Question Switch from EEA to Global? - Nothing Phone 1

How can I do it please. I'm on rooted 1.1.3 EEA. OTA-Update fails.
So I will test to update with global to 1.1.6.
Is this possible? Thanks in forward.

Since you are on 1.1.3 you can use the unbrick tutorial without a problem. No need to convert to global.

Yes I also interested in converting to global from EEA any tutorial?

OTA fails because you are rooted...
1. Go to magisk manager
2. Uninstall magisk > restore images (Don't Reboot!)
3. Install OTA
4. Go to magisk, Install > install to inactive slot
5. Reboot
I did that method since 1.1.2 and I'm on 1.1.6 EEA right now.

Restore images does not work for me. I don't know why.
So, this method is not working for me.

Get the stock unpatched boot.img then and flash it with "fastboot flash boot boot.img"

I've flashed now the unpatched boot.img. Update fails. Next step please?

I don't know why it's not working for you. Maybe you're doing something wrong.

I've now again flashed full "Nothing113EEA" by "*#*#682#*#*".
The updates are now working. Now I'm at "NOTHING116EEA".
I hope it is possible to update in future the incremental updates.
Nothing will not release more "Full.zip" either Global nor EEA.

I'm having the same problem, how did you flashed the full "Nothing113EEA" again?
When I try it said that it cant flash because it is an old vesion

I was at 1.1.3. Now, you can flash the Full.zp of 1.1.6. It is released.

I believe you have to go back to the stock recovery, unroot, and THEN update to MM... but I'm not sure how.

One more question. If I go back to stock recovery and unroot, I should be able to fine the OTA update via the EMUI's updater? (whatever version it is)

After restoring the stock recovery reinstall your current OS and then you should be able to update via the updater app or by the dload method

You should only apply updates with the same Cxxx as yours.I thought that you have C432 from the other guy's post so I'm sorry.
And I've found B210 with C469 so you can update to this first with extracting the recovery from it with Huawei Update Extractor and flashing via fastboot and then updating via dload but i don't know if there's EMUI 4.0 for C469.

Hi,
What happens if you update with the wrong Cxxx?
I just got a used p8 that's got GRA-L09C02B191 on it. I'd like to update it to Android6 before starting to screw around with custom ROMs. I've got FirmwareFinder running, and it's already found 200+ options, none of which appears to be C02, despite that being my range setting. Is my model unupdateable?
TIA!

Thanks for the lightning fast reply!
That's not so bad, I don't care about themes, don't use Android Pay, and doing the updates manually isn't a huge pain. Is there anything else that I lose? Presumably I'll be able to roll back to gra-l09c02b191 to restore full functionality?
So can I then just go directly for the latest firmware, which I guess is B370?
Thanks!

Rooting OnePlus 2

Since we won't get any updates I've decided to root my device but before I do so I would like to know if the official root tutorial uploaded by OnePlus would work with Oxygen OS 3.6.0 and what are the usual problems that may come with a failed root.

Yes it will work. Oneplus' firmware is easy to root. You'll not lose any data on unlocking the bootloader either(not guaranteed. I didn't). Just go ahead with it.

How to update to PIE official (unlocked Bootloader with TWRP)

Guys today morning I got the OTA UPDATE to PIE. I am currently on v340 with an unlocked bootloader and TWRP already installed.
Should I go with the OTA update? Will it cause any errors?

Stay on oreo, pie is a disappointment over oreo in many ways, like BB reduced, sound quality reduced, no night light and most important you can't play PUBG in HD and many more.
If you really want to taste pie then you can use custom pie roms otherwise stay on stock oreo.

To install any rom using twrp you must download the rom and place it in your storage
Then boot into twrp
Click on install and and browse to your file click on it and flash it...
You can also do clean flash by wiping your sytem and data before flashing....
I saved update file on SD card, restarted mobile and update proces itself started.
Everything was fine.

Original boot.img from Android 9 10.0.8.0

Hello, is there anyone who could provide me original boot.img of version 10.0.8.0 so i can make patched boot in magisk and proceed with install?
I would be really greatful.
April?
IS version 10.0.8.0 the April update? If so, i would need a full ROM please. OTA is so broken, even stock ROM does not update.
EDIT: It did finally update from stock ROM after MiFlashing and losing all data.
