Setting "off_mode_charge 0" without fastboot - Samsung Galaxy S4 VE Questions & Answers

Hi, i found out now that the Galaxy s4 does not have fastboot mode (mine has odin download mode), but im trying to set the "off_mode_charge 0" in fastboot to make the phone power on when plugged in, instead of charging only.
is there any other way to make it power on on plug without fastboot? my device is rooted, lineageos A11.
Thanks!

[Q] I can't get into bootloader/fastboot mode

I can't get into the bootloader/fastboot mode, is there something wrong?
Note I am now on stock 4.4 (including stock recovery/kernel etc.) but previously i had custom recovery and same error.
- tried rebooting into bootloader from recovery when I had philz and/or TWRP - would just boot into the OS
- tried power + button up (i.e. reverse of booting into recovery) - same, boots into OS
- tried quick boot root app - same, boots into OS
WTF
Not hugely concerned since I could get into recovery lol but why is it I can't get into bootloader/fastboot mode? What if the OS is broken and I need to ADB something?
Note I rooted/TWRP/PHilzed and went custom for awhile, then I made my own zip using below thread and a full kdz and flashed back to stock including recovery/kernel/baseband (I wanted to go back to 100% stock).

Isn't the bootloader locked on the G2? Coming from a Nexus phone, I was also looking for the option but read it wasn't currently possible to unlock it.
I know we're BL locked, I meant fastboot or download mode or whatever the mode is where you can use adb commands and/or fastboot flash recovery recovery.img if I never need to manually fix recovery for example.

You can use ADB by enabling USB debugging in developer options.
Download mode can be enabled by turning the phone off, pushing power+Volume Up and then plugging in your phone to your PC with a USB cable - I've used this twice already to recover from experimenting with recoveries and ROMs (by going back to stock following instructions here: http://www.droidviews.com/how-to-restore-lg-g2-to-stock-firmware/)

also i've found the phone won't boot in to recovery if it's on mains charge (via button combo not adb/in rom apps or APM)

Thanks, the plugging in USB cable is probably the bit I'm missing!
I know I can use ADB with USB debugging, I'm asking the question if I need to recover from softbrick and can't get into OS

Fastboot/download mode?

Does this phone have? Is there a way to boot into such mode so I can flash something via fastboot?
Power and volume down keys just lead to some test mode. Holding the volume down while connecting USB does nothing as well.
I'm just having the same prob with --U51
Thanks
Not meaning to necrorez a thread as the entire forum section is inactive...
On Y625-U21 the best way to enter fastboot mode is via adb:
- activate usb debug
- use "adb reboot bootloader"
you are now in fastboot mode. Notice that on the phone you won't see a special screen: just the huawei logo like it's stuck, but you can use fastboot to do what you want (unlock the bootloader since it won't require codes, run TWRP, flash TWRP etc etc...)

[Q] Bricked my phone while usb debugging isn't turned on

i decided to flash stock nougat from stock oreo (currently usb debugging is on). While flashing nougat in fastboot my phone showed erase screen and rebooted back to stock 8.1(this happens after may update when the bootloader is unlocked and this time i'm sure that usb debugging option has been reseted and turned off by itself because of boot loader unlock). And then i forgot to turn usb debugging on and booted into fastboot mode and flashed stock nougat and bricked my phone. Please help, is there anyway to turn usb debugging on a bricked device?
Edit: i can access fastboot mode and bootloader is unlocked.
Thank You

Put your phone in fastboot mode (power and vol-) and flash stock Rom with Miflash (clean all).

Change USB port, change cable or try in another PC.

Cannot go into the bootloader mode on my Galaxy tab SM-T285

Currently, I am trying to unlock bootloader using adb.
I installed adb and fastboot and checked everything until the CMD shows my device correctly.
And right after I type
"adb reboot bootloader"
my tablet just restart and does not go into the bootloader mode.
I also tried it manually, by pressing home+up+power button, but it also perform restart and no bootloader mode.
Does anyone knows why?
I checked all the settings in developer mode and cannot figure out why.

You can't unlock the bootloader with adb only with fastboot which doesn't work on Samsung. To unlock the bootloader on Samsung you have to enable OEM unlocking in developer options. Also Samsung doesn't have bootloader mode but instead they have Download mode which you can use tools like Odin or SmartSwitch to flash files. To get into Download mode use the command adb reboot download or use the button combination power + volumn down + home.

LG H990DS V20, Bootloop, Bootloader Locked, Only Fastboot works

Hi. I have an LG v20 H990ds. I used a non-genuine usb-c cable which messed up its usb-c port. Ever since then, phone started bootlooping. Despite replacing the usb-c cable, phone is on bootloop. I think the firmware flashing can resolve the issue.
But the phone doesnt stay in download mode for more than 3-4 seconds as it keeps bootlooping. When it is in download mode, my computer doesn't detect it or get a trigger that the phone is connected in device manager.
But when I enter into fastboot, I can install fastboot drivers just fine and able to use fastboot commands. I would have flashed boot.img and system.img using fastboot but it shows the device is 'locked'. Since I cant use 'fastboot oem unlock' as the developer options of the phone software was not enabled, I have come here for seeking help.
Can I bypass the developer options and unlock in fastboot? Can I use EDL mode? Or Qualcomm tools? What are my options? I am really not sure why its bootlooping despite getting usb c port fixed. I will really appreciate if someone can help please. The only way the device can work is if it bypasses the 'lock' checks in fastboot. So a patch or something that can bypass the fastboot can help. Or if I can unlock bootloader n fastboot without using android OS.
