Google pay services loop - Samsung Galaxy S8 Questions and Answers

Hello, I'm trying to update my UK Samsung Galaxy S8 950F to Android 12, the problem i have is I'm stuck on the Google services options page "back up/free up space/use location etc.." it keeps looping on this page until the app crashes. I'm using the guide on this page https://www.droidwin.com/install-android-12-rom-and-twrp-on-galaxy-s8-s8-plus/ Any ideas why i can't move past that page ?
Well third time's the charm, working now (no idea why)

Got a new issue, having never done this before i've cocked up my backup, i used smart switch (samsung software) and it didn't occur to me that my Samsung phone wouldn't be recognized with stock android firmware. the app wants me to sign in to samsung but i can no longer do it ? am i buggered ?

[Q] Pac on Samsung Galaxy S1 captivate problems

ME: I am a phone idiot, my first cellphone at all was last fall and I don't know anything, so apologies in advance if I say dumb things because everything is new to me including smartphones themself.
THE PHONE: AT&T unlocked Samsung Galaxy S1 i897 Captivate, not currently activated/no SIM if that matters. Trying to insure it works rooted on kit kat without bricking BEFORE getting the phone back into service.
THE ROM: pac_captivatemtd-nightly-20150124
FWIW i tried kingo-root and it didnt work despite supposing to, used something called Odin v1.85 instead. Flashed I897UCKF1-AutoRoot-DesignGears.tar for Odin, and something called CornKernel UCKK4v705.tar for custom recovery.. Then the Pac-man ROM. I'll note with interest it refused to see the SD card on reboots, had to use internal storage. Didn't quite understand what to do with the gapps [which it wont let me link here i see] fwiw other than copying it onto the phone somewhere. All reboots seem to get back to a working install - but then I can't do anymore more with it.
It accepts wifi login stuff for local connection but I cant get it to log into the Google Play store stuff. I get "unable to connect to google servers", the button to connect to the google account doesn't work/you can hit it a hundred times and it does nothing until you skip past it, and comments about google services framework crashing, google play services crashing, google account manager crashing...
How do I start narrowing down where the problem is, is this about Pac Man rom or the GAPPS or something for a samsung captivate-specific subforum?

Stuck at connecting to google servers and problem by initial setting of device

Hello everyone! I have a rooted Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime SM-G530H 4.4.4, it works more than a year ok but there was a unexpected error of google services few days ago, then I tried each tipp mentioned in forum here by members, clear caching google services etc..., it doesn't repare the problem then as last choice by members here; I flashed my device with stock ROM from sammobile.com... then again rooted the device but after short time there is the same problem, also I flashed an other region custom ROM, there was good but after inserting SD-Card (the same cards that they were in device) and SIM Card then restarted the device, again the same problem:
"Google Text-To-Speech stopped unexpectedly", "google services stopped unexpectedly" message appeared then the same for youtube, and all google services before I can complete the device setting after resetting factory, I choose the language of device then I connect to a router then when it asks for gmail account, if I sign up or sign in, "can't connect to google services" message appears again...
In result I can not complete the device setting after reset factory...
Are there tipps, thx for any help

How to unlock FRP mode

Hey
Long story short girl friend of mine was given an old j5 and the dude did not remove the passcode.
I just did a straight up factory reset from stock recovery like a moron and when i tried to flash CF Auto root it said that it was FRP locked.....
Read somewhere you could flash stock firmware and that would fix it, downloaded some random language firmware from sammobile (its the j5 j500h/ds version), first a german firmware, then a russian one, but both prompted to login with a google account that has previously been used on the device, as this is not possible im kinda stuck here.
Whats the easiest way to get around this so i can get to play with some custom firmware soon?
Okay quick update #hackerman
Through what is done in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TZnfrHECjqA i managed to unlock the device, pain in the ass with a lot of back and forth but did it succesfully in the end, i did have to do things tiny bit diffrent but mostly his steps.
Should work for any samsung phone from what i understand.
To help others i will list the extra steps i did.
In the video the guy has UC browser installed by default on the phone which is uncommon.
The two default browsers on my phone, stock android browser and chrome dont have a "downloads" tab.
What i did was that when i plugged in the phone and had sidesync installed on the PC it prompted me for the Browsers on the phone but also for the Galaxy app store, i simply downloaded the UC browser through the galaxy app store and the followed the steps in the video.

"This device was reset" Cannot use older ATT galaxy S7 Edge. Solutions?

Hello all.
I recently received a used at&t Galaxy S7 (variant SM-G935A) that hadn't been used in over a year, and was looking forward to using it, when I encountered this message:
"This device was reset, To continue, sign in with a google account that was previously synced on this device"
I tried numerous sign in's all to no avail, and the previous owner doesn't even remember the password, (Probably why I was given this phone) so now I am stuck with a beautiful looking brick. They said that had done a "factory reset" So I assumed it would be blank and that I could sign in with my google account, but that is not working.
It dawned on me that this may be a case of going back to the trenches and using ODIN panel, but I haven't done that in years.
Does anyone know how to overcome this problem? Can I flash the firmware with ODIN?
thanks!
PM
If you still know the person, they don't have to remember the password at the time, they just have to be able to log into the account. Do they still use the same google account?
Hi, yes there is a way.
You need three things:
1 - a Combination firmware for your S7 (basically, a kind of dev firmware)
2 - Odin
3 - The original Firmware
You can find several tutos on Youtube for it.

Second option, i've recovered mine using a procedure with a simcard with a pin code. It worked and i didnt have to flash any firmware.

Altered S8 and google pay

I recently flashed the twrp and stock rom to my samsung galaxy s8 but when i start google pay and try to add a card it tells me that the device may be rooted or altered. Online I discovered that the cause could be the fact that in the playstore it reports that the play protect certificate is not present. So I tried to register my ID on the google registration page but with no results. If anyone has a solution I would be grateful.
Fixed turning off OEM unclock
