Fastboot is not working but adb is fine. - Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 Questions & Answers

Hello everyone. I have my asus zenfone max pro m1 and I want to install a custom rom in it, which requires me to go to fastboot.
I have followed a post on xda forum about it.
I have unlocked my bootloader.
installed adb and fastboot (platform tools).
enabled usb debugging and allowed my pc.
Now when give the command for adb devices, it shows me the attached device. Then i give the command "adb reboot bootloader" and it works perfectly and I enter fastboot on my device.
But as soon I give command fastboot devices the fastboot menu in my phone changes to small font saying "press power button to shutdown" . But when I restart my PC and do it all again, the first time when I
give the command for fastboot devices it shows me my device , but second time onwards it shows "??????? fastboot" and again the same small font message is shown. I have attached screenshot of my CMD for better illustration. Please help me regarding this . Thank you.

oem unlock...Ok.

EDIT: never mind, it doesn't actually do anything, fastboot commands like "boot" still don't work

So I booted into fastboot (using a regular cable) and then used a Kindle Fire fastboot cable to enter "fastboot oem unlock"
This happened. Not sure if it actually allows me to flash/boot unsigned images though, I don't really want a brick at the moment
well

I can't remember exactly where I read it may be in development or original development here it's been fairly recently I believe it is awaiting some hex key codes or some type of ID numbers I'm not sure which but I do not believe that you are unlocked..I do know it is in some of the very recent development stuffthat some of our higher end developers were discussing this.
It doesn't do anything.

Nexus 10 Woes :(

Hey there, I think im softbricked or something. I turn on my device and it just goes straight to fastboot, no recovery on the device at all. Still OEM unlocked.
Ive tried everything i know how to do.. ive used Nexus Rootkit 2.1.9 It gives me this in the live log.
Code:

Launching flashstock.bat
BUT in the CMD it shows this. And remains there endlessly.
EDIT ALSO, whenever ADB sends a reboot signal the tablet will not reboot.... could it be driver issues?

Android DVR / HU - How to press volume button to unlock bootloader

Hi All,
I am trying to un-brick an Android DVR from Chinese manufacturer. Currently, it is stuck in boot and shows "Android is Upgrading. Optimizing App 1 of 1" on the screen. Can't get into recovery mode to clean cache or factory reset using reset button.

I tried to use adb to wipe the data but get permission error.
Last thing that appears to work is unlock bootloader from fastboot using the following commands:
Code:
su
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot devices
fastboot oem unlock

The DVR is asking to press volume keys to accept the adb command and unlock the bootloader. However, there is no volume key in the device. I have just two keys, one power and one reset.
Can someone advice how to simulate volume key press to unlock the bootloader. Note that I am not able to get into the device at all due to "android is upgrading" error.

How to Remove Warning Bootloader Unlocked Message on Moto G5

The Bootloader Unlocked Message is a single image with a serial number printed on top. In case of the Moto G5 the serial number is 'N/A' (not applicable). To completely hide the 'Unlocked' boot message logo.bin must be replaced with one that has a white background where 'N/A' appears. Like this:
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I have created 5 different versions:
INSTALLATION:
phone: enable debug mode
pc: have 'adb' and 'fastboot' installed
connect to pc (usb)
on pc, in terminal:
cd /path/to/folder/ (cd to the folder where boot.img is )
adb
adb devices (Must list a phone id. If not check debug mode on phone)
(if 'unauthorized' grant permission on phone)
adb reboot bootloader (boots phone into fastboot)
fastboot devices (should list device, as above)
fastboot flash logo logo.bin (ignore 'not found' 'not signed' etc.)
when done reboot using the menu on the phone.
Done!
DOWNLOAD
All 5 logo.bin files, with images and installation instructions (3.1 MB)
Used, very good.
Great! Even knew /e/
