Question Display white blanace is broken - "reverse nightmode" - Nothing Phone 1

Hi,
is the "Cool Color Temprature" slider greyed out on your phone, too?
My phone seems to be stuck in a inverted nightmode. In daylight the screen turns full yellow (aka nightmode) even though its disabled in the setting.
As soon as I put my finger on the lightsensor or it gets dark the screen turn to a normal white/blue ...
Do you guys have any ideas on how to fix this?
Did a full resett, safe mode and tried all possible combinations in the settings.

Sorry removed my comment due to wrong thread...

Solved it.
Resetted it again and skipped the "recover settings" part in the backup. The pixel software put some strange parts of code into the np1

Touch keys light missing

Hi folks!
I've got an annoying, but not that tragic issue with my s7edge.
The touch keys (back and recent apps) light is missing.
What's funny - when I reboot the phone and the phone boots up - they DO light up, but after few seconds the light goes away.
Moreover - if I change the delay of its light in Settings (yes, I know I can change the settings of this light) - for example, to 1,5 sec - they DO light up for 1,5 sec but then the light again goes away.
In short - the light should work everytime I touch the phone screen, but in fact - it only works for few seconds when I am changing its settings.
Maybe I'm an ignorant and there is some option in the custom kernels that keeps the lights off? Like some battery saving feature or something?
I have tried disabling all Xposed modules, changing ROMs (now I am using KingROM), kernels (now using SuperKernel) - with no effect. I cannot remember if the light were shining on the stock ROM, as I had it only for few days.
Or maybe I am just super stupid, because this is intentionally changed by custom ROM developers?
Is there anyone with the same issue? Or maybe there really is some stupid settings that I should simply change? As I have previously said - I DO know about the settings of the delay for the light of touch keys - it doesn't change anything.
Thanks!
No one?
Try this app if it can solve your problem:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.notquiteinsane.galaxybuttonlights&hl=en
Unfortunately, it works similar to the original settings - when I change the duration, the lights do light up for (for example) 3 seconds, but then they would turn off and never light up again (until I change the settings again).
It seems like something's broken in the ROM I am using, but no one else using this ROM (and the previous one I had) have experienced this issue. This is strange!
Oh Lord, I just totally accidentally have found the solution... The thing I had to do was to disable "one touch mode" in Accessibility Settings... Few months with this issue and the solution was so easy :E

Samsung S5 901F - Green flickering screen

Hello
My S5 randomly began flickering with a green screen to the point where I was unable to use my screen. It seems to happen a lot especially when I have the "Auto Brightness" feature on and when it's in a low light environment
I didn't drop the phone , and i tried many solutions , wipe data partition , change the ROM ( to official )
but no solution solve it
PS: I can't make a link from youtube explain my problem by video , but you can search on youtube " Samsung S5 Green flickering screen " to know what exactly the problem is !
cause of this error

yes that's happened often and the phone unlock without any problem, but sometimes the green flickering won't let me unlock the phone
This is a common problem with AMOLED displays. At a certain point when auto brightness or you manually turn the brightness down, the low power involved makes the screen flicker. Try turning off auto brightness and adjusting the sloder until it stops flickering, then you can use apps like Pixel Filter and/or the xposed module Screen Filter to further darken the screen to save battery.

This is a hardware failure. The fix is change screen which can cost as much as a new phone. There are several youtube videos showing that applying hot guns can fix the problem

LED notification light not working

A day or 2 ago, my notification light has stopped working on my Samsung Galaxy s8
I tried restarting the phone and turning the LED indicator option in settings on and off. It doesn't seem to help or fix it.
I wonder if i should return the phone since its still in warranty and get a replacement because charging the phone works but LED doesn't show it's charging like that red dot on top of the phone.
Could somebody help please.
Thank you, Kenny

Hi there, easy to diagnose.
Go to the phone dialer and dial this: #*0*#
A debug menu will appear, click the LED button (middle right).
It should light up the LED, click the screen to cycle between colors.
If this works correctly, then the issue is software/misuse/app conflict/whatever.
If it does not work correctly, then your LED needs servicing/repair.

There is a long discussion on this subforum about the LED issue, did you use any LED control applications?
Seems like something is killing the LEDs.
Just for future reference.

Hey ye i have had a look at the discussion in this sub forum and no i wasn't any sort of LED applications.
So i guess its my bad luck on getting a partial faulty device :/
Id assume its a hardware peoblem since they said reflashing the older firmware didn't work.
Thank you
(This was double posted from the main LED thread, don't know how to delete it, but it may help anyway)
To contribute to the discussion:
- there are some apps that only work in certain colors. For instance, Whatsapp is working with blue, but no other colors. I may have seen it blink once for another color, then never more.
- all apps using blue are working
- I have an app that is originally set to blink LIGHT blue and it is doing so.
- Telegram manages to blink pinkish
- charging is Red
- Fully charged is green (but again, green is not working on Whatsapp).
Looks like a software thing.

OnePlus 5 screen tint problem. Please help.

My OnePlus 5 has a slight red tint on the bottom half of the screen which is especially noticeable on white background at high brightness.
What's weird is though when I watch a video on YouTube even for just 30 seconds or so the tint disappears.
It comes back after 5-10 seconds though like color settings get changed or something.
Does that mean if I use an app like kcal to calibrate the display and make the tint go away?
I only ask because I know next to nothing about rooting and I don't wanna screw anything up.
I think you turned night mode on then the screen gets an red tint.

Not yet. I'll root after the 8.0 ota.
Strange that happens only on few users did you place a ticket on OnePlus Support?

No because it's a defective AMOLED issue I guess. I would have just returned it if I had noticed it before. Hopefully I can make it less annoying using kcal.

Oled problem?

Hi, I moved from OG pixel to pixel 4 and noticed that screen has problem. On 100% on brightness when opening totally black picture screen is not totally turned off and when touching it screen greys out a bit. Is it bug or hardware issue?
Can anyone check it on own device?

I have noticed the following: When screen brightness is 50% or less and I touch the screen such as typing on keyboard, the screen flashes very slightly on every tap. It feels like the screen draws too much power and battery is low. I went to Verizon store to check display unit and it did the same thing. Maybe your issue is similar

I didn't contact Google because the store model had the same thing. I just tried to troubleshoot what could be causing it and seems that when I disable "smooth display" in settings>display and then tried to reproduce the issue by typing on the keyboard and the screen doesn't seem to flicker anymore.
Try to disable the setting on your phone and see. This might be a software issue then.
I found similar thread(you are probably on it too) on Google community site and replied to that thread: https://support.google.com/pixelphone/thread/22331033?hl=en

You are right I disabled smooth display and it stopped flickering but there is one more thing when brightness is on 100% and opening totally black picture I can notice little lightning of the screen in corners it means that pixels are not going off like it should be on oled screens. Could you please check it also?
It could be checked only in the dark daytime it's not noticable

Alright, I found a black image with only a small moon in the middle. Did the test on 100% full brightness but don't see any pixels on the screen. Check my image(attached) and compare.

Yes, of course. I turned off the lights. I have seen issues where some phones had some light seeping through(light bleed) at some edges. Is that what you see?

It is difficult to understand anything from the picture. Try some display test apps. Check to see if you have something installed such as 3rd party theme or an app that interferes with the display of your phone. Also if you can compare your phone with the one from the store.

If it is in the corner(s) then it is light bleed. The screen is good and it is just some screen backlight being seen through the frame. At least this is how I understand your situation from my previous experience.
