Looking for an old 4.4.2 Rom - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I would like to downgrade my s4 with the lastest bootloader, to avoid a brick with odin, I would like to flash a custom rom of the time but all the links are dead.... If anyone has one lying around I'm interested!
Thanks

Could you write some specific information? What do you have on your phone (custom/original) and what would you like to have (custom/original) and give the exact model of the phone.

I don't think a ROM with android 4.4.2 can use the camera or RIL when you already have components from LP on the phone.

it's not a problem, it's for my personal use of pen testing. Do you think it can be found?

The phone is not very popular, so there is little chance that any user will come forward with a ROM from this listing.
Just in case, download the firmware from here:
https://samfrew.com/model/GT-I9506/
Or try LP Galaxy Note 3 port AryaMod

there's no custom rom support for your device at the moment but for galaxy trend GT-S7560 the answer is yes. But im not sure if it can be install on your device or not. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2564516&page=3 (maybe this can help you)

Is this a good rom for any Trend lite or it is only for a Romanian or Polish version of the phone? This is the rom I am talking about: http://www.droidgator.com/update-galaxy-trend-lite-s7390-android-412-xxuamj3-firmware/

Of course. You can update your rom to jelly bean. As it tell on the site its a stock rom not a custom rom. In my opinion update to jb is will give better perfomance to your device because its lighter and smooth compare to ics. For now theres no custom rom for this device. But you can increase the perfomance by rooting. See this thread.http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2529115&page=2

I see, so this is just a way to update the stock rom without my carrier giving it to me. For sure I will root it later.
But then, these instructions on how to update offer 2 stock roms, the Romanian and the Polish one. Which one do I have to use if my phone is from Movistar Argentina?

Check your setting, about phone, baseband. Check the baseband number and you can download firmware from sammobile. Type your phone model gt-s7390. http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/

You must download the correct firmware. Gt-s7390 and gt-s7390L is diffrent. If you flash gt-s7390 on your phone you may brick your phone. If the romanian or polish stock is for gt-s7390L then you can flash it with odin. If not im suggesting not to try it. The best way to do now by rooting your device and delete some unusefull stock apps. It can help to increase your phone speed.

Yes. No custom rom for this model.
So.
1. what is is the best root apk for (best way to root) a samsung gt-s7390 running Jb412?
2. what's the upside of rooting this at all? i hear about rooting that it's so good for you, but no one explained CLEARLY. just scared to brick my phone is all.
How did you get root access?
I've been searching for a root tool for the Trend Lite GT-S7390, but can't find one that works.

I'm in the same boat mate. Got my Note 3 a few weeks ago and was surprised to find a different mdoel N9007. Don't care about the knox status and really want to get rid of all the carrier bloatware. I can see the HK version of stock Samsung rom but not sure if it is suitable for our devices.

if it's the same model then it should work. You should check against your PDA version when you type *#1234#, if it is N9007ZH download the HK version, if it is N9007DI download the Australian version.

Firmware is available on Sammobile but yes they are all carrier bloated.
For those of you still wondering, as long as you are on the 4.4.2 bootloader/modem, you can flash any aosp Rom and have no issues with mobile data or lte. The model number on your phone will change in the "about phone" section, bu if you can live with that, then no issues at all. I've just tried the Lollipop alpha build, and that worked fine, along with a bunch of other 4.4.4 AOSP roms and all ran smoothly.

Bro as i said you don't need that and it doesn't matter what is your firmware build number or what is your baseband number. All you need is a specific file for your mobile like CF root for s3 or S3 neo or s4 etc ok and if any thing matters is that your mobile variant number and yours GT-I9301I.

Is there a working ROM for N900l? i searched and saw Darklord S6 is compatible.

and what is KNOX? 0x0? 1x0?
My previous Smartphone(LG-D838) has a poor a android development.

For recovery, you can use the hlteskt/n900s version, which is compatible.
Unfortunately, there are no custom ROMs for your variant,
yeah, most likely i have this really BEST luck with me for smartphones that i really do need to suffer.
Darklord S6 ROM was compatible to my phone, but the CM12 has no reply if compatible with my model.
is there a way for me to use CM 12 since my previous phone also has no update for CM12

If you use CM, or any AOSP-based ROM, you won't be able to do voice calls or text messages. That's because of how the LGU+ network is set up in Korea, and your variant is built specifically for that network.

what is bootloader anyway?
i installed CF autoroot and installed CWM n900s version using flashify.
i cant go on recovery at first using vol up +home+power then i use flashify reboot on recovery then it went bootloop.
after that i installed again the cwm n900s version kk via odin3 and it went ok but the system.ui crashed when i turn on my device.
i go to cwm recovery and wipe cache hoping to fix the problem then the system.process(i think) not responding and displaying black only.
i really want to fix the phone without wiping or factory resetting but panic comes first to me.
now it is ok.
Thanks, just sharing my really scary exp. its my first bootloop.

No developments for the T237P.
I have the T230NU but returning it since the T237P has OTG support (and there is an OTA 5.1.1). The 7" Galaxy Tab 4 fits perfect in my vehicle without any mods to my dash. I will share the pictures.

Not disagreeing with you but there's even less development for the SM-T337A, not that you would be able to use its firmware on the SM-T237P. There is a deodexed, rooted, knox-free stock 5.1.1 rom available for the SM-T237P: http://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-4/development/sm-t237p-stock-rooted-deodexed-4-4-2-t3095711
At least theoretically if you have deodexed you can install xposed and use any number of xposed mods

Thanks, but that is not an actual deodexed firmware, it's missing the entire system folder so no system apps, priv-apps, framework. Also, what do you think of this, does it mean that the we can flash a T335 ROM on the T237P? http://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-4/general/root-sm-t237p-t2849224/page2
I want to first receive the T237P, see what firmware is on it, if 4.4.2 and a 5.1.1 is available OTA then I can try to copy the firmware from the logcat and see if I can do anything to it like a full deodex.
Thanks again.

No. I guarantee you cannot flash a t335 rom on a t237p. No 8.0 inch rom will work on a 7.0 inch model. Cfautoroot just messes around in the recovery partition, that's much different than an entire rom

Sorry to bring up an old thread but i have a similar question and didn't want to start new thread. I am using my tablet for wifi only, would it be possible to use a rom from wifi only models? I have T237P also. I have flashed Philz, root, and xposed is working but i would like to upgrade to nougat at least. If not I will probably sell this thing and go get the Tab A (although I didn't see a 7inch model with more than 8gb storage)
