Can't copy Google account to Galaxy Watch 4 Classic 4G with S20 Ultra bought in HK - Wear OS Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, I just got a new Galaxy Watch 4 Classic 4G (purchased in the UK) but I am having trouble copying my Google account to it. My phone is a S20 Ultra 5G (purchased in Hong Kong, SM-G9880)
In the Galaxy Wearable app, After the "Copying your accounts..." screen I get a "Couldn't copy your Google accounts" error without any extra context or information.
I have tried resetting my watch, clearing app cache/data from the Galaxy Wearable app, and restarting my phone. I have not attempted a factory reset of my phone as I don't really want to do that unless strictly necessary.
I have contacted Samsung UK support and I've been told that one of the reasons this is not working might be the lack of the "Google Mobile Services" app from my phone, as it does not appear on the list of system apps:
we highly recommend reaching our designated support team in Samsung Hong Kong so that they can also fully check if you can install/download Google Mobile Service (GMS) as this is one of the requirements for you to be able to fully use your mobile phone with your Galaxy Watch4 Classic

I could not find a way to get that installed on my phone, and I am not convinced this is the culprit anyway.
Could someone help?

I had the same issue till yesterday night, Google play services had a new update yesterday so I updated and it worked flawlessly then. try to check if it has an update in the play store, note that you won't find it with "my apps", you have to go to phone settings, apps, show system apps, google play services, scroll all the way down and click on app details in store..

How to get Google Movies tab in Market after TW update/factory reset

For those of you who have gotten the TW update, you should have access to the Movies tab in the Market. However, some of you may notice that if you do a factory reset the Movies tab will no longer show up. My guess is that it's just a minor bug with the update. Luckily you can fix this by following these steps:
1. Go to Settings>Accounts/Sync> and select your Google account and remove it
2. Now go to Applications>Manage Applications>All>Market> and tap clear data
3. Go back to your home screen and launch the Market
4. Sign-in with your Google account and accept the User Agreement
Now you should have the Movies tab in the Market
Still doesnt work :'(
Worked for me. Thanks!
I've only had my tab a couple of days and it came with TW installed, but I've never noticed Movies in the Market. Is it available here in the UK?
You have to use vpn (USA based) to rent and watch google movies outside USA.
It is working for me.

Google Play does not show all installed apps

When selecting My Apps on Google Play web site I can only see half of my apps.
I have about 250 apps installed from Google.
You able to fix market links using Titanium backup?

i encountered this problem once...
i forgot how i fixed it, probably by rebooting or logging in different google account...
Try to delete data of Google play in setting - application
then restart phone
This is on the Google Play web site, not on the phone.
I just noticed this problem too.
If you install apps via apk (eg. applications you got on xda) that Google has no record of on the play store, they won't show up.
Hey guys,
I'm having the same issues with my stock Galaxy S III. A couple of hours ago, I became 4 fresh devices directly from the Authorized dealer here where I live. I wanted to update them and set them up properly for my co-workers. I've installed 4.1.1 on all 4, with kernel 3.0.31-256827. Everything went smooth on all devices and I was really fascinating what a wonderful device that is. Afterwards I've created 4 Gmail accounts for all of them (from the same IP address) to install the needed apps from GooglePlay. But one, somehow, someway didn't show any pre-installed apps in GooglePlay, such as GoogleMaps, Gmail, Google+, which should appear, because they're installed same procedure in each case (every device has got the same versione, same firmware,..).
..to focusing back on little-vince's post;
I hope that's not true.
I don't know the way these apps were installed or cooked into, but 3 of 4 phones went smoothly in my case.
All 4 were before the update on the same version, which I did not wrote down. The problem also is, that on another device I had the problem to update the apps via GooglePlay which were shown. There basically was an *update* sign, but when I clicked it there was the text that it's not available in my area.
I somehow think, that the problem is somewhere in the language/locales.
I've switched between the default language on the phone, rebooted it, and somehow I made it work on the second device to run updates,
but on the first device, not even a single installed app shows up, which is funny :silly:
I've also tried to clear cache, wipe everything, factory reset etc.., but it didn't worked out.
If you find a solution, I'd be glad to know.
Sir, you stated Galaxy S III, you do know this is the GNote >>Galaxy Note GT-N7000. Unless you are ref to the GNote 7000.
But I glad you used the Search button to bring this thread up...from June - Sept.
I had this problem once and it was because I changed the screen resolution (lcd density). Google play understands this modification as a "not compatible device", so some apps doesnt´t show at "My apps".
Before that I tried a lot of solutions, like cleaning the google play cache, etc., but nothing worked.

Google Play Store Problems

Not sure if this is the right place to post or not.
I just purcahsed a new Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. Set it up and noticed the Android Market Icon was still there??? Went to download some apps and it prompted me to download Playstore. After Playstore was downloaded imediatly started freezing up and forcing close. Uninstalled, re-booted, reinstalled again and same problem. Unistalled, did master reset, did another initial set-up, went to Playstore and same problem. Wasted an hour of my life on the phone with T-mobile customer care and tech support then wasted another 35 minutes with Samsung tech support with no positive outcome. So this moring I turn to the internet and the real experts. Doing a quick google search I see that in the past week or two there have been a huge influx of Playstore complaints that sound similar to mine and it appears they are not device or carrier specific. Has Google come out an said there is a problem? Anyone else on here having any issues? FYI, I did confirm that I am running the most recent updates.
I checked and I do have the most recent system update on my device. I am not a "geek" but have been using Android devices since before they were availabel to the public and this Samsung is my 6th Android device so I am not a newb, that being said I am ready to throw my new Tab through a wall because I can usually work my way through glitches and get them corrected on my own. I was using a crappy old Viewsonic G-Pad before this, I thought I was upgrading but thet old rooted G-Pad is far better than this garbage.
Thanks in advance.
so are you saying you are on android version 4.0.4? that version should have come with the "play store".
I haven't had any issues myself, but you can try going into settings-applications, and then select the market/play store and clear data and cache. You can also uninstall updates if it still acts up.

Yes, it is version 4.0.4 yet it has an Android Market icon not a play store icon, I was very suprised when I saw that icon, I have not seen it in months on my other devices, i thought it was a thing of the past. Once I go into android market and try to install an app it then tells me I need to upgrade to Play Store, I click continue, download play store and that is when all hell breaks lose. Once I unistall the Play Store update it runs fine until I try to download another app through the market.
Not sure if this could help, but have you tried, instead of the factory reset, clearing data on Play Store and Google Services Framework, restarting and trying again? Ran into some Play Store trouble this past week and this seemed to solve it
I am having the same problem. I just got this 10.1 t-mobile tablet. I can't do anything because it is constantly popping up saying play store has stopped unexpectedly. I have uninstalled the update, cleared the data and cache. Nothing is working. I am essentially dead in the water as this pops every 30 seconds.
Saw the same problem on my friend tab
My only solution was to root and put cm9 on it. Works great now.

Playstore error ([BM-PP-14)]

Hi,
When trying to download an app (swiftkey) on the playstore, i have the error ([BM-PP-14)].
This error occurs just after clicking on the price and just before "accept and download" button.
Weird thing, I've already bought this app 2 days ago and never had a chance to download it. At first I had the 921 error.
I've tried clearing google play cache and data, rebooting the device with no luck.
My device has the original rom.
Any help would be appreciated.

Having the same problem with Star Wars Pinball. Except I can buy other apps. It seems to be just this app that gets the error. Have tried clearing cache and data of Google Framework Services, Google Play Store, and Download Manager, all with no luck.

Same here : no problem with buying and installing other apps and I'm using 4.2.2 on nexus 4.
Perhaps this topic should be moved to the nexus 4 section?

Google support got stuck too on this. They refunded the application and the problem disappeared. I've purchased and downloaded it again successfully.

There are two ways of getting around this:
1) Use Amazon but purchase with a US credit card (not 100% sure if the card address is necessary).
2) Trick Google Play into thinking you are in the US. This has changed over the last few years but identifying your location depends on two or three things:
- Your carrier based on your SIM card.
- Your IP address.
- Your credit card (I'm not sure about this one since I've never registered my Chinese credit card)
Two years ago if I wanted to get paid apps I just connected with popped in a US SIM card (even a dead one), connected with wifi and did my purchasing. However other steps may be required now depending on your device, such as a wifi only tablets. In any case I was just able to purchase an app that 20 minutes ago only gave me the BM-PPH-01 error. I haven't tried it with any movies, but will try to clean up this process to only what is necessary.
Steps I took on my Samsung i9300
1. Change the SIM from China Unicom to an old AT&T SIM and connect with wifi with airplane mode on otherwise.
2. Settings > Applications Manager > Google Play Store & Google Play Services > Clear Cache
3. Connect to San Jose pptp VPN service.
4. Log in to Google Play > Purchase from Phone and purchased through desktop Play Store* successfully.
*Oddly, when selecting devices from when purchasing through desktop Play Store, my i9300 still showed up as from China Unicom.
I suspect that the VPN connection may not be necessary, at least for the entire process, maybe just during the log in, but haven't needed to buy enough apps to try each option. But something like this should get you your stuff.

Hey man you really did not need go through that many steps. Just an hour ago I got BM-PP-14 when I was trying to purchase an app from play store on my desktop. Then I tried purchasing it from the play store on my cell phone and it was successful... I am in Shanghai and the carrier recognized on play store is China Mobile.

I wish I could agree with you. Sometimes it works this way, sometimes it definitely won't. I suspect that this restriction is app specific because sometimes it works the opposite of what you described. I can't get it on my phone but can via desktop Play.

Today I solve the problem by delete updates of Google play and Google play service.
Launch it again then the download procedure is fine, no reboot need.

Galaxy S7 Edge (Microsoft Office Apps) not working

Hi there,
This is my first threat here.
I just bought the S7 Edge yesterday and it came pre-loaded with Microsoft (Word, Excel, Power Point and OneNote)
I can not use them when ever I have tried to open them they ask for update and then it says (This app is not available for your device) error (2316:4002).
I have the same problem with my Note 5 ????
If it helps I live In Iraq and use an american Google account and my model number is (SM-G935F) the one with the Octa-Core Samsung in-house processor.
Please can you help me cause I need those app very much in my work.
Hi buddy I've just checked these apps and can confirm working here in the UK sm-g935f purchased direct from Samsung..
No idea if this helps ?
Regards Braggster
It could be your location try using fake GPS in the app store to see if it will allow you to update. Also, try clearing the cache on the apps this has happened to me and clearing the apps cache worked.
Try update from Samsung app store instead of Google Play, I had the same issue and fixed by update via Samsung app store.p
I didn't find the apps in the galaxy app store.
I also tried using fake GPS and clearing the cash
Still not working
I am having the same problem though my device doesn't have it preloaded. When I go to play store it simply says not compatible. I'm in the US and bought the G935f online.
My guess would be the software isn't authorized for your region, and can tell the region you're in based on the SIM you're using.

as you mentioned living in Iraq.
If you think thr s problem with region then American Google Account is meaningless!
whatever u use an account that registered completely in USA But Google Play Service find ur location by using gps & internet & simcard so again limit to ur region.
u can delete all location history and always be on airplane mode and always connect to VPN
:good:
