Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 (ZB631KL) Stuck on Asus Logo, trying everything to work it out - Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 Questions & Answers

Hello everyone,
Just spent 10 hours on active study on everything related to this issue and this is my last move.
This device is stuck on ASUS logo, i can't unlock bootloader, so i cant install TWRP on it.
The only way he goes is to CS Fastboot, but its also a dead end.
Im able also to reach "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008" on it, so i tried to flash room it using QFIL, but at the end it say "Sahara Fail".
There some kind of help on it?

thats a dead forum right? a dead environment

Blackscreen / Qualcomm HS-USB QDLloader 9008

Hey guys,
finally i bricked my phone...
After a failed flash to TWRP recovery and a failed unbrick with fastboot, the phone won't start. Blackscreen. Only in device manager it show's "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008". Is there any chance to unbrick or should i get a new mainboard?
PS: Sorry for my bad english, im from Germany
Thank you in advance

@JaDaKiZz welcome to the party - read this http://www.reddit.com/r/lgg2/comments/2p5xei/the_lg_g2_is_unbrickable_a_story_of_death_and/ and let me know if you need any help. The MOST IMPORTANT thing you need to do is figure out the right KDZ for your phone.
Use http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/csmg/b2c/client/auth_model_check2.jsp?esn=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
replace xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx with your IMEI

Asus zenfone max Z010D hardbrick help

Yesterday when I updating my Asus zenfone max Z010D my phone hard brick. Nothing show, not indicating led, not charging, not going to bootloader.not going to recovery. The main thing is that I download ota updates zip from Asus website and flash from stock recovery. When I connect zenfone max to PC, in device manager show qualcomm hs-usb qdloader 9008 driver. And when I google, then I known that I need service ROM which can flashed through Qfil tool.
So, can you give me service ROM so that I fixed this problem.
Please not this is not battery problem. Its os problem. Sorry for my bad English and thanks.
sorry

That is the offline charging bug caused by the hardware's reverse charging feature. No solution to date so be careful to not let the battery go below 20% without charging.
Reboot into Fastboot / CSC mode ( vol up + power) and plug the charger. Let it charge for 10-15 mins then reboot.
sir please help me i have already a reverse charging popup problem i try to change the os to solve the bug please any other option
Hello, I had a very little progress. I gave up about my asus zenfone max a year ago but glad that now looks like there's a hope in reviving my phone. I was able to download the right files to flash with QFIL. Most people here say that their PC detected QUALCOMM HS-USB QDLOADER 9008 but mine detect it as QUALCOMM HS-USB DIAGNOSTICS 9006. Due to excitement, I flashed it anyway and it created some memory partition on my hard drive whenever I plug the phone but QFIL gave me an error of :
** Download Fail: Switch To EDL Fail Failed to switch to Emergency Download Mode
I tried to google this error, some encountered it and was able to get a resolution by just removing the battery before plugging it in but our zenfone is with non removable battery. I have no luck yet. Anyone got suggestions ?

Where do you get the right files? Could you post them?
Hi guys, I'm in really trouble.
I've got an Asus z010d and I think is hardbricked.
Screen is totally black, no vibrations, no recovery mode, nothing.
The only thing that I've done is to see it via QFIL like the image attached.
I've read some guides around the internet, for restore the device via QFIL with a stock rom, but I not able to get a single rom that has rawprogram0.xml and patch0.xml files that the program need...
I state that I am not a big expert.
Iif anyone knows how to help me, I can also pay him for the right assistance.
Thanks in advance.

So, I side loaded build no. 13.8.26.76 to my phone, not knowing that it was meant only for the snapdragon 410 counterpart (mine is 615 one). It installed successfully until I rebooted and phone stayed dead. I think I hard bricked it
No logo, no charging, can't enter recovery or fastboot. No nothing... Connected device to PC, and windows doesn't recognize it.

Check my post for detailed instructions. And yes, I did face that issue and fixed it by reinserting the battery. It's a bit risky, but worth a try. Try watching some YouTube teardown videos

It's on my profile. I haven't mentioned the disassembly part since it was not required in general cases. Check my profile for the detailed instructions
Hey Man. I'm currently working on my phone. I already tried removing the battery but I'm still getting the error:
Download Fail: Switch to EDL Fail.
hopes are going narrow. Now I don't know what to do.

If you're having trouble with QFIL, best thing to do is uninstall Qualcomm drivers, reboot, reinstall, try again. Repeat until you can flash without problem.
I had to uninstall many times. Don't lose hope. It takes a lot of effort
hey Sree. I noticed that it is being detected as Qualcomm HS-USB diagnostics 9006. So what I did is I forced driver to install Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008. I'm now having a Sahara error. I'll try reinstalling drivers but I have a quastion. Does QFIL version matter ?

I don't know. I used the latest one. Try the version linked in my original post. Also, of you're getting sahara fail, it's ok. You're on right track. Uninstall driver, reboot and reinstall. It'll take hell a lot of tries, but will work eventually

assistance needed

i attempted to root my zte maven 3 with zpst for at&t and when the device went to restart the screen stayed black and no matter what key combinations i try i cannot get the screen to turn on. The only thing the phone does is connect to the pc and makes that connection noise. it connects as Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008. does anyone have any advice or suggestions that might help
Did you make any partition backups in QFIL by any chance? If not, I have no idea how one would go about fixing it. What's your bootloader version? I can try to give you my partition backups and you can try flashing it and seeing if it'll boot.
Tbh I should write my own rooting guide, because the existing methods are, quite frankly, ****ty and dangerous. To anyone reading this, please open QFIL and make a backup of all of your device partitions before messing with anything; this is basically creating a bit-for-bit backup of the storage itself, such as the persist partition, userdata, system, etc. I had to buy a for-parts Maven 3 from eBay because I bricked my Maven 3 using the same guide...
And don't use ZPST from now on. You don't need it. Everything can literally be flashed as a partition in QFIL easily. This is how I safely flashed a Magisk boot image (partition) and half-working TWRP recovery partition.

Your device is in EDL mode. It's the only mode that connects as Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008, and EDL mode doesn't display anything on your device screen. Just take the battery out for a second and you should be able to boot normally.
I'm going to post a new thread in this forum as soon as I send this, where I'll run down the steps I took to achieve root on my Maven 3 just this morning. I've powered off and booted up about 5 times since rooting and it's still rooted.
I have edl mode no boot no screen no lights, what do do next. I tried removing battery no luck

I am unsure of what you can do because iirc i faced the same issue. I have full partition dumps for my current maven 3, some of which (except for example persist) I can send and you can try flashing it using QFIL since your device sounds like it's in EDL mode
