Is it possible to unlock this with 15.04 firmware?
Maybe I need to downgrade? Pointing in the right path will be nice

I tried official and unofficial ways and cannot unlock my bootloader. I also tried to downgrade using the files available in Asus support page, but it don't work too.
Someone can help us in unlocking in Android 8 or help us with the downgrade? All the links to stock RAW files available around here and in 10 pages of google search are broken...

@CharlesDicken Look at the Support page from Asus site and download the most recent Unlock Tool. (0819-1438_SIGNED_UnlockTool_9.2.0.0_200807_fulldpi_ZE552KL.apk). With this version, I was be able to unlock my Zenfone 3 and proceed with TWRP, Magisk and root in the end.

Do I need to first update to EMUI oreo rom with project treble to flash aosp oreo rom? I am still on normal recovery but I did unlock bootloader. With Honor 5X we had to always update official or beta rom to next Version before attempting to go to next version aosp/ custom rom version.

I figured out how to unlock my Mate SE or any other Huaei device without the need of contacting support or their Unlock page that no longer exists!

Admin, please move is this is not the correct place for this question.
I recently got this phone, I managed to unlock the Bootloader and flash TWRP, but that is about as far as I got in my dreams to update this phone to Oreo.
I just cannot find the firmware for this phone, not even just to flash the OEM recovery.img back onto the phone.
The build nr is RNE-L02C759B141. Huawei Nova 2i
I'm in New Zealand
I can get tons of RNE-L02 firmwares but nothing with the C759 variant?
Can anyone help explain to me how this works, is it posible to flash one of the other RNE-L02xxx variants and how do you do this. I've tried the dload sdcard upgrade, but it keeps failing.

Have you tried the Firmware Finder utility?
Btw, you need a bootloader unlocking code at first. But it seems that Huawei has closed its official web page for these unlocking codes.

Hi James. I downloaded full ota for my nova 2i. Is full mens full firmware? How do i flash 3 zip files i downloaded?
Found a bootloader unlocking app, from the official ASUS site...Anyone tried this out? Does it work fine, i still have a locked bootloader, chek this if it really works cause its given by ASUS official site!

X00TDB Unlocked and fastboot not working
I unlocked my X00TDB using the official apk and now none of the fastboot flash commands are working. I was aiming on replace the official firmware (339) with LineageOS but I'm not even able to flash twrp after the unlock. Any ideas?

No...AFAIK you won't be getting any more ota updates even if you relock or switch to stock
Hello this is for asus zenfone max pro m1. idk if someone will still see this but, i downloaded the official apk unlock tool from asus how do i unlock nootloader with it? All tutorials ive seen they dont use an apk file type thats why im confused. Also where do you download the driver to install in pc? Ive downloaded the intel one. You can but all data will be deleted serach on google you will find fastboot rom and method to do that

Get 340 rom file from asus site, unlock bootloader , install twrp nd jst flash 340 rom

I'd like to install for the very first time a custom ROM on my phone, a Zenfone Max Pro M1 (ZB602KL).
LOS for microG seems what I need, but before starting I spent some time reading the official LOS wiki and the XDA forum, and now I'm a bit confused...
The LOS wiki (https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/X00TD/install) says I have to use the official ASUS tool to unlock the bootloader, but a post on the XDA forum says "If you have unlocked bootloader officially then even after relocking bootloader the OTA functionality does not work. Asus server blacklist your phone serial number and imei so you can't receive any OTA".

Also I assume instructions for X00TD are "compatible" with my ZB602KL, is that correct?

You're right, unofficial unlock involves using the fastboot commands script and OTA still works that way. Search and try different recovery versions to see if they fit your need.
