Android stereo bluetooth problems, Rootable? - Android Head-Units

Bought a no name android stereo, well I bought 2 ( different moddels) my main goal is to use it as a screen for the ecu master software so I can see the parameters of my engine. It connects to cars aftermarket ecu via a canbus bluetooth modul, its not like ur usual obd2 dongle. True problem is that the first stereo has no pairing built in to the software. The aecond one is really nice (Android 10) doesn’t feel cheap like the other ones on wish. But the Bluetooth doesn’t want to pair at all to it. Not trough the ecu app or the androids blutooth settings…. I know several people on YouTube that has found wish hud’s that has been able to do this. Sorry for bad english

Allwinner R16 : pair ELM 327 Bluetooth OBD adapter

Hi,
I use a ELM 327 Bluetooth OBD adapter with Torque Pro on my Android Phone and it works great.
On my Allwinner R16 unit (Android Auto), I can't pair my adapter.
The unit came with a bluetooth app that only "see" my phone (looks like only phones can be discovered), and no other option to scan and pair a bluetooth device.
Am I missing something?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same problem. I had to get a new dongle that does not have a passcode. These headhunts' bluetooth implementation will not accept OBD2 dongles that required a passcode while pairing. I am guessing it is due to poor design.
Go into the Bluetooth settings on your headunit and change the pass code to match your device.

Thank you, I will try that solution.
I tried doing so, setting my headunit to 0000 to match the dongle passcode. No go. I ended buying the no passcode OBD2 dongle for $20. Chinapost, 20 days to get to Florida.

@Gregory In the settings I do not have Bluetooth section.
The only way to deal with Bluetooth is through the bluetooth app that comes with the ROM (and it's pretty disappointing).
In the aforementioned app, I tried to set the same bluetooth pin code as the dongle but It does not works.
My guess is that it only pairs with phones and nothing else.
Here is the only way I have to manage bluetooth...

Did you find any solution?
Hi! I have the same problem with TPMS device USB connectivity with Android multimedia head unit. I tried everything, but so far no result.
Did you find any solution?
Hi! I have exact the same product and i see exact the same pictures, that means I have the same issue on my head unit PX6 with Android 11. I also updated the app to the newer version without any result. Any idea someone?
Hi, I didn't solve the issue. I have tried TPMS on two other car Android multimedia with Android 6 and 7 versions, but without any success.
Do you guys own the TPMS from the head unit seller?
If not there is most probably the issue.
There are wo many aftermarket TPMS... and the head unit supplier just implements their own stuff. Also OEM TPMS are mostly not supported.
TPMS is not from the head unit seller. Supposedly it should work with Android car aftermarket multimedia, but it seems that's not the case.

Exactly!
If I have a look at the provided pictures... It seems to be clear: The TPMS on the wheels are not connected. They need to get activated wheel by wheel.
So go through the settings of this app and try to get them activated. Ask the reseller how to activate if that is not written anywhere. If this is not possible: Send them back and get your money back.

Sorry, byt this is not correct. I 've tried everything, but the problem is not the avtivation of the sensors. The usb receiver can not be recognized by the HU. The app runs, you can choose the wheel sensor to connect, but nothing happens. The power light on the receiver flashes as before, and nothing more. Thanks anyway!

Installing DVB-T Television in generic Android Head Unit

I've been running around in circles for a few days now trying to install DVB-T television in my Range Rover. I have tried two different approaches and both have issues. According to the documentation which came with the stereo, the model number is JBY-xxxx and made by the Shenzen ECT Technology Company and the head unit is supposedly running Android 10.1
My first issue was connecting a DVB-T receiver box to the Aux audio and video inputs on the rear of the unit. When i switch to Aux input designed for TV and DVD units, the video works fine but there is no sound. After a couple of days looking for information, i came across a post where someone else had exactly the same issue and was told that the head unit no longer supported audio in on the Aux after Android 9.0, mine is 10.1.
So, i decided to add digital TV another way by using a DVB-T USB dongle and hit more snags. I tried numerous apps dowloaded from Play Store and none of them would work. One app called AerialTV which seemed to have the best rating and feedback came in two parts, the driver and the TV app itself. When i plug the TV stick in, the driver recognises the TV stick and confirms the drivers are now loaded, but when i run the TV app itself and do a station search, i get the message no stations found, check the aerial.
Now, the first receiver box picks up 91 TV stations and as many radio stations. I have verified there is audio coming out with a scope. I have also fed audio into the aux sockets from an MP3 player and no audio. The TV stick, in fact 3 different models all work fine plugged into the car TV antenna, which suggests again the head unit.
I've posted a pic of the stereo in case someone recognises the exact model.
I'm wondering if there is a different version of Android that would work here prior to Android 9.0 if thats the issue.
Any help here would be greatly appreciated. TIA

Assistance Figuring out information on this Head Unit

Hello! I just recently installed this headunit on my bmw, I have browsed this forum for a few hours just trying to figure out more information on it, I have found myself in a never ending loop, The roms, mcu's, etc. I am utterly lost on trying to figure out more. It works great! and I love it so far, I managed to update the MCU Version the other day, not sure if that is able to tell anyone anything either, The one I had installed was: "Ksw-Q-Userdebug_OS_v3.6.5-ota" I at least think that is an MCU version, regardless I had installed it and it worked well, updated ZLINK and also seemed to help the bluetooth a good bit, I'm now able to connect effortlessly, and immediately launches Carplay and its near flawless minus the slight 1-2 Second lag (As expected for bluetooth) I am curious to see what all you guys can talk me through so I can either better understand my headunit or even show me. Id love to learn about a few roms people have been using and what exactly the benefits are to the one I am using, A popular thing brought up is "Rooting" What benefits would rooting my headunit bring? If there is any. And also I am having issues trying to connect bluetooth to my obd reader, I am able to actively pair it (Enter the pincode) and after that, it refuses to connect regardless how many times I press connect, it seems to just not do anything, I am attempting to use it to monitor AFR, Boost, EGT's Oil pressure/Temp, etc through bm3 I had even went and bought a enet to usb adapter and tried plugging it into my headunit obd port but alas, It was not working regardless, It isn't able to read vehicle vin information etc. Absolutely ANY information regarding my system either capabilities, Roms I should try, what exactly an MCU is, etc is appreciated. Below I have attached my Unit link on amazon, aswell as system information. Thank you! Zack

Not MTCD, requested moderator move to (Android head-units) forum.
Op try searching forums with MCU suffix and using punctuation, and new lines.
This headunit looks to be an oddball. Good luck.

saw a few posts here about that other people can't connect the device also, they don't mention the BT options, and I can't access to the dev options only the factory settings requierd password, the password 126. (8888 gives me options to change boot logo)
the only option that's works for me(was the defult one) to connect my phone and see it in the bt app is this: GOC_BC5_3008
In the other options I can't see my phone and OBD2 when I try to detect new bt device.
Someone with the same issue
Bluetooth connection issues
Having trouble with OBD dongle. Have installed 3 apps and although dongle will pair with head unit, the only option to select within apps says 'dummy FF:00:00:00:FF:FF'. This comes up even if dongle isn't plugged in but at the same time dongle...
forum.xda-developers.com
Which suggests its a issue with the unit.
You both look to have a PX5 (well maybe as you can never tell 100% with these units)

I tried this, saw the comments.
I can't change my BT password it's on auto option.
In other BT options in the factory settings I don't see on the bt app my phone or the OBD2, tried them all, some even crash the app.
tried to reset the bt and wifi settings but no change.
Post in the MCTD section, they are the maker. But the BT function is deliberately crippled in these units so finding a fix will be hard. I went FYT as the maker and can use OBD on BT and UsB.

sorry I don't know what FYT means.
The 2 major makers are FYT and MCTD, there are 100's of sellers but most are made by these 2 makers.
