T-mobile internet settings - Advantage X7500, MDA Ameo General

my 7500 arrived yesterday and i spent some time connecting the device with Tier 3 tech support from T-Mobile. (god i love t-mobile ) as long as you pay for the internet they could care less what you hook up.
anyway it appers that some phones had different settings on order to work.
if anyone is interested i will post them.
till then, the only problem i have encountered is the video is a little choppy with certain formats..

T Mobile
Have an unlocked xda 11i but use T monbile sim (been with them for years) - due to sd card corruption have lost settings and can't restore.
T mobile as oyu say not too helpful - would be interetsed if you have settings for xda 11i
thanks so much

Hi Milli,
As the phone isn't a Vodafone handset I can't guarantee that the Vodafone Live service or any other internet service will work, but you can try with these settings and hopefully will have some luck!

Sorry, I hadn't realised you're a Vodafone Ireland customer. The settings for this will be different, and I can't find anywhere online what the server addresses and things are unforunately.

Vodafone settings for my SPV M600

Hi,
Could someone please help me....I've just left Orange and moved to Vodafone and my SPV M600 does not want to play! I'd really appreciate it if someone could provide me with information (or point to where I can find it) so that the GPRS, MMS, SMS, voicemail, etc, etc could be made to work on this phone.
Many thanks
Hi freefingers,
We at Vodafone don't stock that particular sort of handset, so as such we can't guarantee that all of the services will work.
For SMS you'll need to change the Message Centre Number to Vodafone's which is +447785016005.
Voicemail should already be accessible by calling 121 from the phone.
To get MMS and GPRS working, you'll need to add Vodafone's settings to the handset which I've pasted below. Again, I can't guarantee this will work as it's not a Vodafone phone, but fingers crossed it will!
Have a nice day,
edwardpeter

Vodafone UK data settings – STRANGE setup behaviour (HTC p3600)

I recently did a Hard Reset on my HTC p3600 (WM5). I have been unable to re-establish my data connection (internet/email/wap/mms) with Vodafone UK (monthly contract). I could not remember how I set up the phone originally when I bought it from Expansys UK in April 07. I phoned Vodafone for the settings but the trained monkey was predictably useless. I checked threads on this site to no avail (Even downloaded an empty zip folder that had promised a CAB file with all necessary settings http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=285360)
I found a list of settings here (see link) to enable internet/wap/mms/email: http://www.4winmobile.com/forums/ppc-faq/6251-q-what-uk-roi-gprs-settings-web-wap-mms.html. Still I am unable to connect.
I did notice some STRANGE SET BEHAVIOUR. As instructed I set up connections for Vodafone Wap and Vodafone Internet. According to the above site the Vodafone ‘username’ & ‘passwords’ for both of these connections are ‘web’ & ‘web‘. I entered these and saved the connections. Later, having no success connecting, I went back to check the settings I had entered. For both connections the username ‘web’ remained the same, but the password had changed to something with about 13 characters. I can change it back to ‘web’ but once I save the settings it seems to revert to this longer unknown password (it shows as a row of asterixes). Any suggestions on what to do next are very welcome.
I believe your password is hashed to some kind of key (possibly 13 characters). This is stored instead of the three characters 'web', providing better security, since a malicious counterparty can neither `read' your password from a file, nor narrow his brute force search by examining the length of the password string.
I have a Vodafone UK contract (also bought from expansys) and used the following cab file from this thread back in my WM5 days:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=310876
Why not upgrade to a WM6 rom? That has all the 'customization' settings built in so you never have to worry about how to restore these things...
Hi midgeslayer,
To make sure you do have the correct settings for internet, e-mail, WAP and MMS, here are the settings for Windows mobile 5 devices. It could be that the settings you've followed are not quite correct which is affecting the connection. Try these ones and see how you get on:-

waterworth, you're a lifesaver!!! The information on the 2degrees website wasn't particularly helpful, but with your instructions I've now got MMS and mobile Internet working on my brand new HTC HD2! I don't think I could've figured it out otherwise.
Now we just need 2degrees to roll out that 3G network...
Thanks so much,
Kate.
Yep, thanx, but don't forget to set HSDPA to off !
legendary!
I've finally been able to configure my old i-mate JasJar to send mms and connect to the internet - after trying to use the 2degrees configurator and manual config numerous times without success.
Cheers!
Thanks, will post this info on proper thread GPRS/Internet Connection Settings for the whole world
Thanks for posting this! I don't have much use for them - I can remember the APN's from all the times i've put them in - but its good its here!
