Type in google the exact model name (usually it is on the bottom of the device) and the string "RAM". There are lots of websites offering help.
Check your device's manual for how many ports you have available for memory.

I just want to purchase a ram from amazon and fit in it because i know assembling and dissembling and i already opened and seen the hardware of this laptop

That doesn't tell me what I need to know. I did not ask for Windows system information.
I asked what is the model number, it should be somewhere on the outside of the laptop, either on a sticker or molded into the plastic itself.

Since you don't have a sticker underneath, install and run AIDA64, from where you will know what model of HP Notebook 15 you have.

That is the device name, not the model number. The model number designates exactly which version of HP Notebook 15 you have. A notebook 15 from 2 years ago would have a different model number than a notebook 15 from this year, etc... That is why they have model NUMBERS, as in a series of numbers and letters on the device somewhere. For example I had a Dell Inspiron 17, that is it's device NAME but it's model NUMBER was N5110.

Hi, friend. This is precisely my strong point and where I can provide the most help in the forum. I stumbled across your comment.
In the photo you send I see that it is a fifth generation i3. A good processor but seeing your interest in improving performance, I can suggest that you update the same processor before the ram, it will possibly be cheaper and you will get better results. I also see that you use an HP computer, it would be a good idea to know the model, the home ranges are a different division of HP than the business ranges and the expansion possibilities, the ease of access to the interior, etc., are also different.
So if you provide the model we could talk more about it.
However, answering your question, I am only telling you that the memory you need should be in the following range (DDR3L 1333/1600 LPDDR 1333 /1600) so two DDR3 modules at 1600Mhz would be the simple answer but if you want to go further, answer to the question I have asked you and perhaps you can get much more out of your HP. Greetings and luck

Hi, I got similar problem, with a ProOne 440 G9.
I want to add an other 8GB RAM to work with this one and have dual channel RAM.
The problem occurs when I look for an other brand of RAM because the present one I cannot find in my country!!!!!
HP support tells me that I have this RAM : L06334-372 / Hyundai/Hynix / SoDIMM, 8GB, DDR4-3200, Hynix D
CPUID on the other hand tells what is specified ... in attached picture.
Now, the questions are:
1. Can you guys give me some other brand RAM with those parameters in order to run smoothly with this I already got? Preferably Kingston, Corsair or Crucial, brands that are more present on my country market ... or other brands that you believe are good and reliable.
2. Since the RAM I got is 3200 Mhz why CPUID tells that works on 1600 Mhz?
Thank you in advance for your help!

Stefan
O2 did a better job this time by annoucing the XDA IIs with a higher CPU speed using X-scale 512 MHz ... the rest of specs are the same of original HTS Blueangel H/W
P.S: I personally love the code IIs and IIi than III ... I believe the new devices is not up to the III wish list yet
Well, I was searching for good prices for the XDA II in the UK and then I discovered that the XDA IIi and IIs will be released soon-the IIs being released on the 1st of November which is exactly a month from today.
This led me to beleive that there would be a price drop for the XDA II so I chose to wait the month.
Then I stumbled upon this MDA compact.
http://www.i4u.com/article2125.html
Now this device comes with a 1.3 Megapixel camera(was never impressed by the XDA II camera), 416Mhz processor and should be released in Germany by Mid-November.
So my new intention is to get this when it's released (it shoukd cost 200 euros with a contract).
Can I unlock it for my UK 02 sim card?
Can I change the language from German to English?

Hi Lumpi ! how are U ? Long time I don't came here!
can i have some information (in pvt) on how to cook the roms in local ?? (so I can add my favorite apps)
Anyway ... i passed 2 days ago from ppc2002 to wm2003... and can say that is very better !!
anyway..
the new MDa-compact isn't bad... but it will cost 700€ !! For that price is far better spend 150€ more and have the MDA3... i love that phone... maybe it should be my next one (when the price get down 8) ), or i can think on a used MD2 + a fordable keyboard (or the laser one, it cost only 60$ !!) and save about 300-350€ !!
Apart from the fact I'll buy the Magician anyway as it perfectly fits all my needs, observing its PCB image I noticed that it hasn't the ATI Imageon chip.
Carrier Devices however defines also this PDAPhone as a "Gaming Console". Someone knows what's Magician video adapter and if it'll be able to run the last PocketPC Games smoothly?

I believe this chip doesn't help much for the game speed, since XDA1 run most PocketPC games in an acceptable speed already.
What I really concern is the ram size.. I want 128M ram.

i THINK its the Canadian version of the titan...
my problem is it only has 48.54MB of program memory and it just isn't enough...
is this the right amount?
can I have it upgraded?
and i somehow change storage memory into program memory?
Welcome to the "I-want-more-RAM" club.
I wish there was a way to add more RAM to this sucker but unfortunately there isn't. Only thing left to do is hope someone comes up with a custom ROM or wait for HTC to come up with answers.
i remember
i remember people doing custom ram upgrades for ipaqs wayyyy back in the day. like 64 to 128meg upgrades and such for a couple hundred bucks.
i guess nobodys doing this for our HTCs yet?
that company, called PPC-techs, has long since stopped supporting new devices. Back then, people were willing to spend top dollar to add more memory for $500+ devices. Nowadays, the business isn't so lucrative. So, they stopped offering it.
I wouldn't hold my breath.
but it should be possible, no? im pretty handy with a soldering iron and ive done RAM upgrades on xboxes before, i wonder wht it would take to get more info on this
hmm a fellow xbox modder
if youve upgraded the ram in your xbox, you should be facing the same thing here. ppcgeeks has a thread with a disassembled mogul where you can see the memory chip on the board. let me know how it goes...
consider yourself lucky to have 1.5mb's more then the sprint mogul
-mark
there is *a lot* to ram than just swapping a few ics. the paging has to be the same and the phone itself has to be capable of allocating the extra ram. the reason xbox upgrades worked was because the boards were built the same as the dev kits which had double the ram. the xbox just didn't have the memory chips for the extra ram and you could solder them in the spots they went. actually replacing a memory chip is damn-near impossible without a lot of ****ing around

right...im not capable of doing it...i thought defaultdotxbe said he had done it, but i guess i never realized the xbox board had a blank spot for a ram chip? i always thought the chips were swapped out. i knew the dev kits had 128mb but i thought they just had different chips in the same spots? its been too long.. (not trying to turn this into an xbox thread, i see it as relevant..)
so say we do find a chip with the same paging as the (samsung?) chip on the mogul board, WM6 is capable of allocating the extra ram, do we know if MSM7500 can see it?
We just need a CDMA Kaiser, J/K not really though.

there's the xbox motherboard...i doubt that the kernel was made with the ability to allocate more than the set amount of ram but i'm not familiar with how windows ce allocates its ram...it has changed so much over the different iterations
well sicne that website had done the upgrades in the past (and assuming its a purely economical reason that they dont do it anymore as opposed to changes in the CE kernel) i would think upgrading the ram on the mogul would just be a matter of desoldering the chip and soldering a new one on
of course this is why i was hopign for more info on the subject

This is ridiculously small. It's fantastic, I'm sold on getting one.
Your question was answered on the website at the bottom.

The factory says yes but we don't have such card here to test for it. If you're intending to use it for 4GB tf only, then I suggest you to wait for our in-house test confirmation first.

Just curious, does it matter at all that it doesn't say SDHC compatible? Will it slow down data transfers? I saw one similiar on mobileplanet, but didn't order because of that.
I got this one instead: http://sandisk.com/Products/Catalog(1385)-SanDisk_MobileMate_Micro_Readers.aspx
It has the same type of keychain, and is very small as well. But, it says microSD, microSDHC, and M2 compatible.
I've got a smaller one, £5 off ebay. Be careful though, they can bend and could cause damage to your MicroSD.

Yeah, I think it's the same hardware. It's extremely useful for sucking off data from pcs that you shouldn't be touching, as the device can be barely seen protruding from a USB port.

Fake HD2?

Hi
One month after I broke my europian HD2 I got nother from a private seller. It has the same 4.3" great screen, but instead of microUSB, it has miniUSB, it hasn't 3.5 plug and seams to be slower and glitchy.
Is it possible to be a fake with 4.3 screen?
Also the info shows:
CPU Qualcom 8520B
RAM 256
FLASH 256
STORAGE 149.97(not the storage card)
Data bus 32 bit
The most surprising is that whenever I start it there aren't any digits below the HTC logo, showing the version.
Yes it is a clone. They have some pretty close HD2 clones you know, just check out the below for example:

Yeah it looks like you got a clone there.
I also thought that, but there isn't dual SIM, and the device looks pretty old.
Can it be some old version? The long battery is stunning?
I had 3 Chinese phones before but this one seems to be genius.
Ooooooh
I found it. It's fake:

Too late...
If you had one before it's easy to see that is a clone...
Actually a'll keep it. It's pretty good. The reason that i found it, is that i had one before. The difference is mostly in the memory.
I wanna buy a hd2 but how can i understand either it is fake or not? Is there any other ways to understand it is fake or not rather than memory? Because some clone says they have 1 ghz processor :O checking imei number is useful?

If it does not have a 3.5 headphone jack and if it has the mini USB connector lick the one in ZEMONTI's pictures. Notice how the USB port sticks out like a sore thumb on his Phone. The real HD2 does .other have this.
See the system (or memory) info! If it has only 250mb, or less it's fake.
Am i write?
gotta admit though, those fake phones are pretty darn slick. not talking about software but hardware-wise those imitations are pretty good.
these fake phones keep on getting better and better

The fakes do look slick and agree they just get bigger and better. What concerns me tho is the lack of 3G or hsdp network. Both the above links appear to quote 'GSM/Edge', im thinking if running android and are outwith a wifi hotspot then speed would be deminished
ha ha ha !! u have a fake Hd2...now go find some fake xda for ur hd2 !!!

Tbh, these look quite good actually. Still prefer my HTC HD2 though.
Just looked at the HD2 running Android link... The phone has a higher MP camera than the real one.

Building own Android Head Unit

Chees Folks,
i wanna start a project and hope for an exchange of knowledge. First of all i wanna introduce myself. Im Pat, 27 years old from Germany. I have an BMW 3 (E46) with a Pumpkin Android Headunit (famous RK3188). Tbh the head unit is really slow and i thought: "Why not build a whole new head unit by myself?". I'm experienced in electronics and maybe a little bit of programing.
I thought about the following parts to realize the Project:
As Mainboard the Pine64 Rock64 - Advantages: Full Android support, Based on the Raspberry Pi, 4GB RAM, a lot of modules are available like 7" Touchscreen, external soundcard, GPS module, FM module, WiFi module and i also found a nice module to emulate my Steering Wheel Keys without big effort to it.
The challenging part comes with the bluetooth module. With a little investigation i found out, that you need a special bluetooth module that comes with the profiles: HSP, HFP, AD2P and so on.... Now the big question! How can i find an app for android that works with the module and let me manage the connections, make phone calls, transfer contacts and play music from my mobilephone? I guess you know what kind of app i am talking about. The common Android HU like Eresin, Pumpkin, Xtron, JOYING have these bluetooth managing apps (see screenshot)

Best regards!

Yes is saw this thread but unfortunately the creator didn't answer for about 3 Months and as i see the progress is really slow there. But sounds very interesting. Thanks for the hint
Actually, the PINE64 board is not really fast (Quad-Core A53 CPU, the usual PX5 head units have Octa-Cora A53). Considering all the effort you would have with getting something custom to a useable state, it's probably much easier and cheaper to try one of the new PX6 units for the E46 (with much faster A72 cores) first.

That one is from Adam Serbinski.
The link I referred to is from 96carboard aka ibdroid aka luciusfox aka doitright aka Mukesh (and a few other aliases) and continues here
I did not check and do not know if doitright is working on the first one too.
Edit: After further examination they all work on the same tree.
Edit2: After further examination I think that Adam Serbinsky is one of the many aliases doitright (96carboard) is using.
