I can't get into recovery mod - Android Head-Units

Hello, I have an Android device of which I do not know the brand and model (I will attach photos). The problem is as follows, after I installed the Waze application, the device wrote that there is no free disk space and restarted, from here to there it loads only until the inscription android. I've read all the reset articles and all sorts of combinations, but I'm having no success getting into recovery mod. Please someone help me. Thank you in advance!

At least someone tell me what the model is or where I can see it?

Hello, I solved my problem and if it can help someone, I will write how. If the moderators deem it unnecessary to delete the topic.
So the model is 8221l and entering recovery mode is done as follows:
1. you press the reset button
2. you immediately start pressing on the touch screen with 5 fingers, it should say "recovery mode"
3. if you did it right the display says "erasing" then it will say ANDROID again
4. wait for 2 minutes and power off the device
5. restore power and the device will boot back to 100%
6. if you want to update the firmware, do everything but with the difference that in point 2 you have to press with 4 fingers!!!

[Q] Asus Transformer, not looking good for me..

Hi all, I think i am in a bad place right now. I followed the steps to root my device from here " http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1035197 " After getting to the stage where i do the Reboot of the device (Step 12) it reboots to the EEE Pad Asus Screen and it never left that screen.. I have tried the E101 files to get it to boot again..
If i power off the device it will just automatically turn back on.
If i power off and then press VOL_DN and Power i get to the press VOL_UP within 5 seconds to enter RCK. It then shows Booting recover kernel image and goes no further. i have downloaded sever firmware files, etc and renamed them as was told in other threads to EP101_SDUPDATE.ZIP and it still just hangs at that screen.
If i power off and then do the VOL_DN and Power and then ignore the VOL_UP part i go to the next screen that has the Pulsing WIPE Data Icon with Press VOL_UP to execute or VOL_DN to Cancel.
If i do the wipe data i get the following response wiping user data please wait a few mins. and then after a short pause of that a response in red returns the following information:
MAGIC Value Mismatch: shows garbled characters after the colon
Critical Failure: Unable to start Kernel
Unrecoverable bootloader error (0x00000002)
If i don't do the wipe data and get the skipping wipe and cold booting linux the exact same error above appears..
I have been search now for about 6 or 7 hours on the net and am at wits end to get this working. If only NVFlash worked.. I am thinking this might be my only fix...
Any help would be extremely appreciated. Sad thing is i told myself to leave well enough alone and not to frig with this. LOL. Damed teckies we can't leave things the way they are and just use them we have to mess around with them. Be no fun if we didn't..
Thanks for any input anyone may have..
Craig
I would go on the irc and see if anyone can help u there. Freenode #asus-transformer
Sent from my Samsung Epic
Thanks they helped me out, they found where i was going wrong in the walkthrough and got me booting up..

[Q] Son's phone doesnt work......

My son's Galaxy S4 has recently quit working and the following is what shows up on his screen along with a little robot icon with an open door that say's "No Command" under it.
Android system recovery<3e>
KTU84P.I337UCUFNJ4
Volume up/down to move highlight;
power button to select.
reboot system now
apply update from ADB
apply update from external storage
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
apply update from cache
My son say's he has tried each of these items and has had no luck. At the bottom of the screen is the following message,
# Manual Mode #
--Appling Multi-CSC...
Applied the CSC-code : ATT
Successfully applied multi-CSC
Neither of us are tech types and are stumped by this. Please give some detailed directions to help a Grandpa help his son.
Use the volume up and down keys and scroll down to data factory reset and use the power button to select it then after it completes scroll down to wipe cache partition and use power key to select it after its done scroll up to reboot phone and use power key to select phone should restart and power on good luck
Well I followed the steps provided and it is just the same as when I started.
I tried it 3 times without luck.
Anyone know what else I might try?
If you can get the phone into download mode, hold volume down, home and power at the same time. You can use odin to flash the NB1 tar file in the AP slot on the new version of odin, PDA in older ones. You'll need the drivers for the phone which can be found on samsungs website. Info on how to do all that can be found here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-att/general/guide-odin-to-stock-updating-rooting-t2926642 Hope you can get it working again.
Thank you for the help, I am attempting to follow your instructions now. Just have a question that may sound really dumb.
Do I need to have a simcard in the phone to do this?
This type of Tech is not my area so I really dont know.
I never tried it without a sim card but it should still work. After odin installs the new firmware, it will reboot the phone and you'll set it up just like it was new. Just make sure to follow the instructions in the thread I linked to.
No Joy......
After trying multiple times in the last few hours I still have the same screen. I downloaded the latest drivers to my pc, downloaded and installed Odin on my pc. Changed usb cables and ports and still the same screen.
It wont boot up, I cant get it to download mode, I cant get it to do anything. I think this thing is a "brick" now.
Thanks for the help folks, I appreciate it.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all.
That sucks you couldn't get it to work. You can take it to a samsung service center if you have a best buy near you That has one. Maybe they can get it to work. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you to.

"Setup assistent has been closed" loop after flashing gApps

Hey guys,
I flashed this ROM on my LG G2 (802) http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/development/rom-official-mokee-source-project-t3274849/page2. Everything has been okay so far.
In the Mokee thread I read installing gApps would work like this:
"you can go MokeeCenter after starting rom, there you can download the small gapps integrated into the system and have a lighter and clean rom."
Unfortunally for me there was no option to download gApps via "MokeeCenter". Of course I found Settings -> MokeeCenter.
So I decided to download open_gapps-arm-6.0 (has been the minimal version, I think) and flashed it.
After I rebooted into system, I now am stuck at a popup which immediately and continiously pops up, saying "setup assistent has been closed". So I cannot do anything else than pressing "ok ok ok ok ok ok"
Big problem for me now is, that for some unknown reason, I cannot boot into twrp recovery using one of the hardkey methods.
I usually was able to do it like this:
- Shut down.
- Press power + volume down until LG logo appears.
- Release only power button, then immediately press power button again (while still pressing volume down).
I think I now tried any of the other methods as well (power + volume up instead of down... or release power AND volume down, then press both again... and so on...)
None of them work for me.
I might have to mention, that after the first appear of the popup loop, I read something about flashing "bootstack-d802-CAF-signed" as part of a solution.
I did so, but it diddn't help. Instead of a solution this might be part of my problem, because since I was able to flash it I obvously must have been able to enter twrp before this step.
What should I do now?
By the way: Can some of you tell me, if the annoying crackle/hissing of my headphones is gone with Android M?
I want to know this, because this has been the ONLY reason for me to flash Android M, since I wasn't able to find a solution for Android Lollipop (CM12). I find it extremely (!) uncomfortable to talk to people using my bose qc25 headphones/headset since my Lollipop update, because everytime when a person speaks just a few words with longer pauses between the single words, I have sound errors and hissing/crackles and even some really wired kind of "distortion" at the beginning of each single word and often have to ask people to repeat what they said.
The headphones themselves sound absolutely okay, it's just with the LG G2 phone. (i.e. a friend's Samsung S5 works fine with the bose qc25)
If this bug isn't gone with Android M (or at least fixable) I think I will buy a new cellphone instead of trying to unbrick my LG G2 if unbricking will be a pain in the ass, so I am very interested in an answer regarding the sound bug as well.
Thank you for reading.
with best regards,
Milan
I now have been able to setup a guest account. Running the guest account, I can quit the popup by pressing "ok" once. It doesn't return and is followed by "Gallery stopped" which I am able to quit too. But as guest I cannot get root access to use a software based reboot to recovery, right?
follow these steps
1. go to settings and find applications menu
2. select find system applications from menu
3. find installiation wizard or something else (i am using my rom in Turkish "Kurulum Sihirbazı".
4. click on it and edit permissions
5. enable people and phone sections.
6. cheers

Problem was, I could not navigate because there has been this fu*** popup always on top.
I have been able to enable root access and advanced shutdown options by clicking almost 1000 times "ok" at the annoying popup while I used another finger to tap something at the screen as soon as possible. Scrolling was like stuck motion this way... So I have been able to enter twrp and flash another rom.
Nonetheless I tested calling a person with the guest account (by allowing phone calls for guests via the same "tapping-technique"... took me aboout 10 minutes) and found out, there are exactly the same hissing /crackling problems with Android M than with Android L. So I will try Android Kitkat now. This bug is very common. Is there someone who can tell me a working solution? I am pretty sure my phone did not have this bug when I bought it with Kitkat OS installed. So a kitkat rom is my last hope right now.

Milan

Joying JY-VL130N2

Hello all ,
I am facing a problem with my Joying Head unit JY-VL130N2.
I tried to update the system from website with the latest file ( carjoying.com/blog/joying-head-unit-after-sale-support/59.html ) , but unfortunately the installation was not successful , message coming that "System has not enough space ". Please see below photos .

drive.google.com/open?id=1_2-OQStRCGlCYpGxZbUGE1fsyYApX22i
drive.google.com/open?id=1xqItQ2XKMHNuUAPnA_7FaqGlyiyNCRSh
I tried to reset the headunit through the small button on the right bottom side , unplugged and re-plugged the USB stick , same message after. Tried as well with three different USB sticks (FAT32),same thing . I wrote a few emails to Joying support team , but no success until now as they keep telling me to do factory reset and then update again , which I cannot do it as the system does not load at all.
Can anyone please help me to solve this ?
Many thanks
Do you have lots of 3rd party apps in stalled? Do full factory reset and internal storage clean, then repeat flashing FW.
See edit's FAQ thread for details:

Hi ,
Can you please tell me how to do a factory reset and internal storage clean as the head unit is not loading into Android system ? Many thanks
Oh, that...
1. First I would leave HU ON, maybe pressed reset and left (no sticks in USB). There mighg be a chance of magic self recover happening after several unsuccessive boot.
2. While performing step 1, I would search this forum for some key combination/long reset press or something of this kind followed by purple text output - only today have seen this instructions here or on carjoying forum, but can not find it again.
3. Continue to press Joying team for a solution.

1) like ste2002 says: be patient. It can take 20 minutes, but that is in case your system is correct but had 3 unsuccessful boots. But in this case when the unit already mentions that the update was unsuccesful, it will probably not work, but it is always worth a try as it is the "laziest and easiest" method.
2) The reset option is with a "pointy" thing in the reset hole until the boot logos appear. Then reset again. After 3 uncompleted boots this early in the process, the system will go into the recovery boot, which are the purple leds. Use this purple led boot to connect at that moment your usb stick with the firmware.
Have you tried to re-download the update rar file again? Maybe it got somehow corrupt.
How big is the file Allapp.pkg? It should be 302,066 KB (~295 MB)
In case this does not help...
You could experiment with contents of file SQLSOFIA.
Since Feb 2017 it contains
Code:
mass
twipe_all
#make_updates
Before that it contained only
Code:
mass
No idea if this could help to make sure that the system partition is reformatted before the content is written there.

S8 Freezes and Reboots after every boot.

Had the S8 for about 3 to 4 months, rooted it four days after getting it; no issues whatsoever, it worked perfectly. Yesterday, after a day of not using the phone, I attempt to use it and find that everytime I try to boot it, it freezes after 10 seconds and reboots.
I have tried flashing stock rom of android oreo for the device and am currently trying to see if nougat will fix my issue.
Edit: After attempting to go into android recovery, I am told the device "fails to open recovery_cause", with an unknown error.
I'd really appreciate some help with this, as I've done almost everything I can think of to fix it.
Edit 2 (5/9/19): I've successfully flashed a version of android pie, which successfully boots into the initial setup screen. Same issue however, after around 10 seconds, no matter what I do, the s8 freezes and reboots.
Given up with the phone, tech support already recommended to go on here to post a question. A new phone has been ordered, and the S8 will be sold in non-working condition. If anyone has any idea about how to solve this still, please say something; if not, have a great day .
Thank you.
Hello,
I have the same problem.
I contacted Samsung with Samsung Members.
They said that i had an app who make the phone crashing during the boot !
They said the proof is your phone don't crash when you make an secure boot :
Turn the device off.
Press and hold the Power key past the model name screen.
When “SAMSUNG” appears on the screen, release the Power key.
Immediately after releasing the Power key, press and hold the Volume down key.
Continue to hold the Volume down key until the device finishes restarting.
Safe mode will display in the bottom left corner of the screen.
Release the Volume down key when you see Safe Mode.
Uninstall apps that are causing a problem.
Click to collapse
With this secure boot, no problem during boot
The only problem, is that i have only "official" apps donwloaded with Play Store, and i never find the app that cause the reboot :s
