Tried rooting the COstco S6 Lite and everythign was going fine then ODIN failed to root the boot and now I am stuck on "An Error has occured while" - Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite Questions & Answers

IT says an Error Has occured while updating the device sofatware and I can't get out of it. I hold power and vol down button and just quick reboots back into the same screen even when conntected to laptop. I also move my finger from vol down to vol up while the screen is black for about a second and nope still go back to the same screen.

Try it

Can't get to download mode after "error occurred while updating device SW". s7 edge
While trying to upgrade my Claro galaxy s7 edge from android 6.0 to 7.0 using Smart Switch my phone crashed and the software got corrupted. (couldn't do it through manual/automatic update).
Now i'm stuck on the Window : "An error has occurred while updating the device software. Use the emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software". I tried both the emergency Software Recovery and Device Initialization but both failed with error "failed to run firmware upgrade unknown error occurred". Tried it in different computer, restarting both the devices, reinstalling device driver. Nth worked.
Finally i searched forums and tried to flash custom rom using ODIN. Thing is while downloading the ROM my phone went to Download mode when i pressed "Volume up" + Power + Home button but now the combination just does nothing and i'm stuck on the "An error has occured window". I tried 300k tool and also Both volume + power + slide in usb cable combo but nth happened. I tried to install custom rom through ODIN while in this window but ti fails after 2 mins too.
Also Pressing Volume down Power and home (recovery mode) brings me to this same window again and again. Just waiting for the battery to die and start anew.
Just 4 days with my phone. Any help to solve these problem are appreciated.

I am having the same issue after trying to flash updated ROM on my S8 via Odin. Process got to the end and said 'FAIL'. Following the reboot, I was stuck on the 'An error has occurred...' screen and every attempt to enter Download mode or recovery mode (By quickly switching to the volume up button in between reboots, as you stated) has failed. Smart Switch is not recognising my device either despite all the correct Samsung USB drivers being installed. Any ideas anyone?
Apologies for posting here on S7 forum but the problem is identical.
Did you ever fix this? I have the same problem now

P9 lite cannot boot up only show device is booting

Hi Masters,
Need your advice here.
My p9 lite cannot boot up and only shows your device is booting now screen.
I cannot power off even force power off, and there is no responding whatever key combinations i pushed.
The step taken to this error is I did unlock my p9 lite and tried to flash twrp by following the guide, then I cannot enter fastboot mode and recovery mode after that.
I tried take out the battery and let the phone disconnect with power supply, after i put back the battery, i push the power key it still shows same screen as your device is booting now.
Any idea how to resolve this? I assume some fatal error with the motherboard, but i can say nothing after i unlock the phone.
Your suggestion and advice are much appreciateļ¼ thank you!
I had the same problem, what I did was force power off by holding power button for ,well idk how long but until device booted down, then I held volume down and connected it to pc,so it enters fastboot, but you have to do it fast,as it will reboot once its turned off. Then I tried various twrps, revolution recovery etc,and the only one that worked was meticulus twrp.I know you said you cant force power off,but try holding power key long
Once you hold the power off button, the phone will never power off, instead, the phone will reboot and bring you to the error page "your device is booting now" and stuck there. I tried to push the power up or power down button before i see huawei logo, but it will show me the same page.
Yes,when you hold power off phone will reboot, and you have to be fast with volume down and cable.Pre-plug the cable it computer ,bring it near phone, power off and before it boots plug it in while holding volume-
thank you for your suggestion. I tried many times, no matter how quickly i am, I only able to see the device booting page. I have mentioned one point above, i did take out the battery, and i see the error screen after i put back the battery, so i assume the problem with motherboard.
How many of you did return the faulty and unlocked phone to service centre then get "free" services?

Galaxy S7 edge won't turn ON and no charging indications

Hi
My phone was stuck at black screen with blue LED light. I waited for it to drain completely, and then charge it so I can flash new firmware. I enter download mode, flash new firmware and it was a success. It restarts and then stuck again on blue screen with Android robot and some like no signal tv effects on the screen, which I think it crashed. Then I forced restart it using vol down+power and it boots up with blue screen wtih "no command" error. I tried restarting it again and it fully dies on me. It won't turn on again.
Button combinations seem not working, no charging indications.
How can I fix this?
Is it bricked? If so, changing motherboard will fix this?
Try leaving it on charge for a while. The charging light should light up. When you go in recovery, on the "no command" screen, press and hold power button and press the vol. up button. That will take you to the admin / recovery screen.
I didn't know it either and was thinking the recovery is corrupt or not working. It is actually waiting for that command from you (power+vol. up). Once in, you can navigate through the menu using vol. up and down to move and power to select an option.

I manage to get the phone working again and booted up on "No Command" screen again. Holding vol up and power doesn't work. But I manage to do download mode instead, installed new firmware and again, it crashes after Odin successfully pass it.
I attached a photo of the crash.
Btw I think it's charging now but there's no LED light.
-_- Just both this few months ago.
EDIT: also when I restart my phone using vol down, home, and power keys to restart my phone then Vol up+power+home or without home, it skips the factory reset and jumps to "No Command" again. -_-
This is hardware failure.
Go to Samsung service.

Try to flash firmware by restoring partitions with pit file, if not works after this means you have for sure hardware failure

Ok I will try that, but can you link me where can I download this pit file? thanks
Update:
I tried to downgrade it, and now I'm stuck installing updates, can't go past it. -_-
oh god, last time Lg G4 gave me headache and now my s7 edge is suffering from abnormalities too. -_-
I had this same problem, I sent the web store that I imported and I am waiting for answers, because it is still under warranty. With each passing day I see more of this problem happening, I find it very worrisome.
Its a hardware issue mate. Had this recently and changed the Mainboard. You should let it replaced if u are in warranty.

UPDATE:
After flashing different kinds of Nougat firmwares nothing happens. Charging light and key lights are dead at this point. Then I flashed some MM firmware, one of these firmware gives life back to the dead LED lights on the notification and keys but phone still can't get pass the blue screen with "erasing" or "installing updates" message. After multiple times of force rebooting it by pressing vol down+power, it booted itself to recovery mode(thanks god!) and I don't know why. Lol. Wipe cached it and factory reset and still brought me back to "erasing" or "installing updates" blue screen. Then finally, after flashing the UK stock MM, all lights came back to life. It's working fine right now and I don't think I'll update it to Android N just yet.

S7 edge stuck on "no command"

Hi
I'm new to Android and got issue when updating software
Now phone won't switch on and when connected to charger goes to no command screen
I've tried vol up home button and power but no luck
Once screen comes up with "failed to open recovery cause"
But now when screen stuck on no command I can't go to recovery at all
Any help will be appreciated

S8 not loading any kind of software up (inc TWRP)

I was installing a custom ROM when I got a screen saying Verification integrity failed. I was then given a screen saying "An error has occurred while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software" I held Power+Bixby key and Volume Down to be sent into the custom OS install screen. I was then trying to install TWRP, but when the device restarts and I hold down Volume Up, Bixby and Power Button, nothing happens and the phone is in a boot loop with the screen saying "SAMSUNG GALAXY S8 POWERED BY ANDROID"

you have to have the phone connected to a PC while performing the button press combo when it does that
