Full Spotify App - Amazon Echo

Hi all,
I'm looking for a smart alarm clock for my kids where they can select themselves songs in spotify without using their voice or another device.
As far as I can see neither the Amazon, nor the google nest, lenovo or xiaomi smart alarm clocks can provide a full spotify experience, like searching for tracks on the device (e.g. a specific audio book chapter etc...)
Are you aware if a device is available which can provide the fully spotify experience in a 5-8 inch touch screen device (running Android)?
Thanks in advance,
Dary
P.S: I don't mind to apply another firmware or any kind of modification to get this done

Music controls not appearing in the lock screen

I have a problem with my lock screen.
I went to the notification center and gave Lock screen permisions to all my music apps. I say all because I've been testing several to be sure it's not the app fault.
the apps are: jetAudio, Music (the default huawei one), Black Player, Phonograph, Podcast Addict, Pulsar, Rocket Player and Spotify.
All of them have all the permissions possible (lock screen, Banners, status bar) and so far the only one that has the music controls properly working is the default music app and Spotify (both with the exact same UI, I mention this because I don't know if this is how is supposed to be seen).
I don't know what to do.
I'm running Nova, in a VNS-L31. If you need any additional info just name it.
Thanks in advance.

First things first, EMUI is made that way so you can't enable music controll on lockscreen for third party apps.
Second, you are running Nova (launcher?), that doesn't have anything to do with the ROM...
To have lockscreen controls you will need to flash a third party ROM (eg. LineageOS by @Meticulus), (not EMUI). But as i can see, you are pretty new to the Android thing, so i wouldn't recommend it.
thanks for your answer.
I put all the information I could think of, in order to make your task helping me easier.
Yes I am quite new. I've only rooted a nexus 5 and it was with a program that did almost everything for me. Nexustools or something like that....
Seems to me that probably for music screen controls maybe it's too much hassle. although it's not my favourite I guess I will stick with the default music app.
Just one more question, when huawei rolls out the update to Emui, it probably will keep working the same way, won't it?
Thanks again mate
In Firmware Finder --> Tweaker (Test) --> Set music player to keyguard
It works good on P9 lite with Android 6.0 ...
I didn't test it with Nougat.

Bluetooth Music Apps?

Hi, I recently purchased an Android head unit for my truck. It's great, but the Bluetooth music app is pretty basic. It does not let me navigate through albums, artists or playlists. It will only let you listen to and skip through the songs on the album that's currently playing on the phone, which is a big pain. I don't want to have to touch the phone when I want to put on a different album.
Are there any apps in the Play Store that would work for this? Or can anyone direct me to an APK that I can download from somewhere else that has a deeper feature set?
Thanks in advance for any help you can give!
After a year later, do you find any compatible bluetooth music player app? I'm interested in the same
I'm guessing not, I have just purchased a head unit, and am looking for something better, but nothing's coming up in the searches.
It's one of the things that I would have expected to work as my last car could do all that on its wince based system, which was pretty limited in other respects.

Bluetooth Media player App (for Headunit)

Hi all,
I have installed an Android 7.1 headunit in a car, I have replaced most of the default apps, but one I am struggling with is the Bluetooth media app. The Default app on the HU allows me to play music from my phone, but it has only 3 buttons on it, play/pause, forward and back, it doesn't give any track information, or have any visual indication that music is even playing, the device does support A2DP (and so does the phone).
I thought it would be very easy to find a media player that does this, but it seems not, now I realised, this app is very rare, its not usual for an android app to be receiving the stream, normally it would only send the stream. So wondering if anyone has found an app that can do it?
Also has anyone else ever replaced the default FM radio app on a headunit? I believe its not possible because its customised to the specific hardware but I am interested to look for an alternative to this aswell (current one has a bad interface and doesn't save stations if power is lost)

Also looking for this! anyone?
Bluetooth App
I completely agree. I just got an 8.0 head unit from Pumpkin ( px5). The BlueTooth App seems pretty basic:
1) sound quality is noticeably lower
2) app is buggy -- after a call, which was ended, the green call icon stayed in the lower right corner until I did a reset of the unit
3) no info about what is being streamed
4) UI of the app is really plain - not much color, etc.
Is this open source somewhere?
Same question here....
Waiting also!!

View smartphone playlist on smartwatch

Hi, I have searched everywhere on the net, asked (neck-scratching) people in shops and have not been able to find information about it, though it seems a fair enough feature to ask for:
Is there a smartwatch out there on which you can view and scroll in a music playlist on a SMARTPHONE (not the watch itself) and select tracks on that playlist + control the volume, fast forwards/backwards, etc. there (on the phone)?
Perhaps it is a quetion of installing the right app on the watch and/or phone? I would really appreciate some help on that. The watch wouldn't have to be fancy in anything else, could be basic, though it would be nice if it were not too big. I want to use it to play music on the phone for dance classes. The phone would be connected to a stereo system.
Cheers

Internet media player (spotify, apple music, google music, etc). Which one?

Hi guys, i'm looking for an online music player but can't figure out whats the best version displayed on chinese head units. Apple music is slow, icons are small, takes many clicks to play, search does not show partial results as you type (like on the phone).....all those make it hard to use while driving.
Spotify is also strange, has small icons, even on premium you can;t simply play what you save it always adds other stuff or skips to other songs.
how are your experiences with those, what do you recommend for driving? are there any special or older versions that have a better UI for our headunits? thanks

Your description of Spotify doesn't sound right. I have Spotify installed on 3 different vehicles with Android head units, and I have no problem with playing my playlist the same way I saved it. Are you sure you didn't forget to log into your account on your head unit?
Now, I used to have a problem with Spotify in the car wanting to play what it thinks was the last thing played on my phone. Sometimes it would show a pop up and ask me which source I wanted to play from, and others it would just play from the phone instead of the head unit, or switch to the phone in the middle of playing a playlist from the head unit. Even disabling the option where it shouldn't try to play from other sources didn't help. I am thinking it was a Spotify app bug, because it doesn't do it anymore.
I like YouTube music as most. I have a Premium Account and it works like a charm. It is also controllable through Google Maps and Waze. I like it.

I use Spotify also and I am happy with it although some of the buttons can be small and hard to press.
There is an Auto/Car UI you can switch to. It will auto switch also I believe. I turned it off so has been awhile since I've seen it.
