TWRP does not work the touch screen. - POCO M3 Questions & Answers

After having worked hard to install TWRP, I saw that the touch screen is not working. Necessarily used OTG and mouse. Why? Does anyone know how to help?

[Q] Autorotation in TWRP ?

Is there anyway that i can auto-rotate TWRP ??
Im using TWRP with multirom ..
Unfortunately my digitizer broke and the navigation area is not working.. ( Temporarily i'm managing the phone with full auto-rotation from gravity-box )
MAIN problem is im unable to use the "Swipe to flash" area in TWRP because of the broken digitizer..
I planned to use CWM but im afraid of loosing multirom..
So guys please suggest me about auto-rotation in TWRP or any other alternative idea to flash in MULTIROM..
How do i delete this thread ??

Nope i didnt .. but i dont think TWRP has an auto-rotation.. if at all it existed at-least 1 would have suggested among the 100 views..
Try flashing CWM (non-touch) or PhilZ recovery, they might work for you... they use the Vol and Power buttons to perform recovery functions. It is simple to install or switch even if the screen is not working, you can do it through fastboot with a single command...
fastboot flash recovery cwmrecoveryimage.img
of course, substitute the actual recovery image file name.
EDIT: Nevermind... I didn't see you were using MultiROM until it was too late, I should probably read more thoroughly before replying.

First flash 2.1.1 full, after flash ota 2.1.2.
So, if otg isn't working in twrp, what is everyone doing as a workaround?
My last device was the N5 and I would flash a different ROM a few times a month or more. I always preferred to wipe everything, including internal storage, then install the ROM clean and fresh.
With the OPT, I've just been doing normal wipe and flashing over top. Problem is that the sdcard is getting cluttered with folders from previous installs.
I was hoping to be able to wipe internal storage, connect the OPT to my laptop and sideload the ROM using adb. The OPT doesn't show up when I use 'adb devices'. It just says 'List of devices'... I've installed the naked and universal drivers. No luck.
So for now it looks like I'm stuck without a way to wipe the device clean and start fresh, unless someone else has figured out a way to get it to work.

I'm in the same situation
But I have rooted and Xposed + "kerneled" my phone several times since I have mine and you can be sure, wiping everything but internal storage is clearly the exact same thing as cleaning everything, since internal storage only contains files like your downloads, music, photos... and some apps files but never configuration or settings files.
You really start from scratch if you wipe everything but internal storage.

I would make a back up, and then copy it to the computer, but if you REALLY mess something up, that will do you no good because you won't be able to restore, my workaround for the OTG in TWRP was to get a Nexus 6 LOL

Help with restart menu

Anyone able to create a restart menu that can restart to recovery? Have tried to do a few instructions but run into areas that do not match and it gets quite confusing for me. So anyone can assist would be great. I have a SM-T550

Did you get any PMs or figure anything out, other than Xposed and Gravitybox. That's how I get an extended reboot menus like you get in CM builds.

Haven't received any information at all. I did attempt to do it from this Post but failed for some reason and my tablet wouldn't boot, just stuck on logo. Not thought of xposed module at all because I would think it would act as a third party app. Those do not get along well with the TWRP 3.0.2-1 recovery by @ashyx. If you use 3rd party app to reboot to recovery with that version, you'll be stuck in recovery and not be able to boot to system until you reinstall the recovery with same instructions as first time you install it.

I'm using TWRP 2.8.7.0 by @ashyx and I use the reboot function in Gravitybox and it is working just fine for me with no bootloops. I will look into how to add the reboot function into the rom and see if I come up with anything and if I do, I will be sure to let you know.
I tried @ashyx 2.8.7 twrp but touches were way out of line so had to go back to 3.0.2 recovery. I think it has to do with the MM 6.0.1 firmware.

yea that may be the reason the 2.8.7 doesn't like my tab being it's T550. you should make your rom work on the 550 hehehe

If I had that device for testing I would. I would hate to make something that would screw up someone's device. If its mine, I dont care but not on someone else's.

[SOLVED] Rooting without an SD card?

I can't find this anywhere. Every guide seems to assume that everyone has a micro SD in their phone. Currently, I don't have one. I'm wondering if an S7 Edge root is possible without an SD card.

I have tried the CF-Auto-Root method twice now, both resulting in being stuck on boot like the other times. However, maybe I needed to wait longer? Next time I attempt a root I will leave the phone alone for at least 15 minutes before I call it a failure. Still, the post you linked seems to be for older firmware. Would you still recommend the method for Nougat? Thanks for the reply.

I think I've isolated the problem. After using adb sideloader to install magisk and antiroot remover, I'm prompted to reboot. In other guides, there is a further options screen after pressing the reboot button which has a couple checked boxes and a button that says "Do Not Install". I see this screen for maybe a third of a second after selecting Reboot before the device reboots on its own. Just tried this and now I'm stuck on the Samsung boot logo once again.
Note: There are many errors in the adb sideloader log relating to being unable to mount/unmount /data/ and stuff like that that I know are related to having an SD inserted.
Edit: I should also note that I am new to android. Fresh newbee from iOS, but I have been jailbreaking for the past 9 years. Still in over my head I think.

Once data is wiped in twrp then reboot back to recovery and connect usb to pc. You should be able to copy SuperSU zip via mtp and your phone should show up on pc. Flash SuperSU zip once copied

The phone is recognized on the PC but there are no folders. Any files I try to drag over come up with an error. Furthermore, I could use the stock firmware USB to store the necessary files on it, but I can't seem to navigate to the same storage destination via the TWRP file browser.

Update: Still stuck on Samsung boot logo after 15+ minutes after successfully loading from usb drive. TWRP still skipped right by the reboot options screen after the install... I have no clue why it's doing that. It's like it's taking the command to reboot after I press the button and processing it while it is going to the next screen. I don't know. Hopefully someone does. It's so close!
EDIT: IT WORKED!!! Had to format and then installing from usb drive worked great! Thank you so much!!
