How to disable Knox in A40? - Samsung Galaxy A40 Questions & Answers

Hi,
I own a samsung galaxy a40 frm my old job. Everytime I try to set it up, It ask me for knox enrollment. I also tried to flash it back using Odin, but always asks me for enrollment.
This phone was my old job's phone, and they never asked me to bring it back to them. I've been waiting for it to happen for more than 6 months but they never called me, I also tried to talk to IT manager, but she told me I can use it to myself, but she can't remove it from knox database? because of enterprise's rules...so now I'd love to use for my personal use.
The problem is that I don't know how to manage in order to uninstall or disable knox.
Please, anyone who could try to help me? I don't want tjhis phone to get old in a drawer...
Thanks in advance
Regards

This thread is for you:
Installing forbidden apps, apk's and even Root Samsung Knox protected phones (Rooting still trips Knox warrenty)
Not sure where to post this exactly as I didn't find any Samsung Generic thread. So: if this is going to be moved somewhere else that's fine. The backdoor I found should be working on any Samsung device running Android 12 with Samsung Knox 3.8...

Thank you very much. Using Passfab I'm able to open a web browser, install some apks and access to settings, but I'm still unable to enter development settings because of knox. Also, In every reboot, I have to launch passfab because knox enrollment asks me to contact to company's gateway... So, I'm not sure what muy next step shold be in order to disable knox, or at least, be able to use my phone as normal, being able to install apps, reboot phone, and maybe rooting it...
I appreciate a lot your post, but I'm not sure if it is ussefull to me. Maybe I'm lost in translation ad it should be somethinb obvious I'm not understanding...
Regards

I gave you a thread to ask questions on it. I am not a knox removal expert.

Yes, I also asked them.
Thank yu very much for your help

Installing Samsung KNOX wiithout Re-Downloading it after a Factory Reset?

Is there a way to install KNOX from a standlone installer in case one does not have access to WiFi internet in order to download KNOX?
So is there a way to use a standalone Android APK KNOX files in case I have to reset my phone and re-install KNOX if I do not have any Internet?
In other words, is it possible to re-install KNOX without re-downloading it?
I have the KNOX Personal Edition.
Looks like nobody seems to know this answer as I already asked this in many many forums.
When 4.3 update was released, I clicked on the KNOX looking Icon from the APPS section and it started downloading. When finished automatically downloading KNOX, It then asked me to install it giving it my password and timeout settings.
But is there any possible way to install KNOX without having to wait for it to re-download in case after restoring my phone from a Factory Reset? Or...what if in case one does not have WiFi internet connection???
In the meantime I went browsing all over ES File Explorer and all things that are KNOX related seems to all spread out in numerous file systems...So I guess it would be impossible to have KNOX installed as a "Standalone" installer.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

Help bypassing lockscreen; unfamiliar with device

Hello,
I am trying to work around/bypass the password lockscreen for a friend that accidentally set it (I think her kid did) and doesn't know what the actual password is. I've already tried ADM and Samsung's "Find My Mobile" service but neither were helpful.
So I'm pretty sure my only two options now are to backup the existing data to my PC (though I'm not sure how given that I don't have access to important functions like ADB, custom recovery, etc.) and then factory reset the phone, OR just deal with the KNOX/warranty flag being tripped and delete the necessary files from /data/system using a custom recovery. If there's another alternative I'm missing, I would love to hear it.
Excuse me for already jumping ahead, but assuming I go the latter route, what would be the easiest way to flash a custom recovery? I've already looked at various other posts on this phone's board regarding rooting and everything looked quite involved.
The phone says it's a G935PVPS4BQE1, if that helps.
Thanks in advance.
P. S. I currently come from a OnePlus One, though I previously had a Galaxy S3 and remember quite vividly how much of a huge pain it was to properly root the device and deal with KNOX. I imagine the rooting process is even more of a pain with more recent Samsung phones.

Accidentally deleted Knox app

Hi everyone!
Today I did a stupid thing- I'm going to factory reset my phone and was looking for a way to backup my Knox data. Sadly, I found an outdated link to a Samsung site that said I will get a prompt to backup when I uninstall the app. Without much thinking, I hit "Uninstall". To my terrified surprise- I didn't get a backup prompt. I quickly installed Knox again, but the data was gone.
Is there any way to retrieve it? The phone isn't rooted or anything, running stock FW.
Many thanks for your help, I greatly appreciate it
I don't know.. but maybe Smart Switch? Try that.. also I don't understand how the Uninstall can backup something.. when it's basic uninstall
The whole purpose of Knox is that you cant recover anything from it of you uninstalled it or tampered your device. Ever.
Heeeeeellllppp!!!
I rooted my Samsung Galaxy S3 with kingroot. I wanted to replace it with SuperSU using SuperSU me. So I deleted a few things from Knox including Knox migration agent trying delete Knox completely to make it easier for SuperSU. Well I didn't have any problems until I did the final reset to install super su. Now when I boot up I continuously you get the air Knox migration agent has stopped. It won't even get to my password screen. Anyway I can download a Knox migration agent zip to my SD card and install it via recovery? Please helplllĀ£

Issue is due to tripping your knox.
How can i fix it
Once Knox is tripped that's it there is no 'fix'
At the moment the only way to fix is replace motherboard or buy a new phone
Just means you cannot use some Samsung related apps like secure folder,Samsung pay Samsung private browser etc.

Eh, that's not a bad thing... There are plenty of way better alternatives on Gplay or F-Droid
There are 3 potential ways around it:
1. Custom ROMs based on stock that software set the Knox to be 0x0 (not tripped).
2. Use Magisk and hide your root on that app in particular.
3. Download a modded APK of Samsung browser that doesn't check for root

Secure folder,knox are not working

Hello guys I want you to tell me how can I fix knox security is not working when I got back to stock android 10 (April security patch) how can i fix knox security and make it work again since i can't use secure folder and incognito mode in Samsung internet and other knox feaitures i appreciate your help and thanks!!
Not gonna happen. You tripped the Knox switch. No going back without buying a new motherboard.
Yep, you should read thoroughly about root before rooting, but for root users I think they modify a file named config.prop to make secure folder, Samsung health incognito mode work again, sorry can't provide more info I haven't rooted my devices since three years I forgot it all, maybe others will, in the mean time do some research like "modify config.prop enable secure folder root"
