Question System Update! - Nothing Phone 1

Hey Guys!
So I just got my NP1 8/256.
After checking the threads I was a bit confused.
Is it good to do a system update to A13 or should I be on A12 and unlock bootloaders and root with custom ROM?
Comments appreciated.
Thanks.

You're good to update and unlock bootloader afterwards

Search the unlock thread, or ask there, don't start a new thread.

Have you tired rooting? Do you have twrp? Does stock recovery flash over?
Just asking before I go non root to get the OTA link and update myself.
Sorry I do root.

Bro, you can Unlock unofficially bootloader & flash TWRP with this : https://forum.xda-developers.com/as...w-to/discussion-unlocking-bootloader-t3786698
And you can update stock ROM while keeping Magisk & TWRP with this : https://forum.xda-developers.com/as...to/rom-update-stock-firmware-keeping-t3808269
Both threads are tested and working on most of the device include mine.
Gud luck.

Nope, They adviced me to just keep updating the xiaomi.eu custom rom as normal, it seems the firmware updating part is already a part of their build.

That means all the xiaomi.eu roms includes the updated firmware? No need to flash firmware separately right?
