mda crashes during radio update - any tips? - MDA, XDA, 1010 Software Upgrading

the mda crashes during the radio update. bootmenu 5.15 is accessible. but it shows gsm-error and the phone don´t start. what can i do in this case?
thx a lot :?:

Hi nasenmann,
I do not know if I will be able to help you (Im waiting for mine xda) but as you have made the upgrade? Have you made a backup (if possible, I don't know )?

More details?
Hi,
Do you have some more details? What was the original version?
What version did you try to update it to? What happened during the update? What version of WinCE are you running?

win ce version was 3.13, radio version 4.06. during downgrade to german 3.07 version freezes the mda. after soft and hardreset the device don´t start. is it possible to restore the gsm-soft on the device? :?:

I'm still confused. You are trying to downgrade WinCE from 3.13 to 3.07?
Cause I don't know of a radio version 3.07.
You say it crashes during a radio update. Why are you upgrading the radio and to which version are you up/downgrading?
If your device won't restart wince, I would guess that is broken. If the bootloader still works as you say, try to write the wince image (*.nb1) to a SD card (with our ROM Image tool) and restore from that.

the 3.07 is the off. german t-mobil version. and the problem is not the win ce. the problem is the crashed gsm section. and the sd-restore procedure with bootloder and ce was not successful.
sorry for my bad english

I have exactly the same problem, mine hung because of insufficient power (I think). It seems that Pocket PC Phone Edition cant make a proper boot if the Radio module is corrupt. Flashing boot and ce seems to be successfull. Due to the insuccessfull boot the device is unable to charge batteries, have also tried making an autostarting cab (on an sd card), which works. But since the battery check fails, the radio upgrade/downgrade never starts. The only option (without cracking the case open), that I see, is to use the GSM ROM option in the Bootloader/Flash Tools. But I am unable to locate anyone that has the required PC Monitor (and the knowlodge).
If I get any further I will post as soon as possible.
Cheers

Hi again.
As my previous post, the device didnt boot correctly. The screen calibration didnt pop up. Only a white screen with a blue title bar showed. However if I pushed the volume button the Today screen showed up. But nothing else could be done. I wrote an autoexecuting cab installer and in the latest radio upgrade (T3.19, cab format) I successfully reflashed the corrupt radio module .The previous upgrades flashes the radio while the system is up. The new flashes directly after the device has been reset. The "Disconnect Power" is no longer a requirement either
Cheers

Please please please.
If you have found a way of re-programming a corrupted GSM ROM could you tell us in 'dumbass' talk how you did it so we can all bask in the glory of a fully functional XDA once again.
Thanks
eladsalad

Sorry eladsalad, I thought I did.... didnt mean to step on anyones toes. It requires some knowledge in pocket pc and programming  .
1. Ripped a install cab application (example http://www.microsoft.com/MOBILE/developer/images/ch11.html section 11.5.6) and compiled it in embedded visual c++ 3.0
2. Save the compiled file as autostart.exe in a folder called 2577 at a sd card (which makes it autostart when sd card is inserted)
3. Place the Radio upgrade 3.19 cab file version (the newest and the one that reboots before flashing) in the root of the sd card (same filename as specified in the autostart app)
4. Insert sd card into the broken qtek 1010 and it should begin installing. After install it should reboot and begin flashing.
Note: I had to have power and a sim card inserted while flashing. Mine hung a couple of times but it will reflash if soft reset.
Good luck, post me if more help is needed.

Hi,
Very nice idea to do it this way. It is pretty similar to the GSM update through the bootloader, although you do not need a working CE that way.
To give an idea of the GSM update through the bootloader (although I never tried it ) :
This is written to an SD card (similar to the XDA ROM Image Tool):
marker that this is a GSM ROM flasher
the monitor code (S record format).
the entry address of the monitor code.
the Flash ROM update (S record format).
The monitor code is part of the normal RSUpgrade and runs in the GSM RAM and flashes the image. Because I don't like to crash my XDA just to test this, I haven't yet. Maybe we can built it into the ROM Image Tool for some to test, but it will be a little while.

Sorry to be a pain...but i cannot find a single reference for any 3.19 update on the internet. Which provider is it from?
Thanks.

3.19
3.19 is a Scandinavian only fix. They have an issue with 999 NOT dialling Emergency Numbers.

Download 3.19 GSM Rom
Anybody has the address to download the 3.19 GSM Rom.
Thanks

Can you make your compiled autostart.exe available for others to download.
I'm wondering if it will work if other manufacturers Radio upgrade cab is renamed to the same as inside your exe.
XDA developer W4XY
I have a couple of O2 XDA that have broken Radio's. I would be very happy to test an SD card radio upgrade.

Precision on RSU crash
Hello,
I have wanted to upgrade my XDA with the rsu_eng.exe and ruu_eng.exe files available on the 02 Ireland site. Unfortunately the upgrade have failed at 16% during the upload of the Radio Stack Upgrade Utility (before the download of the RUU). My phone didn't respond anymore. After a soft reset, I discovered that the Start Menu had disappeared. I would try to use the Wallaby Bootloader (v15) but it didn't seem to work because it wrote : GSM ERROR...
In few words : It is the same problem as namesann. Does the Chosl method work? Does it need a SD card Adapter to build the SD Card boot with his PC?
What can I do? Please, Help.

I have done all the instruction that chosl give
The url to what should be in your SD card is

It will start the file but the problem it will stop at 1% and do not do any thing and it will say
flash failed!
Press OK restart your device.
And keep doing this

Has anyone been able to recover using this method. I have the same problem and I just want to know if I try this, will it work. Will my Qtek boot if I write these files on an MMC as mentioned.
Is there another way to fix the Qtek. Mine also stopped during radio upgrade and now gives GSM error.

Hi.
I saw the posts, the upgrade is shaky.. hard to keep track on what versions very better and which were worse. But here is some more information about what I used. Hope that it will get a few more devices working 100%.
My upgrade also stopped at different places.. about 3 or 4 times. Also tried it with the sim card both in and out. Sorry, I dont really remember if it was inserted or not when it succedeed.
I used ROM version 3.16.13 ENG (3.16.17 weren't released until two weeks later?).
I didnt have a SD card reader so I used a spare ( ) Qtek to put the files to the card.
Best of luck! and thanks "guest" (who ever you are?) for the special thanks.

3.16.17? what is that? it exists?

Announcing XDAtools: a complete new ROM-image toolset

We've finally replaced XDArit and created something much friendlier and much more powerful...
XDAtools
XDAtools is a set of tools that deal with the ROM of your device. As you may know, your little device actually contains two computers, one being a PDA and the other doing all the telephone functions. Presently, XDAtools deals with the ROM of the PDA side of your device only, it does not allow you to do anything to do with phone ROM upgrades (which are also called 'Radio Stack Upgrades' or RSU).

Using the OS Image Tool that is part of XDAtools you can read the Operating System ROM image from the flash-ROM memory of your device to your harddisk, and put another OS image in your device. All of this can be done without using SD-cards for transport. This set of tools will replace our previous tool XDArit as the means of moving ROM images to and from SD-cards, should you want or need to use SD-cards and the bootloader as the means of getting a ROM image in or out of your device. You can even read and write images to and from bootloader SD-cards through ActiveSync while your device still has its OS running.
Start the osimagetool with the argument "--register" to create file associations that will allow you to perform useful actions straight from Windows Explorer.
Also included is a tool to replace a bootloader without ever even leaving the Operating System.
Please note: To be completely functional, the XDAtools would need inclusion of some files from HTC's "Programme A" upgrade package, as well as a v5.15 bootloader image if you want to be able to fix bootloaders. All instructions to do this, as well as README files for the tools and all the sourcecode are in the zip.
Click here to download the latest version (without the extra files needed for flashing to the device directly and for fixing a bootloader)
AWESOME work!!!
Just one small issue - when selecting file as a target, the suffix is not added automaticaly - i got slightly confused I had to add .nb1 by hand

Good Works
Hi,
Good works for XDA Dev Team. I still confused to use this tools.
SOURCE : from new NK.nbf file we want to upgrade on my device
Destination : what we chose ? device memory
i read on your README File, we just put all Programe A content and bootloader_V5_15.nbo to binaries folder. And if we want to ugrade from PPC 2002 to PPC 2003 we just change the NK.nbf file on the binaries/english
Add to /binaries:
"bootloader_v5_15.nb0"
"Programme A.exe"
Add to /binaries/English:
"CLoader_serial.nb"
"CLoader_usb.nb"
"GetConnectionType.dll"
"NK.nbf"
"remote_flash.exe"
"SetSystemTime.dll"
Please tell me if im wrong because i don't want made the second mistake, and sorry for my english
Thanks

To All XDA-Dev. Great Job!!!! it is a very nice tool, I can even backup my OS even my XDA is still running, no need for messy booting, inserting/removing SD card. i have only one question, Does it copy also the program I already installed in the XDA or it copy only the files in the ROM?
More power to XDA-Developers.

Hi rpc,
Why do you include adaptrom.exe? And what's in the start.bat?
Could you explain it a bit? Pardon, my slowness in understanding......
Thanks in advance.

I added Start.bat because the program XDATools when run and you select Destination "Device memory (via Program A)" it will look for Start.bat, it is a batch file which run the adaptrom.exe and Program A.exe. Now what is adaptrom.exe -> it is a program which removes the checking of version when your creating an update to your XDA.
Hope this will help you.
Ronnie
Hi Ronnie,
All clear. Thanks. Appreciated.
This is a great tool. It replaces many many headache of bootloader flashing.
Brgds - Ben
Hi,
When I tried to copy from file to file, eg from _.nb1 to _.nb1, or _nb1 to to _.nbf, or anyother combinations, I got error messages: incorrect file size.
Could anyone tell me why?
Thanks - Ben
I fixed the missing files (they were in my path from another experiment, duh...), and will look into matters more this coming week.
I blame the heat and the exhaustion of the CCC camp...

I am a little slow on this, but can I use XDATools to upgrade to a ROM image I already have on the XDA without going through SD card readers??
Well, I have 4.00.10 T-Mobile with RSU upgrade and i want to upgrade to Jeff's 4.00.10 cooked ROM Image. Now, I understand that as of right now, one can not upgrade from a 4.00.10 image to any other image without using SD Card reader. Will the XDATools eliminate the process of the SD Card reader, and could I upgrade to Jeff's 4.00.10 cooked ROM Image??
- Thanks, ..

No you can not upgrade from 4.00.10 TMobile to another OS because TM-4.00.10 has a protection that even adaptrom can not break, but if your on another OS like 4.00.05 or 3.17.00 you can use XDATools because it will use Program A to upgrade it.
More power to XDA-Team.

:!: Yes you can make a backup of your current OS, by selecting Source as "Device memory (current rom)" and destination as "c:\nk.nbf" or any type of file you want. without booting the device, even your XDA is running.
:!: Yes you can make an update to 4.00.05 WM2003 then downgrade it back to the one you back up (3.17 PPC 2002) because of the adaptrom.exe (doesn't check the version and checksum).

Am I right in guessing that this is not Windows Mobile 6?
I've currently got the MDA Compact 3 and in the wiki there isnt a Rom available for download for the TMobile version.
Does anyone know where I can get it just in case this goes wrong?
Also would I be able to uninstall Messenger Live and any of the other software which is installed in this update?
Thanks.

I think this is not possible. For friends with CID-locked device, please be warned and prepared your device's original ROM in case the upgrade fails. Otherwise, you will brick your phone.

I had an unsucssesfull upgrade of my HTC P3300. I got hang up on start screen and had to put my device into a bootloader and flash test russian rom 1.14.411 back.
can someone tell me how to put this on my orbit please? im new to all this stuff.
Any chance of getting just the WM6 customisation without having to install the whole rom ?
I think that would simplify things for those of us with CID locked Phones.

I finally done it. I have same problem, after flashing, there was only white screen and in background I heard introductory sonnet, but screen was still white. So I tried before flashing copy "phcanOverbmp.dll" to Windows folder and then I flash up ROM. After hard reset it works at last. And don't forget install "Tom_v2.00.01_ART_patch.cab" after hard reset.

1) I had original HTC ROM 1.12.405.01 026790 WWE SHIP and I copied
"phcanOverbmp.dll" to Windows folder (replace existing file).
2) I deactivated radio module on Artemis, disabled internet connection and
firewall on notebook and started "UpgradeRom_Artemis.bat".
3) After aprox. 15 minutes it finished without errors.
4) I did hard reset, after bootsplash the boot logo went up, but freezed.
5) I did hard reset again and it worked perfect for me.
6) After succesful booting, I have installed "Tom_v2.00.01_ART_patch.cab" yet.

Downgrading ROM

I'm not sure if anyone else would like to do this, so it might have to be a personal favor for me
I'm pretty new to all these ROM issues, been using my Polaris since 2008, but didnt fool around with it much until recently HTC released their official wm6.1 ROMs so I decided to check it out.
However there are a few issues with the phone now
1. I cannot install Thai language onto the phone so I cannot read SMS that are in Thai. (if anyone has the cab/exe file for me it would be great) the last time I installed the phone resets after installation and never came back on again, and so I had to HardReset again
2. I backed up my SMS and they used to come up as individual SMS everytime I restored them, but after I upgrade to 6.1 it becomes threaded, which is a bit inconvenient.
But as of today, I found some problem with the touch keyboard, so I decided to Hard Reset once more, now I see 260 SMS while scrolling, but I can only see the ones on my SIMcard when I stop scrolling, so I was wondering if I could downgrade the ROM back to 6.0 (the original one)
_________________________________
now I also want to try the various new ROMs that are being released, and I wanted to know if I could change it in any order, or I can only upgrade from a lower (older) version to a higher (newer) version.
now I read something about HardSPL, I downloaded the zip file but there wasn't any instruction inside so I'm not sure how it works
The warranty is over so I'm willing to risk weird stunts as long as I dont crash the phone all together.
so in summary, I need
1. to know if I can downgrade the ROM to the original one
2. to know how to get the HardSPL to work (and do I really need it)
3. Thai language support
4. non-threaded SMS
5. if there is anything cool you people would like to recommend go ahead
Thank you in advance,
Chan (UG)

1. yes....flash the original rom on my thread
2. look here:

Ok I tried installing the HardSPL and I think something went wrong
I was told to replug the USB which I did, but the phone pretty much went unresponsive, I waited for 30 minutes but nothing happened, so I Exited the program and restarted my phone.
Nothing seemed to have changed with the phone, I mean, it works the same old way it used to.
but when I pressed the camera and hit reset, to go to the tricolor screen.
the SPL changed from 1.xxxx to 3.13 something like that
but the tutorial said it has to go to SPL-2.20.Olinex
now I'm pretty confused
Edit: I also have a program called JumpSPL which cannot be runned
Edit2: ok I retired and successfully got the HardSPL done
however I face a problem related to the SMS now
I originally backed up my SMS, and until recently when I restored everything use to come back, but now I get only the sent SMS and the Drafts back, the inbox still shows a total of 260 SMS but I can only see the ones that are on my SIM card, fortunately I have another PIM backup which I used another program to back up my stuff back in November 2009, but I got some important SMS sent and received during December and January
I don't really mind sending people my dbk (backup file) if they need to check if the file works, because I kept backing up on top of the previous file, I have only 1 back up file which has everything till 28th Feb 2010 but the SMS dont come in

1. I used some weird program to backup before I upgraded to the win6.1 ROM which I got from the HTC
all the SMS came up properly, there was no problem at all
Then I went to install my old Thai language support, and the phone froze
So I HardReset the phone again and restored the backup again
all the SMS came up Properly, there was no problem at all
then after a few days I noticed that the touch keyboard (the cool looking one) wasn't working properly, so I did another backup (which replaced the previous backup file) and HardReset once more
then when I restored, nothing came up in the inbox other than the SMS that were stored on the SIM, however when I roll the whell over the SMS it said selected 1/260 items, but all I see are the 7 SMS on the SIM and not the other 260 that are supposed to be on the phone.
2. Not many people use windows mobile, all iphone and bb lovers around me
3. HardReset many times, never flashed any new rom.
then I found another back up file, which was backed up back in november 2009, I restored that one, but I still have 3 months worth of SMS missing from there
I did try this stunt anyhow, I restored the file with all the 'unseeable' SMS and then restored the november back up on top of that, so I have all SMS [sent and received] till november + all sms [sent only] till feb 28th, but the received sms [from nov to feb] is still missing
I did get Tom's sms app, but i cannot run it, I got some error
and I'm willing to try Flashing a ROM, so just recommend me something, I'm not really choosy at the moment.
Thanks,
Chan.

1. mmhh...try if you can extract the file on pc...or something like that...
->it´s the only one idea i have...sorry
2. yes...i know this...but with wm 6.5 update i have 2 friends convince for a htc (sorry for the english)
but it´s a problem of all people with IPhone and so on...the phone is good but compared with newer or even a wm 6.5 phone it´s not the best...but much people think it´s the best...
3. for flash look on my thread under steps...there is all you need
->if you want not my rom but another flash another...it´s always your choice what you flash
-> but the way you must do...is on my thread under steps
edit:
flash:
1. first original rom and hard reset (hold the two left and right buttons on the bottom + stylus reset) if you see the calibration screen
2. rom of your choice.. also with hard reset
3. radio (soft reset comes automatic)....not a must have....but if you have little freeze
Ok will try flashing one of your ROMs, since I messed up my device again by installing the Thai language support. I used to be able to use the one designed for WM2003SE but they won't let the device boot anymore
ok do let me know which wm6.5 ROM consumes the least amount of resource (space and memory)
I like my phone to run fast.

ok 3 more question
1. what do the numbers in the parenthesis mean
like (28014) (23518)
2. can i add footprints to the ROMs without footprints later?
suppose I wanted to use [WWE 6_5_X] ALEX-V [23518].2010_01_22 [-3D]
it does not have footprints included, would I be able to add it later?
3. [WWE 6_1__] RUU_Polaris_HKCSL_WWE_..... is the one from HTC site right?

ok so i have had the hd2 for a week or 2 now..been kinda bad tbh...allot of random reboots on streaming, msn wont sign in, sometimes it just freezes and have to soft reboot it..so now ive hard resetted it and i would like to have a small and helpful explanation on what rom i should get (your opinion) and why, I only want to use msn and internet most of the time and music...so i dont need something where i can uber mod my phone..my current phone looked like this :

i read that roms are kinda like the OS of a pc, the thing that makes it all work and run...i dont see what could be so different but there are wayy to many roms to choose from that i kinda lost sight in whats good and whats not for me... so if any1 could help me on my way id be very thankfull!
Personally i would do the following:
1) Get the latest stock rom for your provider from htc.
2) flash it.
3) Hit the tips and tweaks thread and the performance tweaks thread.
3a) Install all applicable tweaks (note: there are some that must not be applied to 1.66 and above roms. You'll also need a copy of phm's registry editor)
4) Install the new MS marketplace app, then update the facebook appliction and then install office 2010 (would be an idea to use wifi for this).
5) Install chainfire's 3D driver and configure (set the fastest settings)
6) Install netripper's LCS. Disable autoscalling, enable 998mhz clock and set to change at startup. This is not overclocking the phone just forcing it to run at the fastest defualt clock even when it is not under heavy load
7) Install hspl, hspl2 or hspl1024 (which ever is applicable)
8) Install radio version 2.10.50.19_2 to improve wifi and battery life
9) Turn of your phone, pull the SD card, stick it in a card reader and back it up. Then format it into fat32 with 16KB or 32KB allocation unit size. Copy all the data back and put it in your phone
Oh one last thing. Find a backup util that will take a backup of the registry, text messages, contacts etc and run it. I use PHM to back up my registry and Pimbackup to do everything else
i totally do not know what all that stuff is LOL i dont know ho o edit registery..i tried to understand but its pretty hard >_> i dont use facebook nor word so dont need those rly

ehm, you're the epitome of what is usually called "n00b"
Here you have a forum literally filled with information, there are tons of sticky threads with tutorials and guides, so you may want to go here first:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=534
and read the first threads.
You will have to read anyway, either our replies or those tutorials, so better read the tutorials

I'm a patient guy, really i am, but i honestly thought that i made it clear that that proceedure is what i would do if it was my phone. I posted it because it has made my phone quicker, easier to use and more stable in all areas.
The tweaks threads are http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=583638 and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=629388. Sit and read them from post 1 to the very last. Any issues, ask there but tbh it's not difficult. Getting out of bed in the morning is harder. Just approach it after a coffee of two and "switched on"
Chainfire's 3d driver is available here --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=592663 (don't download the benchmark package)
Netripper's LCS is here --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=682663
PHM can be found here --> http://www.freewareppc.com/utilities/phmregistryeditor.shtml

Right, if you are a smart guy you'll already know that google is your best friend in forum land and if you want to learn you have to want to do things for yourself. So i'm not going to baby you but instead leave you to it unless you really are stuck. I've posted quite alot of information in those links on various things. Most of them are sticky threads.
I had a string of nokia's before i got my first XDA orbit (HTC Artemis) and tbh i found it alot like using my pc and that's how i treat all the WM devices that i've had. It's not really a phone more a PDA with a phone module. Thinking of your HD2 like this may help you
thx imma read the stuff
already found the driver thing and put it too 8ms or something so thats done, i flashed my phone(got the msg ''we hacked it '') and ill instal that ''radio'' later when i have everything on my phone on my pc so i wont lose it all =) ill go and download that netstripper and nhm things and see what they do thx
if you flash the radio with customruu there is a version that will not wipe your phone when it's complete
but i dont know what versions of radios etc to get lol im still checking out on how to do this reg stuff...lol
i installed that hspl thingy a long time ago(well..3days or so) but never installed a ''radio'' so if i flash something...does this change the rom too? like if i have lets say the standard everything HTC phone has of my provider and i flash it..will this change anything to the updates etc of the rom or is flashing simply put ''cracking the key to be able to mod everything'' ?
offtopic : does any1 know if there is a mediaplayer for the htc that supports .VOB? i downloaded the pacific but its all vob files..and croeplayer i think doesnt work for vob
edit 2: ok installed the cpu thing overlcoked it to the 1st green one and the edit reg thing i think is not needed because i already have bsb and cht and i read that most of the regedit is IN bsb yay! im starting to understand now haha only the radio is remaining but i think i will pass on that one
If you flash the radio using customruu it will flash just the radio rom. I did post the best radio version so far a little earlier (there are two newer versions but they seem to suck the battery and by all acounts the wifi signal is worse). I find 2.10.50.19 is the best, as do many others.
If you flash the latest stock from your provider it may or may not include an updated radio. One thing it probably will do is update the boot loader with a locked one. So you will probably need to reinstall hspl. You need hspl to install custom radio and WM roms

radio version : 2.06.51.07 i guess i have a old one..ill download the rom you linked and instal that..hope it will not delete my phone stuff...
downloading from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=669042
when i open that the program says all information on my phone will be lost
....:S argg my head hurts >_> school+sport+this is not working lol
this is where you need to get customruu from. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=575524&highlight=customruu+task+32 the only thing that has changed in it is the command that is run at the end of the flash process. it's otherwise exactly the same as the "normal" version. Therefore you get all the warnings that it's going to wipe your phone.
Also please edit your last post and sort out that image. it's a bit of a mess.
LOL my phone just crashed and had to hard reset
sometimes i hate wm so much lol
me too. WM is crap!

thanks dude..i installed the radio version you said and now i cannot open or instal anything -.-
It was a recommendation not an instruction. I'm not responsible in anyway for any damage a particular piece of software may have done to your device but i am surprised by this. The radio rom should have no impact on your ability to install or run programs so i'm guessing you did something wrong but if the radio is the cuase you can obtain an older version radio and flash that instead.
sorry im a bit annoyed not want to make you responsible i know..just i have been trying to get my hd2 to work for 3days now and it KEEPS just randomly re-installing/crashing :/

[TMOUS][KITCHEN+ROMs][WWE]WM6.5 21892 & 24634 "Just Another T-Mobile HD2 ROMs"

[TMOUS][KITCHEN+ROMs][WWE]WM6.5 21892 & 24634 "Just Another T-Mobile HD2 ROMs"
"Just Another T-Mobile HD2 ROM v1"
Works with T-Mobile USA HD2's but T-Mobile junk removed.
Includes Kitchen
I used osKitchen Zero v1.32Alpha7 and dumped the 2.13 OEM ROM myself so I got exactly what I wanted to start with.
I've created a Bunch of Packages myself, again, to get what I wanted. A few of the packages I've only modified to get them to work the way I want. The Folder Icon's are my work.
I tried to keep it similar to OEM, but changed a few things to make it mine.
I am ill, so I will not always be available to answer questions, but I will do my best. I do this to keep my mind on other things while I deal with my illness, be patient with me if you can. I am doing this in my spare time, so don't expect miracles.
Before Flashing, PLEASE backup your Data, and make sure you have Hard SPL 3 on your Phone.
Use This Tool from 'doloop' to complete a Task 29 on your phone. This will Format the ROM Space and clear any previous ROM code from your phone so you get a Clean Flash and less chance of errors on the new ROM. Simply connect your phone to your PC with the USB. Unzip the attachment and run the Exe file inside. When the Flashing reaches 95%, PRESS and HOLD the Volume Down button until it reboots and enters bootloader mode. Now you are ready to flash this ROM.
I will post the Self Extracting Kitchen, an RUU_Signed_0409.nbh, and an AutoFlash file.
What is AutoFlash you ask? I've taken the RUU file, added the Flashing Program, and Packaged it all up into an Auto Executing Auto Flashing Program, and, it's a smaller download than the RUU alone. Pretty cool huh? Yes, others have already done this, but I'm going to make it a standard practice from now on.
"AutoFlash (tm), Making Flashing Socially Acceptable, One Package at a Time!"
Run the AutoFlash file, or Flash using the Standard Flashing Program included in the Kitchen.

I've flashed it around 30 times now during testing, and so far, it's fine for me.
You should see 'SPL-2.08.HSPL' on the Boot Loader Screen. Also, keep in mind this ROM is for the T-Mobile USA HD2. I am not sure if it runs on the International versions.
If you have that, then you should use the Task29 file in the first post. Remember to hold down the Volume Down button around 95% and keep holding it till the phone reboots into bootloader again. Then flash the ROM.
I have not flashed from the uploaded files yet as I'm still trying to get them all uploaded. MediaFire was having trouble last night, so possibly a file got corrupted? I'll be testing them shortly. Files are now Confirmed Working.

When you are flashing the TASK29 file. When it reaches 95% Completion, hold the Volume Down button until it Reboots into BootLoader Screen. (Red, Green, Blue Screen) When flashing Task29, NOT when flashing the ROM.
After rebooting into BootLoader, it should be ready to flash the ROM.
Has anybody else flashed this yet? Any additonal input so I know if I have a corrupt upload?
EDIT: I'm downloading it now and test flashing it to verify.
EDIT: See post #8 below
No i mean cause i got a big Black Screen and in middle of it says HTC Big Fonts... below it loading crap... 95% and then i press them on that screen till i get 3 color one? hmm think i got it tell me if it works ... doing a raid in World of Warcraft atm
Confirmed Working
I just downloaded the Self Extracting RUU file and flashed it. It worked fine. Keep in mind that the First Boot took 1 1/2 minutes to finish. Be patient...
I just downloaded the AutoFlash file and flashed it. It worked fine.
I just downloaded the Kitchen, and it extracted fine.
All seem to be working fine. Please let me know if you get different results.

When using the Task29 tool, it will go to 95% almost instantly. That is normal. ONLY hold the VOLUME DOWN button at 95% and continue to hold it until the phone reboots into BootLoader. THEN flash the actual ROM.
It sounds like you sucessfully flashed Task29. If you are still on the Stick Together screen, open the back of your phone and hold down the Volume Down Button while pressing the Reset Button. This will put you into BootLoader mode so you can flash the ROM.
When you flash the actual ROM, it will take a few minutes, like other ROMs.
do i have to do that aswell with Autoflesh?

No. Holding down the Volume Down button is only for the Task29 step. Flashing the ROM is like normally done with other ROMs.
If you want to try the AutoFlash version, just download the files. Connect your phone to your PC via USB. Run the AutoFlash file and follow the directions.
