Aim:
The aim is to get VoLTE working so that the phone can work in India on the Reliance Jio network. "Work" as in makes and receives calls through the native phone and messaging apps.
A bit of context:
I have a Samsung S7 Edge SM-G935F.
I am want to use the phone on a network that is 4G only meaning I need VoLTE enabled for the calls and texts.
Currently I am running the XEU firmware, but VoLTE is not working when I use the Reliance Jio sim.
PDA: G935FXXU8ETI2
CSC: G935FXEU8ETI3
If you need more context info let me know.
Questions:
So, basically, I am trying to figure out the easiest, non-intrusive way to enable VoLTE without having to unlock bootloader, root the device, etc...etc. (don't even know if it is possible this way). Anway...
The first question is, can I flash a VoLTE firmware from region/network A and use the phone in any other region/network B? Will VoLTE work? Or is the VoLTE firmware specifically programmed to work networks in a particular region or a single network in a region? For example, can I flash EVR (EE UK) firmware (I think it has VoLTE feature enabled), and use the phone in India on the Reliance Jio network.
( If the suggestion in the first question is not possible )
The second question is, can I flash a SM-G935FD INS (Indian) firmware on the SM-G935F to get VoLTE working? Is it safe to flash an FD firmware to the F variant?

Hello, you can run Volte and Vowifi having root, you only need to know the operator's data settings for these functions
"Currently I am running the XEU firmware, but VoLTE is not working when I use the Reliance Jio sim." Does it work with another sim? Thats the impression I am getting. If it works with another sim and not your current one then it may be as simple as the phone provider not supporting the device for VoLTE. If it is a problem for all providers then you will need to change to a firmware with a CSC that supports VoLTE.

Hello, I recently tried a reliance jio sim in India. This carrier only offers calling through volte and there is no volte option in my s5.
Can anyone tell me if a custom rom can enable this function or flashing a rom from different country like australia will solve this problem?

one of the dark roms has it --- im running the rom but i don't have the facility of Volte ...

i have g900i also and jio sim but did not work..

Did it work!?
i tried replacing s5 csc folder with csc folders from volte enabled version of s6. it catches volte for sometime and then loses signal altogether. volte is shown be two large arrows pointing to left and right
Nee csc does not support volte
As per Alexander csc "nee" should support volte but jio sim getonly 4g network no voice calling i have to an stupid app with my internet open 24hr to make call lol.
Rom im using xxx version 5.2

I did a fresh install of AUT csc version. Through odin.
Still in not getting Volte option.
Is thir something im missing.

In custom xls i see volte text and in others xls alsi see volte text wirtten

For jio sim we have call jio center and give them Imie number so they can enable volte for your phone
After lot of search it seem my s5 g900f will not support JIO.
S5 does not support band with 40
All qualcomm varients of Galaxy S5 supports all possible bands. Search for app called "Hidden settings" and switch band to EURO or auto and you would get band 40. I did install the app but i wad not to find opton to change euro or auto nor i was able too option band
I tried to change band setting from QXDM
For 40 - 549755813888 ( no network)
Then agian changed to 549755813908 (which is total of 3 ,5 and 40) network is back but still no volte

Can u give us those s6 CSC files ...that u replaced...so that I can give it atry on my G900I
Hi All, i am having verizon model 935v and i have flashed 935U successfully. I am using my mobile in india with Jio but my mobile doesn't supporting Volte because it doesnot have indian csc. I have verified csc using phone info app and can only see usa csc codes. My phone doesnot show any options to toggle volte wiyh jio sim but when i insert any us or verizon sim, it reboots and shows volte in settings or dialer app.
So i have decided to flash 935U firmware again but flashing 935F csc(indian) in odin and flashed it but this soft bricked my phone. I again re flashed and 935U and phone is working.
My biggest question to all of you is " Can i chnage the CSC to indian(INS) in 935U by changing manually with root explorer (will root my mobile) so it should work with Jio Volte??'
(I have seen lag with 935U with root, another issue however)

Hi Guys wanted to find out if VoLTE for T-Mobile was working on any CSC's ? I can sacrifice WiFi calling and RCS just want VoLTE . Wondering if it works on BTU CSC. Was reading and looks like Nougat Beta 1 CSC had alot of support for many VoLTE on many carriers. Also was reading that Samsung implemented various framework to allow VoLTE to work in Nougat without many modifications needed. Is this true and would upgrading to a Nougat ROM be enough to get VoLTE to work ?

On my rom only, there are NO OTHER roms which
have wifi calling and volte for tmobile in them.
None of the other roms have the tmobile wifi calling
and volte ability feature in them.

I recently flashed INS (indian)firmware on my xsg (uae) running device to enable volte feature and i succeeded. .Now volte is working fine but both sim slot now doesn't support 2g and 3g networks..Even it is showing in the network mode.it's not working ..".Emergency calls ony" is showing..4g network is working but not 2g and 3g..Anyone please help..:crying:

Hello, I have a Huawei P smart (2018), model FIG-LX1, dual sim with the current software version 9.1.0.130(C432E8R1P5), completely stock.
Does this phone supports VoLTE and VoWiFi ?, or can it be modded ?
I have tried with carrier provisioned SIMs, from Romania: Orange, Vodafone, but it doesn't seem to work,
nothing appears in the settings.

VoLTE and VoWiFI are supported and working. It depends on your carrier if it enables this feature for you or not. When it does you will have option VoLTE calls under Mobile Networks settings for given SIM.
