[Workaround] to "This account cannot be used in this country...(3013)"

Hi ppl:
Here is the way I found in order to download apps from Samsun App / S choice. This did happen to me with stock rom LPY and LPF, last one applied under Dr. Ketan simple instructions. If you'r having this issue is because your region differs from rom's region or something related to CSC. Didn't test changing CSC using *#272*IMEI#, beaware this will wipe ur device except int/ext SD. Also LPF have TGY and BRI only, until now don't know what they mean and duno if doing that will help solving the issue.
So the workaround:
1. Go to Facebook and under application settings delete "Samsung Apps + SNS"
2. Go to samsungapps.com and chose at botton India as country (could be other country but that work for me, it's same country as Dr. Ketan )
3. Crean an account
4. Go to your device and start "S choice" or "Samsung App"
5. Chose any app you want to install
6. Click on Facebook icon bar (think it could work same with Twitter)
7. Agree Terms and Conditions
8. Enter your password and install/allow "Samsung Apps + SNS"
9. Complete any other step related to permissions
10.You are done and ready to download apps...
Hope this help some ppl. cheers!!

what the latest firmware from samsung for this csc and is it has internet sharing
I have that csc XEUJL3, and I updated till 8773 and I have KK1 (2424.11.11.2) (from flashing the I8700XXJL3-RETAIL-UK ROM), but firmware is not tied to the csc but to a registry key (HKLM\System\Platform\DeviceTargetingInfo\MobileOperator)
XEUJL3 comes with a value of 000-GB for that registry key.
So for 000-GB the latest firmware is KI8700XXKI1
But you can change the value to your liking, and then connect to Zune and a new update (OEM, Samsung update, firmware update) will be offered.
For 000-88, it's KK2 (2424.12.2.2)
For SFR-FR, it's KI3 (2424.11.9.3) or LB2???
For FON-ES, it's KK1 (2424.11.11.1)
For 000-FR it's LB2
For Nordic countries (I don't know the code) it's LD1 (the latest) etc.
But all this info is irrelevant, because all those firmware (from KI1 onwards contain the necessary drivers for Internet Sharing). What you need to enable it is some registry edits that can be very easily done by using DiagProvXMLv0.91_IS.xap (attached, credits go to authors Marvin_S & Contable & Snickler), provided that you are Interop Unlocked.
Do that step when you are at 7720. (Try it though to whatever os version you are at, but you must have earlier firmware than KK2)
Deploy DiagProvXMLv0.91_IS.xap to your phone and run it.
Swipe left to the ''iso store'' pivot, tap and hold “Internet Sharing” until the options “Execute” and “Delete” pop up. Choose “Execute” and you will receive a message saying “ProvXML successfully applied!”. Go to Settings and voila Internet Sharing is there.
PS: Judging by the fact you are an advanced user I'm surprised that you didn't know how to enable ICS. So if my advice solves your problem, I expect to press my Thanks button every day for the full month of August.

official jellybean 4.1.1 for the galaxy s3

hi guys just thought id let you all know that samsung has officially released jellybean 4.1.1 for the galaxy s3 in poland !!!
those of you that are patiently waiting for this update wait now more.
How to Update Galaxy S3 to Official XXDLIB Android 4.1 Firmware
[Important] If you flash this firmware over a custom ROM or a Galaxy S3 from another country than Poland, you might need to wipe the data on the phone to make the firmware boot up properly <<< (i did not wipe my data and it flashed perfectly
To be sure you do not lose any data, backup your Apps and important data — bookmarks, contacts, SMS, APNs (internet settings), etc. This Android backup guide would help you. The SD card contents are always safe, so there is no need to back up those. Only backup apps and personal data.
NOTE: Don’t forget to at least note down your network’s APN settings, which are required to make mobile data work. Go into Settings » More » Mobile Networks, click on the APN that is in use, then note down the setting for each field. While APN settings should be automatically restored from network, you can enter them manually if needed to make mobile data work. You can also find your APN details → here.
Download and install the software Kies on your computer, which will install the necessary drivers for the phone.
Download Kies
You can also download the drivers directly — download from here: 32 bit (x86) Windows | 64-bit (x64) Windows
Download the firmware.
Download XXDLIB | Alternate Link | Filename: GT-I9300_XEO_1_20120922093900_w8pdod73hi.zip
Extract the GT-I9300_XEO_1_20120922093900_w8pdod73hi.zip file on the computer to obtain a file named I9300XXDLIB_I9300OXFDLI1_I9300XXDLIB_HOME.tar.md5 (ignore the file named SS_DL.dll).
Download the Odin PC software. If you are new to this, Odin is what is used to flash stuff – firmware, kernels, etc. – on Samsung phones. We’ll use Odin to flash the firmware file obtained in step 4.
Download Odin3 v3.04 | Filename: Odin3_v3.04.zip
Extract the contents of the Odin3_v3.04.zip file to a folder on your computer.
Now, turn off your Galaxy S3 and wait for it to shut down completely.
Then, put the phone into download mode. To do so, press and hold these keys together: Volume Down + Home + Power till the screen turns on. Then press Volume Up to enter download mode.
Open Odin by double-clicking on the Odin3 v3.04.exe file obtained in step 6 after extracting Odin3_v3.04.zip.
Important! Connect your phone to PC now. You should get the message “Added !!” under Odin’s message box in the bottom left.
If you don’t get this message, make sure you installed drivers correctly (using Kies or directly) as given in step 2. If it still doesn’t work, try changing to another USB port on the computer and also use the USB ports on the back if you have a desktop PC.
Click on the PDA button in Odin, then browse to and select the I9300XXDLIB_I9300OXFDLI1_I9300XXDLIB_HOME.tar.md5 file obtained in step 4 above.
Important! Do not make any other changes in Odin !!!. Leave all other options as they are. Make sure Re-Partition check box is not selected.
Now, click the Start button to start flashing the firmware on your phone. When the flashing is complete and is successful, you’ll get a PASS message (with green background) in the left-most box at the very top of the Odin, and the phone will automatically reboot. When you see the Samsung logo, you can safely unplug the cable.
IF you have any questions or you get stuck let me know

[GUIDE] How to get service official firmware for your region

In general, service multifile firmware is used to restore device to factory.
This idea isn't mine, taken from this thread of 4pda forum. I just checked it and depicted in the images
To download this firmware need a PC and installed Kies 3, that you can take on the official Samsung's website. And still need a serial number. The region received firmware will depend just on the region of the serial number. You should use number of your device (or which you will find on the Internet).
Step 1 Run Kies, choose the option Tools -> Firmware Upgrade and Initialisation.
Step 2 Enter the name for the device -> OK.
Step 3 Enter the serial number.
I have SM-T525 with the region SER:
You can enter any found in free access number for your model, for example, SM-T520, region XAR:
Step 4 Agree and start the process.
Step 5 Appears a message describing the firmware. Click OK to continue. I draw your attention that the composition of the firmware may vary. Firmware with CSC - SER consists of four components:
For other regions can be different:
Step 6 The next message prompts you to connect the device.
Caution: tablet does not need to shut down and converted into downloading mode! Connect as it is, in normal mode. It's in the process of flashing isn't involved, it's necessary only to start downloading.
Step 7 Preparation.
Step 8 Click Start upgrade.
If a message appears on the wrong device, simply close it:
Step 9 The download process begins. The duration depends on speed of your connection and size of firmware.
Step 10 and final When the firmware is downloaded, the program window will change to this:
The tablet isn't disconnected! Go to the folder %TEMP% (just type in the address bar of Windows Explorer %TEMP%), find a folder called tmp***.tmp.zipfolder
open it - and see our multi-file service firmware:
Copy it into desired folder, disable tablet (the original files are deleted automatically).
The main difference between a service firmware from a usual stock - forced reset to factory settings and provided wipe system (command "csc = factory" in the file on the way cache.img/recovery/command; for regular firmware it looks like "csc = home"). CSC file contains PIT-file to force the file system layout verification.
Caution! Service firmware produces wipe user data:
- removes section USERDATA and recreate it with the factory settings;
- removes SD-CARD partition and recreate it with the factory settings (format Internal sd-card).
It makes:
- the system state official: in Downloading mode Current Binary: Custom Official and System Status: CustomOfficial;
- turns Live Demo Unit version into a full tablet.
Good luck in getting wonderful firmware!
@ViAlexSt in one of the screenshots, the serial number hasn't been erased.
Maybe it is real data from your own device that you want to erase..

CP Silentlog hangs (won't work) in Galaxy S4 I9505XXUHOJ2 (Lollipop)

Hi everyone.
This is my first post here.
I am trying to learn more about what's happening in the baseband processor (CP) and I'm trying to enable the Silentlog option from the Sysdump menu (#*9900#). Already enabled high debugging level, translation assistant and seclog.
When I run the Silent log I get nothing in /sdcard/cp/silentlog, except empty subfolders and a pid tag file for the modem logging process.
Catlog results: Hangs after reading the .cfg files in /system/etc?
Has anyone tried this before?
Nevermind, solution found.
Flashed *.bin and *.mbn (except for aboot.mbn) from the 2013 I9505XXUAMDM firmware.
It seems that Samsung has deliberately locked down Qualcomm diag features in post-2014 modems.
(On a side note, the latest I9505XXUPPI1 baseband won't even allow for call recording).
So keen to restrict us.
