For T-Mobile Not Receiving MMS or Internet

Hello I'm new to this community and I'm also new at modifying these phones, however yesterday I went to the T-Mobile store and checked the settings for my MMS and still wasn't able to receive MMS no matter what picture they sent me it will only show a thumbnail of only 3K in size, when going to my messaging options I can only see the Inbox, Outbox & Draft folder but no Sent folder... The T-Mobile emailed me the settings but I still can't get it to work, they said Cingular phones aren't capable to connecting with T-Mobile MMS I don't know if is BS or what but here's what he emailed me
Configuring MMS on a Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard Device
1. Tap on Start
2. Scroll to and tap on Messaging
3. Tap on Menu (lower right corner)
4. Tap on MMS Configuration
5. Tap on the Preferences tab and verify the following settings
6. Verify that Retrieve messages Automatically is: [checked]
7. Verify that Download on home network only is: [unchecked]
8. Save sent messages is: [optional]
9. Reject all messages is: [optional]
10. Allow delivery report is: [optional]
11. Allow read report is: [optional]
12. Use signature with this account is: [optional]

11. Ensure that Username is left: [blank]
12. Ensure that Password is left: [blank]

16. Verify that the box next to This Network Connects to the Internet is: [checked]
17. Verify that the box next to This Network uses a Proxy server to connect to the internet is: [checked]
18. Tap on the Proxy Server box and enter: [216.155.165.050]
19. Tap on the Advanced button
20. Tap on the HTTP field
21. Verify that the server is listed as: [216.155.165.050]
22. Tap in the Port field and enter: [8080]
23. Tap OK in the upper right corner 3 (three) times to return to the main screen
24. If the device has a wap data package already provisioned then open Internet Explorer and attempt to browse a wap page such as [wap.myvoicestream.com]
On top of that after installing the CAB file which allows you to set up the internet for the 39.99 package it doesn't even go on the internet, I'm using the Manila2D package with TouchFLO 2d included, the weather won't update either so as you can see couple of different issues, I've tried flashing the phone couple of times with different ROMs and always having the same problem... your help is greatly appreciated

Do a search for and download Arcsoft mmscomposer.cab - I use 5.0.31.11.
Then run the configuration tool, if you have a rom that has it cooked in otherwise do a search, download the .cab and install it.
This should set you right...

Any Kiwis having trouble with 2Degrees windows mobile settings see below:
INTERNET
Setting up the Internet data account
1. On the handset, tap Start and select Settings.
2. Tap the Connections tab.
3. Tap the Connections icon.
4. Tap the Advanced tab.
5. Tap Select Networks.
6. Under the first drop down box, tap New…
7. In the Enter a name for these settings: field, enter 2D WEB
8. Tap the Modem tab.
9. Tap New…
10. In the Enter a name for the connection: field, enter 2D WEB
11. Tap the Select a modem drop-down list and select Cellular Line (GPRS, 3G).
12. Tap Next.
13. In the Access point name: field, enter internet
14. Tap Next.
15. In the User name: field enter (this field may intentionally be left blank)
16. In the Password: field enter (this field may intentionally be left blank)
17. Tap Finish.
18. Tap the Proxy Settings tab.
19. Select the This network connects to the Internet option.
20. Tap ok three times.
21. Tap x to close the Settings screen.
22. Tap Start, then launch Internet Explorer.

6. Tap Servers, then New.
7. Enter 2D MMS
8. Scroll to Gateway and enter 118.148.1.118
9. Scroll to Port number and enter 8080
10. Scroll to Server Address and enter http://mms.2degreesmobile.net.nz:48090
11. Select 2D MMS from the Connect via drop-down list.
12. From WAP Version select WAP 2.0
13. Tap Done.
14. Highlight 2D MMS and tap Set As Default.
15. Tap ok.

waterworth, you're a lifesaver!!! The information on the 2degrees website wasn't particularly helpful, but with your instructions I've now got MMS and mobile Internet working on my brand new HTC HD2! I don't think I could've figured it out otherwise.
Now we just need 2degrees to roll out that 3G network...

I've finally been able to configure my old i-mate JasJar to send mms and connect to the internet - after trying to use the 2degrees configurator and manual config numerous times without success.
