Is there a way to access recovery mode to factory reset the KIRINAVI tesla style Head unit?? - Android Head-Units

Hi,
I have bought the Tesla style head unit from KIRINAVI shop on ALIEXPRESS. It has been working fine for months.
Few days ago I wanted to update the software, so I looked in the factory settings section, where options are labeled with bad translation, I clicked on one setting which I don't remember the title any more and suddenly the screen was locked and asked me to enter a passcode to access the unit! All attempts to enter passwords or pin did not work.
Rebooting or resetting using a pin works but I am stuck with a passcode challenge.
So I think the best way to solve this is to reset to factory settings. How can I do that without being able to access the settings or anything in the unit??
Does anyone know if it is possible to do a factory reset on this unit through accessing the recovery mode maybe?
The seller is of no help. I searched everywhere on the net and on this forum and could not find an answer.
I did manage to update the software by downloading the XY files and putting them on a u stick thumb while resetting with a pin.
Unfortunately even after the update the screen lock was still there.
Any help is appreciated.

help for rkpx3 - no command on recovery

Hi, ive bought one of these units, i previously had one which i had no trouble with. Until the usb and wifi died so became useless to me.
i have a new one no with the rkpx3 chip and a soldered board, i can get root access with no issue, but if i soft boot to recovery, i get "no command" . I have tried the usual buttom combinations to get a response but nothing. the only way i can seem to exit the recovery mode is via the reset button which deletes everything and returns to stock.
i cannot gain recovery via the hard buttons either!
the dev password is 3386, could i be right in thinking this is a seller locked software? i have asked the seller and they told me it couldnt be rooted (have su access so i know its rooted)
my serial number is listed as 00000000 also.
any help would be greatly appreciated

Suzuki Grand Vitara - M779 Head Unit PX5 Octa Core - stuck on Bootlogo

Hey guys,
I bought a Navigation System M779 (androidautoplayer.com) for Suzuki Grand Vitara from AliExpress one month ago.
At first, everything was fine and I was very happy about it. Nothing to conplain about.
Then I went on Holidays for about 14 days, in which the car wasn't used in any way.
Yesterday I started the car for the first time after Holiday, the battery still was fine but the radio did not boot. The screen stayed black and the Buttons did not light up.
After checking the Plugs on the back, the screen showed a Bootlogo, but got stuck.
I did not modify anything and everything was fine until Holiday.
Can you please help me?
Pressing reset did not change anything. Sometimes, selecting reverse does activate the rear cam. That's it.
I don't know how to enter Recovery or how to install the Firmware.
It is an Android 9 PX5 System. This is everything I know.
Kind regards
Robin
May be able to reflash firmware using this method - https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=79144579&postcount=2 assuming that the manufacturer posts firmwares on their site, or can provide it to you via download, email, etc.
Thank you for your reply.
I tried some Firmware-files, just to see If the head unit enters Recovery. This failed.
The manufacturer also replied to a Mail, telling me that they will hand me out a possible solution next week.
I will wait eagerly.
Hallo again,
unfortunately the manufacturer did not provide a solution to recovery my Head Unit.
I managed to get into the Recovery Menu and tried to wipe data, but this had no effect at all. Still stucking in bootloop.
The information given in Rcovery Mode are:
rockchip/rk3368/rk3368
9/PQ2A.190305.002/hct204281503
userdebug/test-keys
Recovery V9.0.5.
Supported API: 3
Can anyone please help me restore the Head Unit?

Did you try to disconnect the main connector from the unit and leave it that way for a few minutes ?
And then reconnect it again.
Thanks for your reply... But I think I did very stupid today and bricked the device.
Reagrding to this topic "forum.xda-developers.com/android-auto/android-head-units/head-units-rockchip-px5-mcu-csn2-t3912413" I flashed my device with "Fake Android 10 - July 6th 202007061156".
The flash ran smooth without any errors. But the screen seems dead now.
The buttonlights still turn on and do blink if I press the powerbutton for about 10s, but there is no bootlogo or anything at all.
I cannot enter recovery anymore.
**** happens?!?
Kind regards

yt9218DH DSP rds and factory reset disappeared- SOLVED

Hello everyone. I have sadness. I updated the yt9218DH dsp from xyauto. Updated to android 6 but newer version (2020). Everything went ok. Added small improvements, such as splitting the screen, sound adjustments and the like... But the information about the radio chip disappeared, and RDS and radio text disappeared. Previously, rds and radiotext worked. The radio application is the same as before. The factory settings of the radio show that the chip is NXP6856. There is nothing about rds in developer mode. And the option to factory reset the main unit has disappeared, I can't find it anywhere, the menu only offers the option to reset the network settings. Help me please. Well thank you
no one help? please. Or can someone provide a stock application of the 9218DH radio?
really no one can help me with my problems? how to get into recovery mode? I tried to tap with five fingers at startup, then I tried to hold the reset button for 10 seconds and turn on the main unit and without success, then I tried the "recovery boot" command through the linux terminal and the main unit restarted but it showed the android robot and said "error". it is a unit with physical buttons. any other advice?
so a complete backup+preloader+scatter is done. Then I did ROOT, and through the android terminal I activated the RDS command, which disappeared. To do this, I activated the microphone settings MIC1 and MIC2 in the sound settings. Through the command, it is possible to change the type of amplifier, add/remove the HIFI button in the equalizer, increase the RAM to the magical 8GB-fake, of course, etc. I can add pictures and commands if someone wants.. (somewhere they state that the command via the android terminal works even without root until the next reset of the device, it didn't work for me without rooting) Everything on yt9218DH DSP android6. Thanks to my friends from 4PDA

Head unit erased itself

Hope someone can help. I have an Android 8.1 head unit (Chinese) which has been working fine. I removed it from my car and powered it up in the house with a PC PSU, this enabled me to sit for a few hours and set all my apps and home screen up just as I want it. Once all was done, it was running great. I installed back in the car and on powering up, everything was good. A couple of days later, I got in the car and the android displayed “Erasing" and took about 10 minutes to boot. On boot it has gone back to factory defaults and deleted everything. Even worse, the original launcher screen will not come on and it just says “Starting android" but does not progress any further and I cannot get into any settings.
Does anyone know -
1) How to access recovery mode, either by the reset button combination or taking the motherboard out and shorting?
2) or How to Install the original or another Android that will work with my unit?
Or any other ideas? I'm fairly confident when it comes to fixing stuff, just need a walkthrough to get me up and running again.
I had the same issue after installing a new firmware in my Junsun V1 Pro with Mtk8257 CPU. Unfortunately you're just writing that you have a Chinese head unit but all Android head units are from China...
This happened only once and after configuring everything again I have no further problems. The "Starting Android" screen appeared several minutes. So still stay patient and wait.
I thought the erasing happened because I remounted the vendor partition for write access in a wrong way. Maybe you installed a software component or performed some special actions which may be the reason for the erasing?
