Cases compatible with Samsung Keyboard Cover? - Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 / S7 Plus Accessories

I love my S7. Love Dex. Got the Samsung Keyboard Cover ($95) deal, but cannot use it all the time because it offers very little protection. Is there a case that offers protection but can connect the pogo pin keyboard? Sorry if this an old question. I have seen the hack done on reddit.
Thanks in Advance.

Nah I recommend you get a better backpack that has protected sleeve-pocket for tablet, or get an extra soft-sleve-case for protection of your tablet during transport.

Replacement Stylus

I recently lost my stylus, at a park I think. I put the pen in my pocket instead of putting it back in my phone. That was a dumb mistake
Does anyone have a suggestion on where to buy a replacement stylus from?
Seems the price can range from 5 for $8($1.60 per Stylus) to 3 for $20($6.70 per Stylus). Is there any advantage to buying the more expensive ones or are the cheap ones just as good?
I couldn't find a thread that addressed this issue, if I missed it a re-direct would be appreciated
I've bought my replacements for my tilt at eforcity
http://www.eforcity.com/metal-stylu...-ii-chtc4550st02.html?int=efsechtxtrigos-item
they do a lot of business on ebay and carry a whole range of other stuff too. They also give you a $5 coupon for your next purchase for giving a review on reseller ratings
but there are many other sellers out there, i've seen no difference in the quality of the stylus, though I did have problems with a Nintendo DS stylus I bought from a Chinese vendor once. but then again 90% of this kind of stuff comes from china.
I am also in need of a replacement stylus, i lost my original one, the replacement i purchased seems to have a rougher tip than the original, i'm afraid it will scratch the screen.
I've seen them before in a Best Buy store, look around the phone accessories, or, if all else fails, ask someone.
Thanks for the replies.
I ordered some off ebay. 3 for $7. Seem decent enough. Weight a little more than the originals, which I think is a good thing.
All I have to do is hope the pens don't explode now
Looks Like a Good Buy, the only thing you might have to worry about is 1) the ink leaks out into the phone( i don't think the kaiser battery would generate enough heat), 2) losing the cap for the pen since it is the snap of type, can remember where i got mine from , it actually screws off first time i ever tried to use the pen side(lol). just mentioned eforcity since i bought all my cases and stuff from them, guess i didn't buy my stylus from them since they have the same type with the snap off. they sell some strange stuff at notebook.egde, i might pick up the 15 pc screwdriver set for 4.99, gotta replace the buttons on my tilt.
Me too. lost 2 stylus and now after using new finger friendly ROM since few months I dont feel need of stylus.
Unlosable stylus
Instead of getting a "stick" stylus, why not get a object that acts like a stylus? sounds like a funny riddle, but when you own one, the stick styluses do seem funny.

[Q] Bluetooth Stylus??

I recently bought a target stylus at Best Buy for 20$ and didn't find it to be as good as I thought it would be.
I was doing some research and I stumbled across this bluetooth stylus for the galaxy tab...
http://www.geeky-gadgets.com/samsung-galaxy-tab-bluetooth-stylus-29-09-2010/
Does anyone know if this would work with our a500?
Anyone have thoughts?

Did not find the specs, you want one for capacitive screen.
the stylus is capacitive, but there are sensors om the pen as well, transmitting data via bluetooth. This is why I want to know if it works, anyone can test this?
Pretty sure you'd need some driver or other software on the tab to understand the data coming from the stylus...
could I copy the drivers from the galaxy tab? I'm no dev but I think what I want to do is possible
Sure, if you can identify what the correct files are. You'll probably need some kind of IME from the tab, too.
I wouldn't have to edit a driver? Hmmmm like I said, I'm no dev but I'm good at copy and paste! Lol
I honestly don't know. You could always try one of the custom ROM's based on the tab...
We have a rom based on the tab?? Can you point me to it?
It's in the dev section. It's quite old though, might even still be a 3.0.1 version ROM...
Sweet... Thanks for the heads up. I also realized that I do not have a samsung galaxy stylus laying around lol.....
Anybody know of anybody else with a samsung galaxy stylus wanting to help me find out if this works??
This is just a stylus with a built-in Bluetooth handsfree or vice-versa if you so prefer. So Bluetooth technology in this accessory has nothing to do with character recognition, it's just for answering calls. So don't bother.
Anyway, Samsung never released it. They have released a Bluetooth-less version.
Sucks. I figured that out haha. Hmmmmm. I'm still seeking an inexpensive way to find decent handwriting via a stylus on my a500.... Any suggestions.
I'm on that quest too. Nothing good so far... iPad has much better options. uPad, for instance... I mean, software. As fow hardware, I was using a plain $3 rubber-tip stylus with a built-in ballpoint pen from China.
What about using the SAMSUNG Galaxy Note Stylus Touch S stylus with the Pen Holder Kit?
The Galaxy Note S Pen Stylus can only be used on a Galaxy Note and, perhaps, on an HTC Flyer. The tablet has to have certain touch screen hardware to be able to recognize input from such styli.
That's a pity. All the other stylii I've found or seen have to wide a tip for me to use drawing & writing apps.

I have used the bamboo stylus, alupen and a cheapo kensignton sylus I picked up at Staples (Can with a crappy pen on the other side too!)
All three are great for taking notes and such on the tablet.
I think the Bamboo has the smallest tip if you need the finer point.

[Q] Wireless Charging on S5?

Just a simple question, If I will use something like this with Galaxy S5, will it cause any kind of problems? Like overheating, damaging the battery or internal parts or anything like that or will the back cover fit properly after adding such kind of receiver?
I do have seen Samsung Back covers for wireless charging but I guess third party cases won't fit due to addition of bulk to it.
Thanks in advance.

I think, since this is made for S5, basically, it will work good at it. Or, for you just to make sure, read reviews about the product. For your own satisfaction.
Will S4 Qi adapter fit an S5?
My question is, will a S4 Qi adapter fit an S5? I've been looking at the stock Samsung S4 and S5 backplates, and the location and number of metal contacts are different. However, lots of these third-party purported S5 adapters have the same contacts as the S4.
I'm also worried that adding the adapter may mess with the water resistance. What do you guys think? I'm just impatient and don't feel like waiting for the backordered Samsung backplate (and I just bought a spigen case that may not fit).

Thank you so much for your time. --Adam
On a side note, I've found probably one of the coolest Qi charging stations I've seen. I'm buying it on Amazon as we speak.

That's something I've been worried about, as well. I'm using one of those adapters on my S4, but I think I will just get the official charging cover for the S5. One of the main reasons I'm getting the phone is for water resistance, so I don't want to find water leaking in around the camera because of the added bulk.

Keyboard

I succumbed and bought a keyboard for my 12.2. It's the Samsung one. Althought, I haven't tried any of the other third party keyboards like Logitech or Zagg; I have to admit that the keyboard truly enhances my experience with this tablet.
Typing on the keyboard is superb. I thought the on screen keyboard would suffice. I am completely wrong! Nothing beats the tactile feedback of a physical keyboard.
Moreover, this particular keyboard got some nice shortcut keys that render the need to ever touch the screen.
I wonder if anyone else have had such possitive experience with the keyboard. Any surprise trick that you discover with the keyboard?
I bought the zagg and love it. I read the logitech had issues with the tablet falling out. I still might get the Samsung one if the price comes down. I'm happy with the zagg though

Personally I prefer a separate one. Love the Logitech K810. But then I have a thing against flipcovers.

i bought and then returned the logitech cover. i wasn't happy with the fit of it, and there was a weird issue that kept me from using some of the screen. (i have a semi-recent thread about it on the accessories forum, if you're interested.) i am now considering getting the samsung cover, so i'm glad to hear that you've had a good experience with it. i have paired an amazon basics keyboard with the notepro in the past, and that worked, though it wasn't a cover (i've got the rediculously expensive belkin bookcover which i like, so i'm not in desperate need of a cover). so i'm waffling between the two. the non-cover keyboard is 19 bucks. the samsung is... considerably more.
i've tried the samsung at best buy and liked the feel of it. i especially like that you can just flip the tablet to portrait and stick it in the slot, though i would probably put a piece of sturdy cardboard behind it if i were using it that way (because i'm paranoid :silly: ).

I saw the Zagg in store, felt cheap, didn't even consider buying it. I did have the Logitech keyboard originally. It's actually a pretty descent keyboard/case. If you're looking for the best protection and don't mind the added bulk/weight, that's really the only one to go with.
I'm currently using the OEM Samsung keyboard case and I like it best for my needs. It obviously offers less protection (only screen and corners) and it's heavier than it looks. Although that does help give it a really solid feel and still a bit lighter than the Logitech. Also keeps the tablet relatively slim and portable. Not to mention, doesn't have any compatibility issues or require "workarounds" to get it to work correctly like the Logitech version does.
Either way, both are solid and well built keyboard cases, just for different purposes. I never had any issues carrying them around or installing/removing the tablet when needed.

Best S7+ case

I just put in my pre-order for the S7+, 128gb wifi only. Samsung does not have any accessories on it's web site yet but looking at the YouTube reviews so far I see the keyboard case. I have the OEM bookcase on my S4, anyone know if Sammy will have the bookcase for the S7+?
I just saw that Amazon has listed the Fintie case in two colors for the Plus. Pretty inexpensive compared to what Sammie normally charges. I also saw that Skinomi is now listing their screen protector for sale with delivery the end of the month. Starting to sound like we might not have to wait that long to get the Plus in our hands.
According to Tom's guides here are the US prices for the OEM covers:
You'll spend $199 (Tab S7) or $229 (Tab S7 Plus) for the Book Cover Keyboards, and $69 (Tab S7) and $79 (Tab S7 Plus) for the Book Cover cases.
I just picked up the Neepanda Case on Amazon for under $10. Not sure why anyone would want to pay so much more for the Samsung OEM bookcase.

Does the fingerprint sensor work with that glass? Not that it matters much, rather have protection than the fingerprint security.

Why would they create a case where the s-pen is exposed like that and also can't get a charge?

And if you store the pen using the silo inside the case to not lose it then it doesn't charge! So dumb.

Thanks, I like the sound channeling feature. Seems bulky though and no stand. I guess there is no perfect case.
Tried so many cases from Amazon. None is worth it. I know the book cover case from Samsung is overpriced but it's still by far the best. I wish Samsung retained the same design as that of the Tab S6 but this case is certainty inferior.
I originally had the Samsung book cover with keyboard and returned it, not worth it for the price even at the 50% off. I received this one 2 days ago and so far its great especially for the price. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08F2BJHFH/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_iJbDFbGE214F9
