Thoughts and plans as an OPPO Find X5 Product Ambassador! - OPPO Find X5 Pro General

Hello, fellow community members, my name is Ankit Gondalia and I'm one of the official ambassadors for the OPPO Find X5.
First of all, I would like to thank the @OPPO Ambassador Team for making this possible and providing me with this great opportunity to test out their latest Find X5 smartphone.
OPPO has been doing an incredible job in the tech industry when it comes to hardware. From it's foldable phone to it's retractable camera phone, their hardware last year has been beautiful and they continue to push forward this year as well with Find X5 series having their own custom MariSilicon X Imaging NPU & Hasselblad Collaboration.
Now as an OPPO Ambassador, my plan is to share thoughts and opinions on the device in a very simple and presentable way so that it helps the readers get to know better about the device.
I will be sharing my thoughts here in this thread and also on my Twitter account. Will try my best to share an unbiased and detailed review. Feel free to ask anything specific about the device and I'll try my best to help.
Excited to test out the new OPPO Find X5 smartphone. Thank you.

OnePlus marketing strategy? (Anyone interested on being interviewed?)

Hey Guys!
I am writing dissertation about OnePlus marketing and their marketing strategy. My research is focused on consumer decision making process, the tipping point theory (invitational model of oneplus) and I am looking 3-5 people to interview. It doesn’t matter if you love or hate your OnePlus, all feedback is appreciated.
I am conducting the interviews on skype (only voice, no need for video communication), or if you are in Barcelona I can also meet you. I have no rewards to give to the participants, except the change for us to network and who knows in future do business together.
If anyone of you would be interested on having a quick chat on OnePlus, I would highly appreciate it. Also all the feedback about OnePlus and their marketing is highly appreciated.

I can't do the Skype but please see my experience with OnePlus service below:
I have recently ordered several One Plus Two accessories from OnePlus. They sent the wrong items in the two packages that I ordered. I called their Help Line and had to wait for half an hour for someone to pick up the call. I also tried the Online Chat and my number was simply skipped over.
When someone from the OnePlus Support Line eventually answered my call, I was told to send photos and my issue would be given high priority. A ticket was opened for me and I replied with photos attached. No reply after a day so I called again and was told that my issue has now been given top priority and was asked to wait for 48 hrs for reply. After 36 hrs, there was still no reply so I called again and was told they couldn't get through to their logistic department.
As I needed to use the item immediately on my new phone, I re-ordered the item that was not sent in the original package while waiting for OnePlus to sort out the problem. That item was issued with a tracking number that Royal Mail (post office in the UK) can't recognise with the comment that it's a wrong number. I called the OnePlus Support Line and was told she couldn't get through to the Logistic Department but Royal Mail can't track item less than 500g. I then called Royal Mail and was told that items less than 500g CAN be tracked.
OnePlus then replied to my ticket to ask me to post photos again and showed me photos examples of DHL packaging with the delivery note. The thing is, Royal Mail packaging is different and it doesn't have delivery note. I can't produce the DHL package and delivery slip when they sent the items to me by Royal Mail.
Really terrible service. They have no idea how to provide service to developed countries. I have yet to use my new One Plus Two phone. I am waiting for the accessory (that never arrived) to start using my phone. Having read a few comments about phone defects, and with my own experiences of their terrible services, I am really worried if my phone is not working well.
If you have problem and require their service, you have to prove that they made the mistake before they will rectify it. The Support Line is very hard to get through. The instructions on the ticket are also not entirely clear. Expect a 3rd world service if you are from developed countries. Like the justice system in China, they have to be proved wrong, and wait for a long trial, before you get your justice.

Im willing to participate and help you with your marketing dissertation, I'm currently completing my marketing minor for my degree, and would love to dissect Oneplus' Marketing strategy as well, i find it very interesting.

Honor meet-up - Open floor discussion, Honor faces the crowd post sales

Hello,
On 4th August 2017, Honor called for a user meet-up at Chennai inviting Honor 8 Pro and Honor 6x users.
The primary agenda was to have a Open floor discussion seeking customer expectations and to address challenges / concerns/ issues faced by users.
Honor as a sub brand of Huawei, with its successful launch of two major devices(8 pro and 6x) looks forward to stabilize itself in the competitive Indian market.
Main take away for Honor was to address Heating issues, Customization improvements, other system inconsistencies.
Many other bugs were pointed out and I have typed out the entire session discussion and attached as a PDF.
Honor would like users to have a strong community base. They would want people signing up in https://club.hihonor.com/in/ and use that as a platform for discussions and also for pointing out to issues that needs attention.
Please participate in the poll as well. What issues do you like Honor to address in the forthcoming update?

i would like to actually see some optimisation on their EMUI -- as in providing more options, etc in some aspects. or re-organising their menu, etc...

An important thing that honor 6x doesnt have is an equilizer..the audio quality while comparing with other phones at the same price range is actualy poor..An equalizer is inevitable in an android phone..so it should be included in the next update.

My plans for you as an OPPO ambassador with the Find X5!

With this post I am first of all extremely humbled and excited to share that I have been chosen as an official OPPO ambassador for the Find X5 and would like to share my thoughts, feelings and plans!
As a tech enthusiast and content creator, my plans and goals are to share as much information with you, create comparisons, give you insights to the device and answer any questions you might have. I'll be documenting my experience here on XDA both written and with photos, alongside updates on twitter and instagram. Oppo Find X5 Ambassador: Looking Forward

Hey!
I'm new here, but not new to smartphones or the tech review scene. This will actually be my first time working with Oppo, starting with the Find X5. I review phones and other tech on my YouTube channel, TechOdyssey for almost 5 years now, and before that I spent a few years with the community review team writing articles for Mobile Nation. I was recently selected as one of the members of the Oppo Global Ambassadors program, which is exciting. Oppo has not had a presence in the U.S. market, so it will be exciting to test out the latest Oppo phones and bring my channel, experience, and perspective, to the Oppo conversation. Can't wait for my X5 series phone to show up so I can share my thoughts and reviews here, as well as on my YT channel!
