New Google Messages layout - Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra Guides, News, & Discu

Just wanted to let everyone know if you are interested. APK mirror has the Google messages that has the new Samsung layout and also has a setting to better integrate with Bixby if you use that. Links are below for the APK, will also need to install the APK mirror installer from playstore as it is a bundled APK. Works normally and everything functions. I did notice that I seemed to have a bit higher battery drain after install and running today and did not receive a few messages, but rebooted phone and all is back to normal.

Nexus 7 2012
TWRP 2.8.1.0
Version: 2014-11-17
Thanks for the feedback!
Next update will be introducing a new installation system that can help with different /system partition size.
It should be done within 3 days!
New build is up! Please give me feed back on this so I can improve it more!
When Play Services 6.5 is pushed (with trusted locations) will we get the update automatically or do we need to rely on you to make a new Gapps package? Thanks for your work! Trying it now.
Normally, the Google Play Services should able to update itself. But I'll also update the build when it's out, to reduce /data usage.
Can you remove the Android Version check or make a version for 5.0.1? Thanks!
Sorry for the delay, but here it is! All updated to latest version and provided Slim version for devices having smaller /system partition!

Where to get APK for (sideload)

there are other sites I'll look for them later
BUT
Amazon is blocking the install of some apps
example is FBReader
so i had to fine the APK to FBReader to sideload it
I found 2 sites where you can download Google Play apps
"Only the free ones, this is not a pirate site"
if you want free "Paid" apk's go somewhere else, we don't do that here"
these sites download the APK directly from Google play
http://apk-dl.com/
http://apps.evozi.com/apk-downloader/
I have only used apk-dl but that both should work

TKruzze uploads many files there
Hi,

Gapps Nano / Mini vs Aurora Store. The banana-gorilla-jungle problem

Let’s consider a minimal installation with: Slim7 + Chrome and Youtube (whatsapp?)
We can preinstall with Slim7:
-Gapps Mini: it has YouTube and we need to install Chrome with Play store
-Gapps Micro: it has only the Play Store, and we have to install Chrome and YouTube
-Aurora apk (manually) : it has nothing, and we have to install Chrome and YouTube it with it own store
The PROBLEM is:
are we still facing the banana-gorilla-jungle problem, when we start installing a program with Aurora Store or Gapps micro ?
Id est, when we will install the YouTube & Chrome, will the installer NEED anyway to get ALSO all the other libraries and components that the Gapps *Mini* has already stored on your Tablet ?
So at the end, will the system end with the same library and components installed ?
BR
I would try it but my tab dosent boot sorry
Just installed lineage 14.1 and Gapps pico. Not so bad ....
Tryed also to install Aurora Store apk... BUT
WARNING...
The installer fails to download the apk you want, when connecting in _anonymous_ mode.
The installer offers to connect via your account but WARNS you that, being Aurora a banned app, your Google account may be banned too if fount using Google Play store (!!!).
READ the Aurora Store notice very carefully BEFORE accepting or denying..

LG V35 Daydream Apps

Hello, I have LG V35, which is listed as a Google Daydream supported device.
Tried installing daydream apks like Skybox and few others but says
phone not Daydream-ready.
Have already installed vr services. Am I missing any settings or service apks.
Anyone with related info please advice.
Phone details: model LM-V350AWM, android 10, build QKQ1.191222.002,
software V350AWM30e, security patch April 1 2020
Thanks.
from Reddit. seems to work for my newer phone, but the daydream app is a bit incompatible with Android 13.
I saw this post a few days ago and I remembered it and thought about the time I got Daydream on incompatible devices even without root, I used a modified Google VR Services APK to bypass the compatability check and got it working on a Note 9 (why is the Note 9 not even supported in the first place it's literally the same as the S9). Anyway it worked pretty well you will just have to do a bit of sideloading to get some apps & games as the Daydream app can only show things that the Play Store deems "compatible". Just install the modified Google VR Services APK, a Daydream APK, and the Daydream Keyboard APK and just sideload most of your apps.
If you want to get your paid apps, use an app called zBackup, it allows you to backup apps as an APK and include it's OBB. Download zBackup on your old Pixel and on your new Pixel. Then backup your paid apps and their OBBs. Then copy the ZIPs and APKs zBackup backed up and restore them on your new Pixel.
