ODIN stuck at setup connection - Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite Questions & Answers

Hey fellas,
long time no posting here from me.
Currently struggling with Odin software and Galaxy Tab S6 lite.
Whenever I try to flash anything Odin is stuck at Setup Connection and then fails after amount x minutes.
Seems to be driver related but I almost tried every Samsung USB drivers or the one that come with zadig.
However, device is recognized by windows and by Odin itself.
Any ideas from your end?

Connection problem with almost bricked phone

Hello
I have a big problem with my note. today i wanted to change rom from imilka's AOSP ICS [IMM76D/4.0.4] to newest version of rocket. after flashing Abbys 4.2 kernel I missclicked to reboot button, after reboot phone got stuck and starting screen "Galaxy Note" I can even enter recovery, but can't do anything because if I try to move up or down then cwm got rebooted. Download mode works also BUT... The main problem is that after that fail with flashing I can't connect to pc. I tried with another cable/another pc/ reinstalled drivers and kies and still pc can't recoginze this device. any solutions? thanks in advance
If while flashing with Odin you receive an error message or got stuck on factoryfs the only thing you can do is to go to Samsung Assistance..

Odin is not recognising S4 in downloading mode

This S4 belongs to my friend.
He rooted the mobile some days back.
Day before yesterday he tried to update it using Samsung Kies but the process was interrupted in the middle. He couldn't do the emergency firmware recovery and then he brought it to me.
So, the phone is not booting now.
I went to cyanogenmod site and started following the instructions to install it but I couldn't get past the heimdall step. I used three versions (1.31, 1.4RC1, 1.4RC2) but all three were struck at that step. Searching didn't help me here.
Then I downloaded an official firmware and opened odin 3.07 but odin too is not recognizing it in download mode.
The computer is making sound when connected but odin is not recognising it.
Used 2 systems. One with windows 8 and other with windows 7.
Also tried with different USB cables.
Also tried uninstalling and reinstalling kies. (Killed all the kies process before starting the above steps).
Am going mad for the past two days.
Any solutions?
Is the phone charged enough? Hmmm also when he was rooted why did he try to update via kies?
Sent from my HTC One
Yup. The phone is charged.
Well. He didn't know that we should not update it via kies after we root it.

[Q] Did I just brick my s4?

Hi, I have a rooted galaxy s4 LTE with android 4.3, and was going to update to 4.4.2 via odin 3.09, but during the middle of the installation, I heard a usb disconnection sound, and a red light saying fail appeared on odin. I waited a while, but nothing, and when I restarted my phone, I got that message "firmware upgrade encountered an issue. please select recovery mode in kies and try again" with some odin console messages on top.
I don't know why I can't recover with kies, nothing shows up on the list, and I tried to flash again with odin, using the same rom, but it failed.
what should I do?
I downloaded the official rom from sammobile.
thanks in advance

i had the same problem before! it was the usb ports in my pc ! i changed pc, i used my laptopt and everything were ok! just test another usb port or another pc using odin and original rom and everything should be ok! Dont panic ur phone is ok
remember always to run odin as administrator
hey! yeah, apparently it was those front usb ports, both of them weren't working properly, when I connected to another usb behind the computer it worked fine installing the same rom through odin.
phew!
thanks

Download Odin if you don't already have it and the matching firmware for your model put phone in download mode and flash with firmware should bring you back
Don't panic!
Firstly, make sure you have the correct drivers so that Windows can see your phone (search on here).
Secondly, if Kies won't work, Odin probably will. Odin (again, search on here for it) allows you to flash any Samsung firmware to your phone (Search sammobile.com for firmwares, but MAKE SURE you get firmware for the correct version of Note 4).
Hope this helps.
ive downloaded the correct firmware for my phone now what do i do in odin
I'm at work at the moment, so I can't spend too much time on here, but this should help you out:

my phone keeps disconnecting then connecting while i connected to odin
Try setting everything up in Odin, and then connecting your phone (in Download mode). Wait for the connection to be recognised by Odin, then click the button to start the flashing. Always works for me.

If you used an extra back cover remove it and connect the cable again.Check if there is any lose connection.

S5 SM-900A (AT&T) Bootloop & Fails 4.4.2 Flash

Hi all,
I've been looking through your other questions/answers in the forum and have found hugely helpful stuff, but now I am stuck and can't find anything. After the last AT&T software update (about a month ago?) my S5 started restarting randomly, and it progressed to get worse and worse (even in Safe Mode) to the point it is stuck in a bootloop. I did some research and have been using complete 4.4.2 Firmware files in Odin (using a Windows 7 laptop) to basically reset everything in a hope that it will solve the problem. I have no issues connecting to Odin with the right driver, and I have the correct settings in Odin set, and I have the right firmware files in the right AP/CP/CSC slots. However, when I hit "Start", Odin goes through its thing for about 10 seconds before it gets to system.img.ext4 and then comes up with a "Fail" message. From what I've read this shouldn't be happening at all. Odin recognizes the phone in download mode, and there aren't any connection issues with the USB cable so far as I can tell.
Any suggestions?
