(SOLVED by ****-Jones) Junsun T71 Android 8.1 T3 Quad-core. ROOT POSSIBLE? YES!

Hi everybody!
I have recently bought and installed JUNSUN 7" 2 DIN GPS CAR ANDROID 8.1 DAB+ 4G WIFI TPMS DVR SYSTEM, for my Seat Ibiza.
Seems very similar to alot of the px5 units. I'm very happy with it. The steering controls work really well. My problem is that I want to root my Android system and I cant not enter to the recovery system, I have look Google and YT and read a lot. The end of root the system its delete the two boot animation at the system start, it take a lot of time in charge. Some idea?

Ive read the post but how can I get the file "51eb6df0-cad7-11e8-bf31-afdca4ac0826". I install magisk and then I tap on install and a file has been downloaded, is this one you need? The name of the file downloaded is Magisk-v19.3(19300).zip

How did you know that the file (boot_20190521_ZH29.img) that you sent me to patch was the correct one and what corresponds to my HU ANDROID 8.1?

This patched boot.img should work for you. But I'm not sure. Your HU with DSP?
Do you have firmware from your HU?
I would appreciate it if you shared.

Hi again! The first time I start my HU and every time I boot, I'm getting the message "There is an internal problem in your device. Please contact your manufacturerand", its so annoying (you can see it on the photo below). How you think that I can take it off?

Maybe this boot.img is not from your firmware.
Maybe try to do wipe data/factory reset.
It may be possible to update the firmware to the version from which boot.img
Have you made any backup from Car settings?
For starters, you can try to do wipe data/factory reset.

Rockchip PX6 with MCU STM32

Hello guys i just got this unit a month ago rk3399 px6 android 9, 4gb + 64gb with ips display. I realize this unit is quite hot after 15-30 minutes of running music or video. After looking at other people installing heatsink & fan, i start buying the tools i need ( drill, mini grinder, 4cm usb fan (i choose usb because i can unplug when i dont want to use it by opening my drawer), heatsink ( not yet arrive), and super glue.
I just finish install the fan and i was happy with the result. Before installing the fan the temperature is around 42-78 C and after installing the fan the temperature is around 32-52 C.
The hardest part is making a hole in this project
The only problem i find in this unit is the brightness, i have set it to the lowest number but at night it still too bright and hurt my eyes. If any of you have solution please share.
You guys can share knowledge in this thread about STM32.

i Have a headunit like this exactly but with 32gig rom. did a factory reset now radio and audio nolonger work.can you help?

thanx for the reply I did it a couple of times but still nothing. I think maybe the device lost its factory settings. how do I enter the factory settings menu on this device? And where can I get the firmware for this device as well. Will you be able to make a dump of the software for me from your unit maybe it can work after reinstallation.

Since they are reseller, ask them to contact seller in china who help them selling the unit. Maybe they will help.

Hi, I have the same unit from bangood too. Is it possible to root? My rds radio show only station name and not the song name as other rds radio..can it be fixed? It is any possibility for a firmware as other PX6 unit?

Sorry, i use spotify and music, dont know much bout the radio.
I dont think this unit can be root. Since no one support/help modified the firmware or software.

This unit seems good to me. It is new so there are not firmware and mods but we need some a modder that looking to it. For firmware I think bangood is only a restseller would find the product or.

You need to install Headunit Reloaded Emulator to connect androidauto

Hello good day!!
This firmware does not work for me, I decompress it in the root of the Flashdrive and also put the compressed file, but since the system update it does not show me anything, as if there were no Flashdrive. Comparing with other firmwares that I have found searching the internet, this one seems to be missing files so it does not detect it. Putting other firmwares in the Flashdrive unit if it detects them and lets me update, but not with this one.

USB disk must be FAT32! If youre using big size disk (more then 32GB) use any program for format FAT32.

I saw somewhere that by installing the new UI that we would lose access to the pre-installed maps. Is that true?

Just ask your seller. He will provide the links to download the navigation app and several GB with the maps.
On the other side: who wants to use the pirated navigation software?!
I asked the publisher of the GPS app if they know what Junsun is doing there. His answer was that they don't have a contract with Junsun and it's pirated software.

Its works well, i also have link from junsun for 2020q4 maps with install apps if you need.

I asked them if it was the latest FW, they answered "I am sending you the latest firmware", but without link .
I translated that in "I _sent_ you the latest firmware
To be honest, I didn't try your files, seeing the 0 octet .upd file, I jumped to the conclusion that the file was not uploaded correctly !

What a CPU model? This one is only for 8227. If you have other cpu, i am not recommened you install this FW.

It miiiight be a 8259 (the technical details on Aliexpress are not great, but the files the support shared are named 8259-something)

They need to be absolutely identical, not only the CPU.

Hi, I've just updated my Junsun V1 pro. New UI, a couple of bells & whistles, almost nothing more, except a new app shown both on homescreen & app list. That app is called " junsun Security". Somebody knows the purpose of that app? When launched, it simply asks for a (unknown) code...
Any info about this?

Just another question about new UI: There are 4 themes for choosing, but all 4 are almost identical. Is there a way to upload new themes? I know the alternetive is installing a 3rd. party launcher but, in order to avoid lags, I would prefer to keep original launcher...

Hi, find a match / search by android version (on first picture) on this forum and in youtube videos.
When found appropriate firmware , download and put two unzipped files on USB drive and update manually when you boot up davice (it must detect update, start tapping rapidly on screen till you see message detected, rest is automatic).

Download this zip file from link and unzip this file.
When unzipped, in a folder it will be two files in folder, put them on USB drive and update.

This firmware should work for your device. You have software dated year 2017 and this is the closest match with date 2018

If this above not applicable to your device will try to find best match.

I'm not sure , I do not have your device and do not know what UI is in device.
Find the correct firmware in those two links I posted... (by searching YT9216, there are also pics of UI interface for several devices with brand YT)
