want to build CrDroid (12.1) for tulip (noob questions) - Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro Guides, News, & Discussion

Hello. We have LOS 18.1, and also i see there we have ArrowOS 12.1, and some other roms also with a13. I want to adapt device tree, vendor, kernel for building stable CrDroid a12.1 as it is one of the best roms but it unsupported for tulip. Can anyone give me advice, which tree use as base, and first steps to start. Thanks

Installation instructions:
You must unlock your bootloader via fastboot.
You must have a custom recovery installed (link above)
Fully wipe your device from Recovery if you are not coming from CM13.0 already.
Flash the downloaded ROM
Locate 6.0 Gapps via a quick Google search. (Make sure it‘s arm64)
Reboot into recovery and install the ROM.
Don‘t flash gapps after you booted up CM 13! This will kill your device. If you want gapps, then flash it right after you wiped your phone and flashed CM 13.
Known issues:
MSM8996: It‘s a new platform. Don‘t expect that CM 13 will run as good as stock.
Dash charge: Does not work, blame OnePlus for not releasing its sources in kernel.

[Help] Fingerprint not enrolling in cm13

what to do?
CM 13 is discontinued, you might be better off reflashing CM (now called Lineage) 14.1 or CM 14.1 based ROMs, Lineage OS OMS and Resurrection Remix as listed in the ROMs and Kernels forum both have working fingerprint detection and more. https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/development

Stable Rom: CM 13, CM 14.1 vs LineageOS

I currently have stock ROM with TWRP recovery. I would like some more features and used CM 12.1 on other phone. Is CM 13 stable on this phone? I don't understand what it means by "unofficial"? Is CM 14.1 or LineageOS more stable? I am looking for as few bugs as possible.
Cm13 is discontinued! And there is no more cm, it's lineage hereafter! So try flashing RR or lineage!

CM 13.1 is unfortunately discontinued.
Lineage OS is basically CM 14.1 with the name change plus additional new commits added from the original CM team.
'UNOFFICIAL' means it's not compilee by the original team but voluntarily by a separate individual/team. These MAY have bugs but purely depends on the dev team working on it. Any bugs can only be reported to the dev (if he's willing to provide support) and not to the original team.
For stability, in my order - first being most stable (as per my usage)
1. Resurrection Remix Nougat (minor cosmetic bugs that's it and literally the most customisable ROM right now + best battery life)
2. Lineage OMS - by Silesh.Nair (none encountered so far and has all implemented LOS features + minor useful additions+ full Substratum OMS support+great battery life)
3. AOSCP/AOSP- Extended - Very stable, Not a LOT of features (yet) and has really good developers actively improving it.
The rest are quite buggy in my opinion (only comparitively - but overall they are really nice)

No you can't, it will brick your telephone
EDIT: I think there is two more AOSP ROMs from haky, but I don't think he is working on them now - he has his phone in the service.

1. Roms:
-OpenKirin' LOS 14.1
-OpenKirin LOS 13 (most stable)
-OmniRom 6
-OmniRom 5.1.1 (abandoned)
-AOSP 5.1.1.(abandoned)
-AOSP 7.0
-gbmasterdoctor's LOS 14.1
-CyanogenMod 12.1(abandoned)
-And other EMUI-Based Roms
Exclamation: None of these roms are perfect and stable if I would make a top of the best roms (for me, of course, your opinion could be different), here it is:
1. OpenKirin's LOS 13
2. OpenKirin's LOS 14.1
3. OmniRom 6
Honorable Mention: AOSP 7.0
2. ahhahahahahahahah. No, you can't, only if you PORT a rom for your device from another device with similar specs (eg. Honor 4C), but it needs some skill and it is not 100% working.
