Very excited to announce my first unofficial build for NP1
Why Paranoid Android?
Paranoid Android is probably one of the best Custom ROM with the main focus on stability and performance all while keeping the UI simple to provide an OEM like experience. PA builds are based on the Code Linaro Organization Android base, which is optimized for Qualcomm platforms and has a higher degree of performance, battery life, and functionality compared to the Android Open Source Project platform. The Paranoid Android team and contributors have always focused on squashing existing bugs, and implementing and improving features, performance, and stability. They dedicated to providing a user experience with the stability that you can expect from stock ROMs with best-in-class performance and features to help you get the most out of your device.
What's Different in these builds?
To be honest, nothing major as this is the very first time that I am trying out building custom roms. Here's something to start with.
Enabled NTCam (Already present in PA Source but disabled in Official builds)
Added Google Photos spoof for unlimited backup

Note: I am not a developer by any means who can contribute these immensely talented and very helping team of PA. I just want to learn more about building ROMs and hopefully add along some useful features that I see fit for my daily use.

Is there a way by which it can be enabled in the existing official build?
edit: Like it doesnt make sense to have a new build if that can be done. So ignroe my question

You'll have to root and use pixelify module with magisk. The devs of the PA team have clearly mentioned they'll never add the Google photos spoof in official builds.

Sorry for the misunderstanding on my part. I don't know why I thought of Google photos spoof. As for the Nothing Camera, it is there in the source but not in the builds. A reference to include it is already there in the sources but just commented out. I simply removed it from comments before building.

thanks for the clarification. on the side note, is it possible to enable the spoofing part while building so rooting isnt needed?

That's exactly the reason why my build exists. My build has the spoofing and Nothing Camera. No need to root.

is there a problem with the microphone when making a phone call on the latest build?

i guess it's now best time to build your unofficial PA. As PA topaz 3 have fixed almost everything for nothing phone. the actual PA is missing unlimited storage and NTcam. They have fixed mic. Even now nothing phone integrated barcode scanner in NTcam so no other Google cam required.

I just Installed it... You will have news soon. Thank you for your time...
P.S. Would you like to look something special and report you ?
Bugs, video recording.
Does it mean that it doesn't record video at all or... kind of new to CM/AOSP roms so sorry if noob question
So far best custom rom to i9295 that i have used. Fast and all the options I need.
But does somebody know how to enable Lockscreen widgets on this rom? I have not found a option to do so. Lockscreen options has a place to change clock options but that does not effect on anything.
@Malous is the gps stable? (ie during navigation, I completely lost the gps symbol with 4.3 custom roms, after some minutes the icon returned and with it gps reception - it would be nice to know if this issue is fixed for s4a or not

I'm sorry I do not have a S4 Active. Kindly test and report back so that I can add to OP.
BTW new build is up and running,.
@a2441918 I was too impatient and flashed (v2) yesterday. GPS looks good so far, if there are any issues I'll post them here. Thanks for supporting the s4a!
/Edit: Could you please include a version number or a date in your filenames? Otherwise it is diffifult to know which file to flash in recovery, if you also downloaded an older version.
Furthermore, it would be great to know the correct md5 of each download and one or two sentences in the OP regarding gapps (where to get, when to flash, do gapps need to be flashed after an carbon upgrade or not?)

Updated the names of the files. Appended version name at the end. I will add Gapps data during next build.
So far so good. Could you please tell me how to synchronize contacts with Facebook (for incoming photo). I love the way that battery least forever almost 1 day.
Gpx works great.
Thank you for this great ROM my friend...

Hi guy, I'm pretty much a noob and I installed the ROM. The ROM looks good and fast.
How can I use Gmail, Google Play etc with it?
Actually there no gapps for it? Isn't there any way to bypass and install Google apps?
Thanks
OK got that working thanks to Gapps Manager : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2589167&page=5&nocache=1

Official build will start once spegelius fixes the video recording bug. He can do it. BTW new build coming up.
One dumb question: do you confirm can we just instal each new build without any factory reset and therefore without the backup\restore of the applications? And thanks for the build!

Yes it doent wipe data. Btw who wants Vanir AOSP for S4 Active? Some 50 thanks to this post and you will have it. Ask your friends, team members too.
i just noticed, how good the battery life of this rom is. it is much better that the sammy rom or cm11! How is that possible? i use the app "system panel" for monitoring. the interesting part about this is, that with carbon i get only 1% CPU base load (Samsung an CM11 give me about 3% base load). I dont know the differences or if this is just a feeling....
Hi, is this just for the i9295 or will it work on the SGH-i537 AT&T?
Hey just wanted to know is there is a way to change the display density of this rom. Tried to change from build prop but it doesn't change at all

My friend, not with this thread but with mi2 request one you know... GPL and other things [emoji6]
Mi2 couldn't be any more GPL compliant. Xiaomi even released the bootloader sources which no other company did before.
Yup but if you check that thread was like.. Even xiaomi release sources won't have support from omni never ( or that is what I understood...) That's why I wonder
well it was just a XDA mod and these don't have any power to make project decisions.
If you read the thread you'll find one post of a OMNI dev who said he would add Mi2 support if somebody ports it.

About Omni
The goal of Omni is to experiment with Android development because we enjoy it. Omni isn’t better, just different. It’s another option for the billion Android users out there.*Android (vs. iOS and every other mobile OS) has thrived on options as well as the gigantic, talented development community that has emerged to build those options. That’s the beauty of Android – that you can pick and choose from a smorgasbord of devices with varying features and functionality.
Omni is a chance to get involved, no matter who you are. Developers, whether you’ve been developing apps for a week, or ROM features for 3 years, you’re welcome. Users, we know you want to help out, and now you can – Omni actively encourages bug reports and feature requests, which can be added to our publicly accessible roadmap. What’s the point in giving you a ROM, and forcing you to not tell us about any bugs you find?
We also recognise how people use Custom ROMs – we’re all custom ROM users and developers ourselves – the argument that “nightlies are not for end users” is over-used, and no longer valid. We’ve found that the vast majority of users want to get nightly updates to their ROM. For that reason, nightlies aren’t a playground – nightlies are for new features that are finished. You should be able to expect the same stability and reliability from a nightly as you would from a “release” ROM, and can report any bugs that prevent this from happening.
We know not everyone wants to update their ROM daily, and you are free to update as frequently or infrequently as you like. Omni is about flexibility and giving users what they expect – and we are excited to see where the community goes with it.

Been using it since morning and everything seems fine so far. It's already becoming my favorite rom.
What about display drivers, are these latest or old ones, asking because old drivers had screen burning issue.
Brightness is too high.. even at half slider.. I hope it's not affecting my screen...

We are very excited to announce the release of Paranoid Android Quartz based on Android 10.
On the first launch, you’ll notice a clean setup with a beautiful wallpaper from Hampus Olsson, who teamed up with us again to create several beautiful pieces of artwork. Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose design stands for itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We also added further UI touches that we believe enhance the overall user experience. You can find all of the Paranoid Android wallpapers and many more in the Abstruct app, included in our builds.
Our builds are based on the Code Aurora Forum Android base, which is optimized for Qualcomm platforms and has a higher degree of performance, battery life, and functionality compared to the Android Open Source Project platform. The Paranoid Android team and contributors are focusing on squashing existing bugs, and implementing and improving features, performance, and stability. We are dedicated to providing a user experience with the stability that you can expect from stock ROMs with best-in-class performance and features to help you get the most out of your device.

It's cool that you included DT2S and DT2W. Fingerprint scanning still blinks the screen. I hope it can be good as stock someday. One bug I encountered is OTG. When I insert mine it restarts automatically. Tried 3x but it always does that. The sound volume is a bit lower compared to stock. Overall this ROM didn't disappoint. It's worth the wait.
Flashed from Miui.... Didn't boot...... Stuck at animation, Flashed stock rom and then flashed rom.... Same thing... Both cases with their respective Data Wipe

The only option i can think of is deleting manually, which is not safe.

I'll look into that.
Consider donating as it would be easier to fix up bugs with the device.

If you installed SHRP after flashing rom zip, that could be the issue.

How do I migrate from MIUI 12? Do I just factory reset and flash or do I need to format my storage entirely?

Yes you do need to flash and just format data

I somehow messed up my installation and ended formatting again my device. After the setup, I tried again my OTG and it now works. Really weird. But yes, I'll definitely consider donating so you can fix your Mi A3.

Nice, Thank you!
How hard is it and how much time would it take to degoogle the ROM and build it without gapps?

non-gapps build, even if anyone compiles, would'nt be official. And would certainly miss out some official features like face unlock, app lock etc

Try CR Droid or Pixel Extended, but don't go back to that sh!tty MIUI
This ROM and Pixel Extended ROM is very identical, and yup I just tried this ROM and find the same Wi-Fi and Bluetooth issue
Here are the logs.txt file for the devs

It's a ROM's internal built issue, it can never be solved like that, that's why I suggested you a similar alternative, try out the Pixel Extended (Official) ROM, its very similar and much stable.
This ROM is not just based in Pixel Extended ROM but a straight up cop-paste of PixelExtended (Official) Version 2.2 Build Date 28.12.2020
Even wallpapers are the same, not a single change in feature and performance, it's more of a downgrade if you chose to flash this unstable ROM instead of Official Pixel Extended one, lol
Too much copy-cat ROMs are really creating a time drain and confusion from us user's side, its really unnecessary to spam similar ROMs multiple times.

Please respect a dev's work and do not call it a copy/downgrade openly. If you find bugs report them with logs. Thrashing the rom for being a copy and comparing it with other roms is a disrespect to the developer.
Also this rom is in initial stages, do you expect it to have loads of customisation just in the beginning? Please have patience, things in roms change with time, They tend to start with basic features and increase them by time.
