Question Reverse Wireless Charging stopped working after July Patch 1.1.2 - Nothing Phone 1

After 1.1.2 update Normal wireless charging works but reverse charging is no longer works on 1.1.2 update. Tried restarting the phone. Doesn't feel to reset the phone for just a one feature which I don't use often but its sad to see things get broke.
Anyone had similar issue ?

For me 1.1.2 reverse charge works just fine, i dont have charging pad so cant try normal wireless charge but the contact that reverse works its sometimes hit or miss so you can try to find the right spot

Tried finding all the spots. It seems finding G spot is much easier than finding perfect charging spot.

I'm also facing the same issue. Did you resolve yours?
Please let me know.

Non lo so prima perché ho aggiornato immediatamente, tuttavia lo stesso problema, la ricarica wireless funziona ma la condivisione della ricarica wireless non funziona
Mod translation via GT: I don't know before because I updated immediately, however same problem, wireless charging works but wireless charging sharing doesn't work

Nope problem still exists. Even after 1.1.3 update

I found that when I put an iPhone on the charge sharing works. while before i tried with xiaomi earphones and it doesn't work with those ...

Same for me, put the huawei free buds pro on the back of the phone, it works for maybe 30 seconds then stop!

Submitted to service centre and due to long wait in parts availability they have just replaced the device with new one. There is no easy fix for the wireless charging issues as its directly related to mainboard and hardly with any software bug.
I suggest please visit service tand get it replaced if that feature is big deal for you.
Ps. You might have to wait up to 2 weeks due to crap process service centres has to follow.

Strange error with my HD display!

Hi friends,
Please give me advices on this situation.
I bought a HD since 05/2009. I installed many cooked ROMs and it still fine until now.
When i've turned off the screen with power button and then turned it on, the screen still black, but i still can touch on it and it vibrate each time i touch. I tried to soft reset by push reset button at the back, pull out the battery .... The screen is always black, but the phone can start up and vibrates when i touch on the screen.
I thought the screen consist of 2 parts, one for displaying and one for touching. And the displaying part is died.
Then i connected it to PC in order to re-install with the ship ROM, and so strange, the screen work again right after i plugged the cable. But i still re-installed it with the ship ROM. But the error came back many times in few days later. And sometimes the method "connect to PC with cable" didn't work.
When feeling hopeless, i left the phone alone in some days and the screen suddenly works.
And now it has just turned back again and i dont know if it will be back or i must have it repair. (There is no warranty service for HTC in my country.)
Thanks for reading, i know that my English is terrible.
Check the backlight adjustment. As ridiculous as it may sound, with a rom I had it sometimes went to zero light on its own. Plug it and make sure that all settings are to maximum light, with the automatic function disabled, and see if it happens again.

This happened to me once and I removed battery and left phone overnight. In the morning I insertedbattery again and problem hasn't materialised since.
However, if your issue keeps returning it looks like you would need to get phone fixed under warranty as it sounds like a loose connection between motherboard & LCD screen

Yeah but the fact that sometimes plugging the device to USB brings it back sounds like software to me. Anyway, I hope you find a way to fix it!

So sad, the issue occurs again when i need to make an important call. It drives me crazy because i were on the street and i must went to a post office. Then i realized that i do not remember the phone number.
I must get it fixed at weekend then i may sell it away. I'm dreaming of HTC Leo but maybe i will come back to my old iPhone 2G until Leo's price drops.
Thanks all for your help and listening.
Sorry to hear of your problems
If it was me, I would send the phone away on warranty and just use your iphone in the mean time.

[Q] Windows Phone 7 (Samsung OMNIA 7) constantly beeping

my Samsung OMNIA 7 phone has got itself caught in a constant beep loop. This started automatically i tried everything and after that i found that this sound is of battery charging on/off sound which come when the phone is plugged for charging.
Now i have to keep the phone on vibrate mode and it does not go in lock mode ( display is always on )
After searching on internet i found that this problem is faced by three to four persons and the problem is related to battery port malfunction and hard reset will not solve the problem. no other information is available on internet
As i am in India and the phone is not launched and supported here cant give it to service center. Please if any one is having any solution,
it will be of great help
have you tried flashing it?
Sent from my OMNIA7 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
few days back i have flashed Mango RTM is this problem is related with it?
please let me know if you have any solution
it is a hardware problem ... my phone does the exact same thing b/c i guess i must have been too rough with it ... part to replace it is:

Oh, so the bluetooth That doesn't works without wifi enabled is a construction problem? Damn it! If I sent it to assistance they'll change it with a brand new?
Same happening here after one year of use....
It's quite annoying.
Besides the "moving pin from wall" is absolutely bogus for me, I actually disassembled and tryed pushing/pulling every part of the usb socket and everything remains the same. I can barely get it charged poking and proding it randomly. It charges for a couple minutes, then the looping returns.
I really can't figure WHAT pin users pushed into WHAT "wall" to make this supposed fix so easy...

Feeling smart?Help me solve this..

So the problem is the following: my nex 4 has suddenly stopped charging..it was 2 days ago.The strange part is that when the system runs i can't charge the phone. It looks like the phone recognizes that i put the usb cable into it,but it shows the no charging sign on the battery history menu point (and the battery is discharging). And the twist is: when the phone is fully off and i put the usb into it it charges normally(white accu on black screen)but as soon as i turn on,it stops.
I did hard reset many times...Im on stock 4.3(unlocked bootloader,no root)
I changed the cable.No progress
I use a converter cause here in Hungary we have a two pin system, but this is nothing cause it has always worked.
Btw,the phone runs normally.
Any ideas?
First,I would like to get a solution, not a "RMA it answer",it would be the last option.
Thank you for your time.
My first thought would be to try a wireless charger.

If you have tried a full hard reset then its probably a hardware issue, not a software one. Try a different charger anyways, that could be it. Or like you've said, RMA or if your feeling brave you can open the phone up to see if anything battery related is loose/disconnected

You can try. Ring up google in hungary and see if they will do it. Otherwise you would have to find someone you know in the uk to return it.
One other thing, have you tried charging from a pc, not the mains? You could try that

Hi, I Do think the converter does not meet the specifications, if your device is off it generates just enough power to trigger the charge-regulator in your nexus4 and the phone is charging; if it is switched on, the phone drains so much power from your battery and/or charging unit that there is not enough voltage/mA-Load to switch the charge-regulator in your nexus4 to "On". The power provided by a converter is no sinus wave, it has irregular spikes and waves and this might over the time-being has "weakened" your Nexus- Charger or the charging controller in your phone.. Try another converter/charger combination if possible with a converter with pure sinus-wave output.
By "Hard reset" do you mean a "factory reset"?
I have an issue when the phone temporarily stopped charging, but it was a particular rom.
You can try buying a charging board replacement from ebay: http://www.ebay.com/sch/?_nkw=nexus%204%20usb%20charging%20replacement

This. If you just went into settings and hit factory reset, it just wipes data, not the system. Try downloading the google images (Or wait for the KitKat OTA)

Charging touchscreen issue

Hi,
I had received my Moto X Play on 21st November. Right from the first day i started having an issue. Whenever i put my phone on charge and use it the touchscreen goes wonky. It registers some touches and misses the others and typing is a pain. Swiping and sliding also results in accidental touches and something i dont want to open, opens up.
Now, initially i though it was an issue with the plug point in my room. But i tried it everywhere in my house and office and had the same problem. (Note: I was using the charger provided in the retail box). I even connected it to my Xiaomi power bank and had the same issue. I used a Samsung charger and had the same issue again. The phone is working perfectly otherwise.
Could this be a charger issue or an issue with the phone itself? HELP GUYS!

Reset to factory settings. Do not install any apps. If it keeps happening, it's a faulty touchscreen that should be replaced.

Wait, is it a bad thing if the touchscreen does random stuff only when you try to use it whilat charging on a different brick?
I use a Sony Xperia Z3 brick to charge the phone more slowly...
I remember it does adjust and then work flawlessly, but honestly I can't say this happens everytime with 100% confidence as I don't really use it while charging.
ONLY while charging, don't know about original brick.

From my own expirience i can safely say, that while charging the touchscreen does react more slowly and it does some random stuff. I would say that it is some isue in device construction as when i tried to meassure voltage on devices metal frame i was able to measure around 600mV on it. I am always using original charger and the same thing was also happening on my previous Mi A1. Also if you are charging a phone and you rub your finger litly on its metal frame you can feel a small vibration (due to the voltage on it.)
