My budget computer that i bought for only 2.50 - Battlestations

I was hunting around and I came across this PC at a garage sale..
SPECS:
AMD Phenom II X4 965 (3.4GHz)
16 GB of ram (upgraded from 8GB)
500GB SSD, 1TB HDD, DVD drive
I wonder if it's a good deal..
It also came with a GT 520 but i replaced it with a GT710 and as of now an AMD R7 240
I've gotten a new case for it and it is now a workstation.

2.50 what?
can not tell anything about the deal unless a price has been specified.

$2.50 dollars

well at that price it is a good deal no wonder!

Ok, go ahead in sharing what you know.
Here you have an article about CF vs SSD.
Conclusion is that much better go to a SSD: Much more reability and durability.

Which Model Did You Get?

Myself, like many others, decided that the Asus Eeee Pad Transformer was the tablet of choice. Trying to find one without being ripped off was a whole different endeavor though.
Being as the 16GB version's price has inflated everywhere, and in some places up to $65 above MSRP, I decided to get the 32GB version, which was in stock, and still only $499. I noticed this was the trend in most places selling it, and I saw the $40 difference for double the memory as a no brainer.
So with that in mind, my question to you is, which model did you get? 16GB or 32GB? What swayed your decision? Did you pay above MSRP for it?
Chose: 16 Gb Version
Why?: Cuz It was On BestBuy for 399$ and I had a 32GB Micro SD from My HTC Thunderbolt plus and Extra 16GB micro sd from my old phone. Put the 32 in TF101 and 16 in TBolt. Boom. Got me a 48GB Transformer
Satisfied?: Hell Yes.
16gb from amazon.
32 GB from Amazon.de
not got yet but considering getting the one with the keyboard bundled which only seems to be the 16gb at the moment.
but the way i see it is that if i get a 32gb microsd card and a 32gb sd card for the keyboard bit (cheaper) then its negligable what the internal storage is
32 gb from Amazon.de as well. Trying to find a Swiss-French dock ever since
Will upgrade the Micro-SD as needed...
16gb. Exactly $399 on Newegg.
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using XDA Premium App
16GB from Amazon at $399. I figured that with the microSD slot, I didn't need 32GB. If I felt stronger about that much storage, I probably would've gone with a GTab, tbh.
I'm on my third unit now. Aside from the speaker issue and some moderate light leaks, I'm satisfied with the rest of the device. Overall, though, I wish I'd waited until Asus had the bugs out of production.
389 from tigerdirect. I found for most folks, disk space was being consumed by media/movies. Since I never planned to watch movies and only listen to music from Google music, 16gb was more than enough. After a month, I still have 11 GB free on the TF with another 8GB microsd and 4gb SDHC card
Bought the 32 GB here in Taiwan. Got a free 32 GB SD card and an Asus sleeve because of the messy pre-order.

I wouldn't say that to Erica Ogg of cnet, (an ipad fangirl with her head up her ass) according to her none of the Android tablets have caught on and sales have been 'uninspiring'

One 16GB, one 32GB, both bought at MSRP.
16GB with dock
Currys UK (bought in store)
RRP - £430.00 with free express delivery and 20% off a £35.00 case.
16 gig with a dock. Figured if I wanted more later I'd get a microsd card.
Bought the 32gig TF.
Using 32gig MicroSD.
Bought the Dock + using a 32gig SD.
96gigs. A fair bit of it is movies and porn.
16GB with dock at comet.co.uk
I got lexar 32gb class 10 for SGS 2, put it in TF now.
I bought a 16GB today. I bought in store so it was $26 sales tax. I'm not good at waiting. Newegg has them for the same price but I would have gotten it Monday.
32GB from canada computers. was on the waiting list for more than a month for the 16GB version and gave up waiting.
16gb from amazon. If amazon has none in stock it shows another seller that ups the price, buy from amazon and it's still only 399. I stream my music and movies, but the assurance of another 16gb would be nice but meh.
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using XDA Premium App
32Gb from Newegg with a 32Gb microSD as well as a Keyboard/Dock also from Newegg.

[Q] Solidata Z6 with shift 9500 works?

I bought a Solidata Z6 64 GB 1.8' MLC ZIF II SSD that according to the distributor was specified to work with HTC Shift 9500 but I can't get the shift to recognize the disk. Anyone else had problems with this disk? The disk works perfectly in another computer (tried it by old troubleshooting-habit )
If I can't get this drive to work, which SSD disk are you guys happy with for the Shift 9500?
/Indys
I just installed this one:
Integral INSSD128GP18MXZ 128GB SSD ZIF PATA
got it at eBay for 90,-€ shipping included.

Cool how smooth and silent my shift is running now.

Any reason to get the 500gb over the 16gb?

Ordered the 16gb yesterday btw. Is there any reason to pay extra just for the 500gb? Especially now that I heard usb storage and full micro usb support is coming in android M?
I too went for the 16 GB version. There are so many drawbacks to having a hard disk (as well as the cost). HDDs get noisy and unreliable as they age and I believe the 500 GB version is dependent on a working original HDD to boot. SD storage is so cheap now and USB 3 flash can be faster than a HDD and nearly as discrete. I guess if you want a no-hassle out of the box experience and you have money to spare and therefore will probably upgrade before the HDD wears out, the 500 GB model still makes sense. It was good of Nvidia to include a microSD slot despite how much it devalues the 500 GB model.
I'm in the market for one also and this discussion was extremely helpful. I was wondering if there were any extra bells and whistles that weren't advertised, that would have made the 500GB model worth the extra cash. Thanks for ya'lls input.
I own a 500GB model and I can say that until you can actually put your own emulators and other media on there it is absolutely worthless. There aren't a ton of high end games on there either.
Thank you for the replies. The unit I got was a dud but I guess I'll replace with a 16gb instead of pushing to get a 500gb. If android M really lets you set it up as internal storage then it might be worth it.
In my country a 128gb micro sd is $70, while the 500gb model is $120 extra.
Don't get your hopes up about M.

pl help me to buy a gaming laptop

I'm looking to purchase a laptop in the 1.2lac Indian Rupees (1500USD) price range. It should have at least 16GB RAM and a 1TB SSD storage capacity. Additionally, I require a 6-8GB graphics card for tasks such as using Adobe Premiere or similar applications. However, I prefer a lightweight laptop that is easy to carry around due to portability concerns.
Could you please recommend some laptops available in India that meet these criteria? I would appreciate your suggestions. Thank you!
Thanks and regards

Not the cheapest option out there but the more "budget" ones like Clevo/Sager will most likely be heavier
