so.
Now that you have seen the LG G4 and the specs...
Are you getting it?
Whats your next upgrade?

Just for those who care.
It seems that many of us G3 users are not impressed by the Specs on the G4 and might hold off on purchasing or upgrading until the G5 release.

I want the Black or Brown leather. In my opinion looks more premium than glass.
Except for the leather back: where is the great improvement, to move from the g3 to g4??
I haven't seen it/found it yet..
If you feel the xtra millisecond difference is worth spending £££€€€$$$ on by all means. I however, am happy with the G3 if it was a major leap between the G3/G4 then maybe but based on the cost/upgrade theres no point imho. Will wait for the G5. Am sure the leather back will make its way to the G3 at some stage either via 3rd party or LG themselves.

It seems there are not too much improvements from G3 to G4, just the camera, yeah the screen is better but I feel fine with the current one, I even would prefer 1080p, I can't see difference between QHD and FHD at this size of screen (I currently change it for FHD resolution for better performance).
I hope we get the LG G4 features on roms for G3.
However, I have phone's contract for 1 year, and mine ends on July, if my carrier offers me the G4 at a good price like they did for G3, then I will upgrade if they doesn't then I will keep my money and maybe buy a newer smartwatch or just save the money for another stuff.
Yes I will get it looks better than S6 plus the camera is crazy

I'm getting this one just for the camera, but not now maybe a 8 months later.
I would like it too but I'm happy with the G3. I don't use the camera too much. An there are some new feature which maybe are not that grate cuz they just came in. I learned that NEW is not always better. Maybe I'll get it, maybe I'll wait fot G5.
Nah, I don't see why I would spend so much money on marginal improvements. I do believe that the G4 is better in almost every way but the G3 is still a great device.
I do hope that LG will port their renewed software to the G3 although they didn't really do it for the G2... Again, I thank the dev community for providing us with great software. Without them I would have hated the G3 experience (I just didn't liked the stock software...)

That's not leather. It's rugged plastic. It's a LG cover (not a battery cover). I have one in black.
I think the only worry I have now with the G4 being announced/released is with updates?. LG has been really good at the moment with releasing updates for our G3's but... Am sure we will now be last with future updates .
Having watched a number of videos of the G4, the only major change is the camera imho. It also appears that the screen is less sharp?. Like I stated in my previous post, the jump from the G3 to G4 isn't big enough to warrant a upgrade.. For me at least anyway.
Lets just see how LG fair with updates for a "old" device?!.
If the processor was 810 I'd think of upgrading in the future but 808 still better but not that big deal for me. There are other good improvements but G3 does the job perfectly fine and I'm sticking with it!
Waiting for a renewed nexus 5, (hoping to see something at Google I/O). The G3 is a good device, but N5's form factor suits me best, in addition to performance and fluidness of stock android.
Well i think its not worth the upgrade. I mean the cam is really impressive+the improvements on screen (brighter +quantum display) but G3 is perfect for now, screen is really good perfomance too plus we have roms ,mods to improve it even more so i dont think i ll bother buying it.Maybe after some months when the price is lower.... maybe..
i believe the leap from UX 3.0 to 4.0 is not that significant
but i am tempted by the camera and the screen - as much as i love my G3, i too still find that the screen could've been britghter for my liking
For me, probably not.
I'm not taken by the new changes to the design, or the slight increase in specs. I cant justify spending a fortune for it when I'm perfectly happy with my G3. Pretty much as everyone above says really, but I'll hold out.
Only if
Why didn't LG get it upgrade to 4gb RAM !
If got 4gb Ram i upgrade it today if already on sales

hated almost everything in it.
Im using PA. Even tho its beta and still missing most of the PA goods, its an awesome rom.
However, if you are one of the guys who dont like using a not-so-stable rom or possibily having compatibily issues...yeah...the G3 could ruin your day...

Yea stock is great I just get bored with it. Flash whore here. Lol. I like my G2 a lot but not sure what my next phone will be. Thought about the Z1. I tried the Z but battery life wasn't that good.

Do not forget that G2 mini is expected to be launched @ MWC next month. It will have 4,7" screen. And I think probably in august on IFA 2014 there will be launched G3 mini, 5" or 5,2", maybe it'll be G2 clone with G3 iron in it (like 16Mpix camera, 64Gb or 128Gb flash etc)
Will you ditch G2 if G3 Mini will got 128Gb flash storage? THAT is the question

I have my doubts about how much of an upgrade the G3 will be.
My thoughts on the following:
QHD - I seriously think this is more of a gimmick than anything useful in real life. Prior to owning a G2, I had an iPhone 4. As you know, the iPhone 4 has a ppi of 326 and this G2 has a ppi of 424. Difference? I can't see it. Both screens are awesome. I wouldn't be able to live with something that didn't have a retina resolution at normal viewing range.
Processor: LG's own ODIN processor sounds great, but if the launch really is this near, I think they will put a Snapdragon 805 into the phone rather than their own. Snapdragon 805 is sick and improved in comparison with the 800, but most changes are made towards the GPU and RAM read speeds. I like playing on my phone but as long as the processor still is based on a 28 nm architecture, expect faster battery drains and more frequent thermal throttling, assuming this isn't fixed either with hardware (such as passive cooling) or software (less aggressive thermal throttling).
Size: It was mentioned here, 5.2 is stretching it a bit, and 5.5 is probably too much.
Build quality: Here is where the G3 can excel. If they make it a premium smartphone with regards to the build quality, then it's a major update. Don't bother with glossy plastic - EVER - again. I assume they learnt that since they now are selling the G2 LE. If the build quality is premium, expect a premium price.
Meh, maybe I'm just jealous.
Ahh...figured this would happen soon. I'm starting to get tired of the over saturation of Android devices...but I guess that's how they stay in the mobile business. Not every company can afford to be like Apple and release a New phone once a year. In the end, its the existing customers that gets screwed. (More focus and support for newer devices and less for existing).

I'm not sure I really understand why people are so apprehensive about LG putting out a new model. They're already working on an official Kit Kat update for the G2 and we got a good group of devs here who can work out any kinks if need be so....what's the worry here?

I doubt LG will build their phone from metal. It will be plastic, or ceramic in plastic. Sometime they'll even make plastic armed with ceramic, probably. LG own their LG Chem so they won't tickle with metal. Their plastic is durable, sturdy, firm, and nice in feel. Also when it's -25°C the metal cools fast but plastic stays warm to one's hands. We live all over the world you know
If back is too glossy one can even wrap it in carbon or silicon coating with different funny prints

This update is fine 100%, but what happens with the next one? Longer and longer waiting times for updates, and then eventually no official images released...
Especially as phone contracts are getting longer, tying you to the phone for 2 years!! (at least this is the case in the UK!)
As i have said no kk update for lg g2

5.5" is a great size for me. It shouldn't be a mainstream size though and I still consider it phablet size, but if it becomes mainstream that means there are more choices and better/newer hardware for people like me who want bigger screens, to the detriment of those who want smaller ones of course.
They need to remove the back buttons and go back to normal ones. Even after seasoned use, I still find it difficult to press and it takes extra time and prone to error. A button on the side is so much easier and no nonsense. You can feel it easily, don't risk dropping the phone like I always do trying to find the back button, and can be easily pressed by either hand with different fingers. The knock knock feature is poorly implemented and doesn't work half the time.
Like others have mentioned, the build quality needs to be drastically improved. It's still a cheap plastic device, and very slippery and hard to hold, moreso than the Galaxy S4 and many other phones. I had to put a case on mine since it had very little surface area to hold and was very slippery even when fully degreased. Why make it thin if you have to put a case on it anyway? The hyperglaze coating on the Samsungs is much grippier.
Anyway, everyone is starting from scratch in 2014 for phone designs and premium materials so LG G2 needs to do the same. iPhone 6 will have totally new design since its about time and Tim Cook needs to prove himself. Galaxy S5 will have guaranteed new design as the Samsung execs have said, because the S4 underperformed because it looked the same as the S3. Moto X is very premium plastic unibody. HTC of course going back to the metal of the One. And a whole slew of Chinese manufacturers with steel frames or metal covers that put the bland LG G2 plastic design and materials to shame. I can't tell which side is up and which side is down most of the time when using my phone at a glance, since it all looks the same to me, unless I look specifically for the LG logo. Then I have to momentarily remember if its suppose to be on top or on bottom. I can orient the phone instantly in my pocket when I feel the power button on the side, which is another reason why LG needs to go back to regular buttons.
And yes, either put a better OIS on your next camera, or stop using it so aggressively, as I may be going back to Samsung if they have the better camera, and the camera is the main deciding factor for me. I am counting on LG to give Samsung some competition, as honestly even though there are a lot of Android phones, there are very few large name brands in the high end area. I can count them on one hand. Samsung, LG, HTC...and that's it. Motorola is clearly in midrange right now. Sony barely shows up in the US. Ditto to all the other companies and Chinese ones, which don't have the track record LG has and has lower standards for phone quality, even if the phones may look nice from the outside.
Already?
Wow... I'm really shocked they're releasing the g3 already... A little early perhaps? Either way, I think I'll be more than happy with my G2 for quite some time.
I've been following this phone for a while, and while I think it'll be the best flagship out this cycle for me, I'm still not too happy with the fact that it's an 801 processor trying to push a 1440p screen.
I'm still split between waiting out about a year for the G4 while using the Moto G or just taking the plunge and getting this phone. Hopefully an 810 processor (or 808 at the worst) should be able to handle the screen without battery/heat/staggering issues.
For people who've used this phone for a while, if you could return your G3 for a full refund and wait for the G4 with a Moto G, would you?

As mentioned by someone else, the screen resolution hardly impacts performance, the 801 chip can handle a 4k screen pretty easily, the problem lies with optimisations, the G2 was the same when it came out, but software updates made it the phone we know for speed today.
, I personally have no heating issues on software 10H, lag does exist but its just a few frame rates, its as fast as any other 801 at opening apps. The moto G is a nice phone, your best bet is holding out until LG fix issues with a software update.
I have both a Verizon prepaid MotoG and just recently a Verizon LG G3. Both are very nice phones. I use the G3 though.
Yup.. on initial my firmware 10b alot of people were quick to judge the capability of the 801 due to the micro-stutters.
Right now I'm on 10j and all seems well. You'll be surprised how well the 801 handles the 1440p display.
And for your question.. personally, no. The G4 will bring in more unknown issues and satisfaction will never be there. If budget is an issue, then wait and save up. If not, I rather just get the latest and greatest right now.
I sense alot of people are eagerly waiting for a 805 device but the fact is it's aint leaps better. The nVidia K1 is a better beast. So I'm sensing if the G4 may not be alot better than the G3 depending on the chip they use. And if they go beyond 5.5", I'm totally out. Smartphone technology seemed to be saturated at this moment.
One can always wait for the next greatest product. We don't know anything about the G4 so how can anyone advise you to wait for it - or not?
When do you think the g4 will come out? That seems like a long wait..
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I think that issues you mention is software maturity problem. Mostly solved in 10j firmware. It play games smoothly so i dont see any problem with 801 on 1440p, maybe in benchmark but i dont play bench.
Im not gonna trade G3 with any other phone at the moment.
If Xiaomi Redmi 1s arrived earlier in my country, I'd bought it first then wait for Nexus 6...
But I'm satisfied with my G3 now.
The phone (G3) is great but if you feel no reason to upgrade, I'd say wait.
There's always going to be something better around the corner.
If anything, wait until you're so intrigued by a phone that you don't have to ask yourself that question and you'll just go along and buy it.
New Tegras on the way, those should be nice.
So the G4 won't have any issues? Once any flagship device drops you can be assured that there will be issues associated with that device.
i wouldnt have the moto g in the first place..i would have gotten the n5 instead
I would, rite the way. I regret buying this phone and i am thinking about selling it and going back to my nexus 4 and wait for the next nexus.

Really? I've got the nexus 4 now and have had it since it came out and I'm looking for an upgrade. I want a bigger screen, better battery and camera.
Why do you regret the purchase?
My nexus 4 is in mint condition, rooted bit stock and never overclocked. This one is only a few months old as I did a warranty replacement. Let me know if you are interested in selling and swapping.
The problem with waiting for new models is that there are always new models coming out. It is a tough call especially when not knowing about certain models and what they will offer.

I have my nexus 4 that's why I'm thinking about switching back but thanks for the offer only thing I would miss is the big screen and the camera but overall the nexus 4 feels snappier than my G3 a lot of times...
My nexus4 developed the same dead area in the center of the touchscreen that most of them do eventually. I still have it, but my Nexus5 and now my G3 are a lot more fun. I also have a MotoG and it fits really nicely in my hand - the G3 is really just a bit too big for complete comfort, particularly with any kind of case on it (necessary).
That little MotoG is really a remarkable device.
Thanks, still love my nexus 4 but really getting itchy for something new.
Is your main reason for not wanting the lg g3 just the lag? I'm hoping that stuff will be fixed with updates..
I may end up waiting for the note 4.. Not sure yet but really looking for a larger screen now.

Well, basically yes, the phone is not fluid, and I also started to have the shutdown/reboot bug. All of these I believe to be a hardware issue, and I think LG should recall and replace all these units. It's not nice having a meltdown on a phone. I also think is behind with software, Sony devices are already on 4.4.4 while we are on 4.4.2 (at least me). Also the UI is fugly and unoptimized imo, after having Sony and Nexus devices, I would say Song's UI is the sexiest, if I can't get that, I'd go aosp. But I do like how sexy the phone looks like, I like the camera but the options are limited - there I think again, Sony leads the way -, and I like the remote control. The screen would be awesome if it wouldn't be the reason of the overheating - with the other hardware elements together of course.

Hello guys! I just want to ask you G2 users if this phone is still a good buy? I'm planning to upgrade my phone by next year.
I'm still using my LG Optimus Black and it has been my companion for more than 4yrs if I'm not mistaken. The G2's price here has dropped significantly so I'm thinking of getting one
Feedback will be greatly appreciated. Thank you guys!
I think it is. It's a great piece of hardware with excellent developement, great display and performance is on par with newer phones. There's no wear and tear on the buttons after a year of using it, they still feel solid. It's also getting the G3 UI in an update soon.
I don't know how long LG supports their devices with updates though, maybe you'll be a better judge of that after having one for so long.
Thank you but what about its performance? i also have a friend who owns one but his lags a lot. i dont know if it's because he's just stupid or it's the device itself?
Software updates don't bother me much since I have had good experience with LG's support on the OB. It was launched with 2.2 froyo, got 2.3 gingerbread and they ended support on 4.0.4 which is kinda respectable since it got through 2 major updates and we got a stable kitkat rom and LG's build quality is also commendable.
JB laggs a lot tbh. KK is good but you will see imrovements if you root it and flash a custom rom. Honestly, both battery and performance-wise.
If you get a good price on it, then go for it. Root it right away lol you can always return to stock as it if it was rooted
Good thing you would enter the G2 world just like I did: with stable G3 ROMs ready to go
Sent from my LG-D802
If you aren't one of those who demand the latest and greatest, the G2 is pretty much one of the best picks for money right now. The screen and CPU is on par with most newer phones (Nexus 6, G3 and Note 4 aside) and it can be acquired for a very little price. It has been confirmed to get Lollipop and that's most likely the last update this phone will get
But it's super fast, has a good battery and it just WORKS. I still say that if I had to replace my phone, I would still get myself a G2 because there's no other phone out there that is that much better.
This device currently, with maybe Nexus 5, has best price/quality ratio. For not too much money, you will get hardware that is still quite powerful (S800, 2GB of RAM, 3000 Mah battery etc.).
Also, considering that you had LG Optimus Black, the LG G2 will be great leap forward in terms of quality and performance.
Hope this helped a bit OP. :highfive:
Thank you for all your input guys! This will surely help with my decision. But what do you think about the Nexus 5? It's just 5-10 dollars more expensive than the G2 here, which one will you go with?
The Nexus 5 has a brighter screen if that's something that really matters.
Other than that and ROM support, I'd definitely choose the bigger display, better camera and battery, and the other benefits of the G2.
I'd choose the G2 over most, perhaps all phones out atm. Maybe not the Xperia Z3, just because of really similar specs but withthe addition of waterproofing.
Samsung phones have the horrible AMOLED displays, HTC is too big for its screen, and the G3 has worse battery life and barely any performance difference. Not miles better camera and I prefer the G2 display.
The G2 is the best phone to buy
I have a G2 and OPO. OPO is a better choice.... same price almost.
I have had my G2 for just over a year. I would agree with others it is still a top notch phone for the money. But beware i have had to replace the usb/ headphone board. And now my screen has the dead spot towards the top, so it will need replaced soon also. I dont know if i just got a bad phone or if the quality is just sub par.

i really dont think its worth it unless you want bigger phone....
i think the maximus size i can handle is 5.5 beside that..
here are my thoughts on it:
Pros:
1.Wider angle and perhaps better selfie camera(+1)
2.1GB more ( which i dont belive is really needed because the g4 is already working smooth)(+0.5)
3.finger print sensor(it might have more use on Android 6 but i dont use a password or pattern or anything on my phone so i dont really need it...)(+0.5)
Cons:
1.Same battery size + bigger screen + same resolution + secondry 2 inch display + same chipset = lower battery life (-1)
2. i am finding it really hard to handle with a screen of ~ 5.9 its just too big to be compared with the G4 (-1)
3.this phone is heavy! (192g) ( not going to score it, might not bother other people)
so in the end we got 1+0.5+0.5-1-1 = 0 which means that i am not going to upgrade
there is the material but i will put a case on the phone anyway so... i dont care about it.
and the gorilla glass 3 vs gorilla glass 4 and here again i put a good screen protector so ....
if you are going to use the phone naked than v10 is the winner if not the g4 is because ( you and i already got it)

and the gorilla glass 3 vs gorilla glass 4 and here again i put a good screen protector so ....
if you are going to use the phone naked than v10 is the winner if not the g4 is because ( you and i already got it)

I do agree with a lot of what you said. I don't care for a finger print scanner, which I'm actually against. I do like the video recording features the 64gb of storage and the materials. I do like that it has better manual noise cancellation with the three mics. The second screen is okay we'll see if it's actually useful or a gimmick. I do like the slightly bigger display, and the weight I kind of like because it gives me a better firm grip in my opinion. My hands are a little strong for the G4. I'll have to go to Tmo and play with it and see when its available in the US.
It sure looks nice, but since it's basically just a "more premium"-version of the same phone/hardware - and the stuff that makes it "more premium" are things i dont care about at all. ie. selfie stuff, fingerprint...
G4 is my first android phone and my first LG, V10 isn't going to change that. LG G5 or G6 perhaps =)
Biggest plus still - G4 is sooo much cheaper. Getting a real flagship for much much less money than any of the competitors, that's what i call 'premium'!

I can hardly recommend this phone to anyone who already has the G4... It' a minor upgrade in some areas
and even a downgrade in others IMO. I guess that's a matter of opinion... The only two things i am hyped about
are manual video controls and sound control (nevermind the 3 mics on V10, 2 mics can get the job done).
I believe that the G4 will get these features in near future (probbably with android MM which is set to
arrive early next year) because V10 uses the same camera sensor as G4.

By the time the G4 gets M the 5 will be coming out. I've been reading about it all morninmg and I think I like it. It's definitely sexy AF from appearance. I am seeing some of the flaws it has like with the second screen. Idk I had the G2, G3, and now the 4. I never got bored with the G2 and 3, but am already losing my appeal with the G4. Don't get me wrong it's better than anything else imo right now, but I am starting to want something different than what everyone else has.

The getting out of the car way is how I've broke any phone I've broke. If it lasts past that I'm good..
premium build material + removable battery = yes please!

That is what it all turns on.
No idea on price of the v10 but they are quoting ip6s+ prices. 64gb and 1 extra for ram isn't going to be cheap.

yep and add to that 1gb more ram to light up.
2. i am finding it really hard to handle with a screen of ~ 5.9 its just too big to be compared with the G4 (-1)
3.this phone is heavy! (192g) ( not going to score it, might not bother other people)

the size is what bothers me. 5.5 is already pushing things with a case.

Just what I thought too!
The LG V10 looks like an awesome phone but I'll stick with my awesome G4 for a while though.
Lol. I was thinking about this newer phone. It looks really nice! But there really isn't any "improvement" over the G4 except for the memory. Otherwise, it's the same screen resolution, technology, camera, UI. I mean, I love my G4! It's probably one of the best phones I've owned! But for me to sell this one, and buy the V10, I would need at LEAST a better camera, or ... HUGE battery... Or... I don't know. A stylus? I want the larger screen. But selling this one, losing some money, and dishing out a premium price for the SAME device except a tiny bit larger is out of the question for me. If they had only put in 4,000 mah I would have found it enough to get! haha.
Edit: Oh I know there are LOTS of improvements like the fingerprint scanner, and secondary screen and 2 selfie cameras.... But these for me a little things that don't make ANY difference to me. Camera, battery, screen size, these are huge deals for me. That's why I say that there wasn't really any REAL improvements FOR ME. But it is a great phone with a lot of good specs and cool ideas! But just not enough for me to sell my G4 and buy the V10. Especially without knowing the European price tag yet! haha.
i want the V10 camera app just for the sake of that video features but i guess we will see a version for the g4 as soon as the v10 is available and someone from xda gets it
I hope manual video ported for G4
I hope we can deactivate the OIS, we can do with ProShot app. But the OIS of the V10 looks way better !
There is an LG V10 forum now if you wish to continue this discussion there
At the very least we have an idea what the G5 coming out next year will look like. It will be more premium looking and feature a replaceable battery. Weight wise, proper case + g4 is 185-190gms anyway.
So they can make premium looking and replaceable battery after all. Who knew

Who knows. Samsung came out with the premium Note 4 with SD card and replaceable battery. Then they came out with the S6.... Lol of course I hope LG doesn't go that way.

True but samsung has always had a bad case of apple envy.
Can you say the same about LG ?
where i live people don't even know that LG makes phones, they think LG makes fridges, tv's or washing machines
With the release of the LG V20 just around the corner and it's showing earlier this week, is anyone jumping from the G5 to the V20? I really like the new design and having Android Nougat out of the box. Looks like I'm definitely switching once it releases. What are your thoughts?
I don't really feel the need to. Using android devices since eclair - and the G5 really hits the "sweet spot" as far as hardware/performance is concerned. I don't even mind that root hasn't been achieved for the variant I own. There really isn't anything with v20 that to me, warrants upgrading to it. And we will be getting nougat/7 soon enough. I'll probably be perfectly happy riding out the next two years with the G5.

For the rich guys, they'll probably do. I'm just a college student and got rewarded with this phone because of the honors I got. I'm very happy and satisfied with my G5 and will probably use it for the next 1 1/2 years. The V20 is indeed great, the design is a whole lot better but it doesn't make me regret my G5. The G5 is very good, but LG failed to make more modules. Apart from that, the phone without any modules already works great. I just hope LG will bring Nougat fast.
I don't even find reason to update to v20, G5 is fast smooth with great camera, removable battery, micro SD and will get nougat faster than any other oem.
Tell you the truth I don't find any reason to update to any phone.
I don't really see a reason to upgrade unless it's a bigger screen you want. That alone doesn't really warrant an upgrade (for me anyways). the guy above me said what I have as well, the G5 has hit a sweet spot for me. Although root hasn't been achieved yet for my variant, I still am in love with this phone.
V20 is a G5 with 5,7" and a better audio chip.
Just if you need/want big screen. Otherwise they're pretty much the same phone.
V20 is too wide for me to use single handed and disappointed the battery isnt going to be 4000ma
After having lg g3, g2, and nexus5, I truly miss having root....
I think I will be moving on to one of those refurbished note 7s or just take a oneplus 3 since they both have root and great dev community.
Op3 camera is slightly worse and not sdcard but daytime pix and very close to g5 and with 64gb built in that should be ample to all my needs.
Already posted my g5 on CL.
Very good phone but doesn't fit my needs.
I might, have to see some reviews first and actually hold one. I am with T-Mobile, my phone was a note 5 that had some charging issues. I called to exchange for another and the rep suggested using my score upgrade, getting the g5 and keeping my note, which I did but even with its limited charging ability(only charges wirelessly) I still find myself using the note every couple days. The g5 is just a tad too small for my liking. I think I'll go Nexus or v20, depending on real world impressions. The g5 is nice, nice enough that it will make a great upgrade for my wife coming from the g3.
What is everyone's views about the secondary screen, audio recording enhancements, and the camera/video? Just a gimmick or worth it?

I have, I'm just asking if that would be a factor in people deciding to switch or not.. This is just a open end discussion. I'm currently using the G5 and of course one size doesn't fit all but it's just to share people's opinions so other can make a decision to switch if they feel like they want to upgrade or not
The V20 is basically an oversized G5 with better audio quality.
Same performance,display,camera.....
I haven't really looked into the v20 tbh. I [email protected] g5 The two lg phones I've had were great, and I love them. (G3, G5) Both of mine ran/run hot though. Either I have really bad luck or lg needs to look at their thermal controls. I might move to another device after I pay off my g5, but I'll always hang onto it.

Exactly... and is the Audio quailty worth another £500 on top of what your paying for your G5.... I think not.... However, Im in the UK, so we wont even get to see it.. Unless its imported, but will it support the UKs GSM and UTMS bands
I don't. It's too big for me. And for the music I use iBasso DX80.
The reason of why I chose the G5 over all the available smartphones is because of it's "little" 5.3" screen (+hardware + removable battery + IR Blaster + Dual camera). No thank you I'm not interested in a big 5.9" screen .
External speaker,what about it??

Anyone know how this is gonna sound/compare to the LG G5 with DAC module ?
LG G5 is a hot smartphone. its a modern marvel
lg g5 is packed with latest hardware and features. One does not need to move on to upcoming ones without need. see our review on g5. Mathew, choozurmobiledotcom
