Nokia 5 TA-1053 Downgrade problem - Nokia 5 Questions & Answers

I am trying to downgrade my Nokia 5 to android 7.1. Currently, it's running on android 9. I tried this method.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...oreo-to-nougat-for-bootloader-unlock.3893053/
But Windows PowerShell was unable to detect any device. So, then I searched and installed some drivers like these
But no work.
Then I found a solution in here
nokia phone not detected using adb via windows PC
I have connected Nokia 1 TA-1066 phone to windows PC via USB cable after enabling USB debugging in setting->System->Developer Options. on the command prompt, I am unable to get the device after executing #adb devices. Do I need any specific...
forum.xda-developers.com
But there is no option called audio source, so I selected MIDI, also no work and platform-tool windows link is not working, so I searched google and downloaded this https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools, and it didn't work either.
All after this, something came to my mind.
Does Nokia 5 needs an unlocked bootloader to do the downgrading process?
Otherwise, Is there another way to do this? Like I saw on YouTube, someone is using ntool to do the process, but I don't know is it safe or not.
And what could be wrong with ADB? Why it's not detecting my phone?
Thanks

ADB does not find device

Hi all,
I've searched the forums (honestly), but I can't find an answer to my problem.
I have a Vodafone branded 32B phone.
I installed the AndroidSDK as supposed to, added the path, made the phone root, booted into the recovery console using fastboot and flashed my phone with different operating systems... but during all this time I hever got ADB to work.
Whatever I do, adb never finds the phone. Fastboot works and finds it, when it's in fastboot mode, but ADB never. So, I can't permanently install the recovery console nor do any of the other funky stuff.
ADB doesn't work when the phone is in fastboot mode nor normally operating. I have USB Debugging turned on. The phone works normally and I can access the SDCard just fine.
Any help?
Suggestion.
Look into purchasing a G1 to be kept as a spare and used for development. That's what I've done with my G1. GParted is within most recovery images nowadays, therefore you can do most anything there, well...important functions that is. Keep that in mind.
You might need to uninstall the driver that recognizes your phone, then manually install the updated driver.

that's what i had to do to get it to recognise my phone.
i'm pretty sure the driver came with SDK. either way i've attached the one i used.
go into device manager and update the driver it's currently using with the attached one.
Incorrect driver.
It should be the 1st driver listed in the Android SDK file.
As far as I know, you could also choose to push ADB to your system32 file folder under the C: drive in your computer. That is if you're using a Windows machine.
just a thought
Are you on windows or linux? If you're in ubuntu try sudo adb ... the default unprivilaged user doesnt automatically have access to the device.
If you're in Windows I would uninstall the Android Phone device in device manager and reboot with the phone disconnected. Then connect it and install the usb driver from the sdk when prompted. Might also pay to download the sdk again.
Install HTC Sync
Another known way to fix the issue is to download and install HTC Sync http://www.htc.com/au/SupportViewNews.aspx?dl_id=573&news_id=169
This seems to install the correct drivers

Hey Guys,
Forgot to mention I'm on Windows Vista 64 bits.
That last suggestion did the trick. I went to the site and downloaded the HTCDriverUpdate_Vista_64bits.exe, and within seconds I had an ADB connection.
Thanks for your help!

ADB Interface Error

Hi,
Trying to get my Nexus 7 connected to my laptop running Windows XP (32bit), SP3, to allow me to root it.
I've downloaded the Nexus Root Toolkit and I've tried installing all the different drivers from there (USB Debugging is OK), and even the Samsung drivers.
Every time, I get a error on the android ADB interface (can't install). I can't post a picture yet (need 10 posts on here), but I get the following in device manager:
Android Device
Nexus (!)
Other Devices
MTP (!)
Any ideas where I'm going wrong? I think I've read somewhere that XP is difficult to get communicating.
Cheers.
Oh, and it tries to install wdtCoinstaller01007 as standard for a driver.
Have also tried *01009
I have the same problem.
I guess the MTP while in debugging mode is not important

[Q] Nexus 7 wireless root.

Hi i have nexus 7 and have one problem. i used car charger and my usb is screwed when i connect it to pc it says unknown device but its stil normal charging i tried al tricks on net but not working, i think that is somekind of protection switch that nexus 7 triger when strange power input is delivered. Ok so here is my question is there any way to root my nexus without connecting to pc. I have unlocked bootloader, so i would like custom rom couse dont like this one and need rooted setings couse i use it for car pc.
Tnx for info
You can use ftp, samba, AirDroid, WebShare, etc. tó copy the needed files to your N7.
Btw, you can try connecting it to your pc, check the Device Manager and if you see there an Unknown device, click on it, and remove its driver. Reconnect your N7. If the driver corrupted, this should solve the problem.
Like i said i tried all the tricks with drivers but not working. Tried reinstalig all drivers on the net but allways unknown device with error 43.
Its not file transfer problem i use wifi transfer and its fast but i wanna know if there is a way for wireless root
Just copy CF-Auto-Root to your device and root it.
Btw how can i execute the autoroot.zip file, couse even if i go into bootloader nexus cant be recognized by the pc so i cant execute comand via cmd
Sry but I forgot that it needs fastboot. As far as I know there is no one-click rooting app for tegra3 (like Framaroot or AndRoot), so I guess you're out of options.
Mybe some pro will find a way
The problem lies in your computer. The nexus 7 doesn't flip some magical switch permanently after being plugged into your car.
You need to fix your drivers.
No its not problem in pc. Tried 4 diferend PCs at least 10 different cables and yea problem is in tablet 100%
Forget cable and do it wireless like Erovia suggest.
You will find everything in play store.
Problem isnt file transfer, ust i want to root it and for that is no way to do it without usb cable

[Q] Nexus 4 bricked up bad

My nexus 4 went crazy last week. I was trying out Lucky Patcher on one of my apps (I wanted to develop something against it). But since then, my phone can't connect to my computer: According to the computer, "The last connected device malfunctioned." I went to recovery and wiped EVERYTHING(including internal storage). It worked a little and I got another ROM on, but now its happened again and I can't connect it to the computer AT ALL. I have no ROM and my phone is now literally, a(n almost) useless brick. Recovery works, but without a ROM on it I can't do anything. I haven't been able to use it and it's driving me crazy. Can anybody please help?My computer first gave me error code
Using: twrp-3.0.0-0, Windows 10.0.10586(You can check it out in a terminal: Just type in "cmd")
Was using: CataclysmMod-Marshmallow-Dec_08_2015-MAKO-MMB29K_Stable, Click here for details
Lucky Patcher v6.0.8, Layers, Titanium Backup (Among other things)
Uninstall your nexus drivers from Windows, reboot, and install them again. Also try a different USB port and a USB cable, and if nothing helps, a different computer. I remember that one day I wasn't able to flash /system partition of a stock ROM from fastboot because it gave me a strange error. Since then, everyhing is ok.
When you manage to go in fastboot mode, flash a stock image (using erase command for each partition), and only then flash a custom ROM. In this way everything will be nice and clean.
I tried doing what you said, but:
Windows Explorer said:
"USB device not recognized:
The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned, and Windows cannot recognize it."
This is when I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers
Try a window 7 machine? Try different USB cables and USB ports?

For some odd reason, the drivers I'm installing(different computer) for fastboot aren't working.
Problem is:
When I try 'installing legacy hardware':
The driver error code: 'The device cannot start(code 10)'
When I try Updating device driver software:
With the 'Have disk' method:
Error: The driver is not correct. Please check if the driver is for windows x64 operating systems.
With the direct 'browse for folders on my computer' method:
Windows has 'determined' that your driver is up to date
Can anybody help? I was using the Google USB driver (click here for link)
Windows x64 10.0.10586
Are you using a win 7 machine? I have never had problems with fastboot on a win7 machine, only win8 and 10.
Maybe these will work: http://forum.xda-developers.com/goo...nt/adb-fb-apx-driver-universal-naked-t2513339 ?
This is win10
AANNDD I'm having problems with the Universal naked drivers: check it out (Click here)
THANK YOU EVERYBODY for your help and assistance, my phone is now fixed, reverted to its unrooted form. I'm just so relived it's fixed!!!
How did you fix the phone? Share your solution as it may help other XDA members with a similar issue.
Use the Qualcomm HUSB method, I fixed my phone same way too.
