Bloatware Removal mp260 - LG K20 Plus Questions & Answers

Couple years ago, I couldn't get "root" - no matter what I did...
Might have to use this device (again) because my carrier's gone "Victims of Lowlife Techno Extortion" - VoLTE.
And no I'm not gonna let them screw me with another POS I can't get root, or secure ... Not if they'll turn this one back on...
Is there a way to remove the bloatware, carrier-ware, etc - if I can get it to accept Magisk?
If there IS a way to simply get (and keep) root, I'd prefer that but I'm either special kind of stupid, or I suspect Metro did some special rotten things making that impossible
Thanks in Advance

[Q] Rooting and back?

Hello. I'm sorry if I write this kind of questions, I know it annoys if it's already been asked, but I swear to you I looked *everywhere* and couldn't find a precise answer.
I'm coming from an iphone, and the sgs is my first android phone. Obviously I jailbroke my iphone on day 3, and I would like to keep the same tradition rooting my new phone today. The thing it's keeping me from doing it is warranty-related: on my iphone I knew that if one day I had to send it to apple (like for a broken wifi chipset), I could just connect it to my computer, hit the "restore" button and I was good to go. Now the question is: is the same also true for the sgs? Can I just plug it in with kies and restore it to factory settings?? Or with odin? I know about the samsung-firmwares website...does it provide truly *stock* firmwares without root? So that if I send the phone to samsung for repair it is *impossible* for them to see that my phone is-was rooted??
I also have a second question concerning these problems: why does rooting avoid your warranty?? Seriously, I can understand why apple doesn't want you to jailbreak your device...it's a double money loss for them. Either because you crack apps without buying them and/or because you use another "appstore" where you buy apps without giving them a cent...
But google I really can't understand: it's an open os, you can use other appstores right in your device (I read this info, but in fact apart from the samsung one, I've never seen alternative stores...), heck, you can also crack applications right in your device without rooting it!
So really, WHY?!?
I just wanted to root because of titanium backup. When I bought the phone I started playing with it for a while, downloaded some apps, changed some settings, tuned my homescreen, etc. Then I rebooted into windows to use kies and upgrade the firmware...and I found the horrible news: I had to do everything back from scratch. Now, that is something (coming from an iphone) that I find really disturbing. And then I read about titanium backup pro...but you need root. Seriously, why should that be something that avoids my warranty?!? Can someone explain this to me?

How to re-install W7Phone os?

Is there way to Flash the htc with an untouched W7Phone os? I got my from Telus and i would like to remove the stupid screen that appears when you turn the phone on..
Is this even possible? It seems that there are no possibilities to customize W7 phone, i mean good system, but with no hacking option won't go far...
give it some time.
It's a completely new OS, it is going to take a while for people to hack it.
Rest assured though, people are working on it.
Something will come out eventually.

[Q] Why can't I protect my phone? Really ask why.

I was thinking, why someone didn't create a lockable recovery and download mode yet? I mean, if I get robbed I have sure that someone will not flash another ROM and take out my anti-thief app, coz when they try to get access to recovery and download mode they will be stucked by a password only I know.
Of course Samsung will never do that, you see that they want we get robbed and buy another one... They even stuck our liberty to root access and we can't install "root anti-thief" that allow us to activate GPS and DATA from sms to locate the phone and protect the app from WIPEs, witch is not the best (compare with lockable recovery and etc) but its better.
Man I wish, almost pray, that some badass hacker emerge and create this kind of things, clueless to the big brands solve, and say **** it.
I know that the most of the readers live on developed countries and almost don't have to worry about being robbed. And even if they was, they have the power to buy easily another one. Its not like here that one note 3 its over 1000 "us dollars" and we can't get this money easily, coz its 33% of the YEAR, i said YEAR, minimal wage that almost 70% of the workers here work for.
It's tough but wat can we do.... After all, do you know a good security app for non-root phones ?
Sorry my english, I tried hard.

Cerberus anti theft is what you need
Does not require root
Ty guys,
Actually I know about both apps. Android Device Manager its too simplistic and cerberus can't activate DATA AND GPS remotely with SMS, only in its root install... Non-root install means I can't activate nothing remotely, so if the thief deactivate gps, wifi and mobile data (3g; 4g), I couldn't locate my phone... and worst if he knows how "full wipe" the phone through Recovery mode, bye bye cerberus, every non-root app and your lock screen pattern, pass, pin or anything.
Samsung did do something, its called re-activation lock...
If someone steals your phone and wipes it, you need to supply the password of your samsung account to allow access afer a rom flash. Unfortunately it re-acts bad to anything NOT samsung approved(custom roms/kernels and recovery) so most people here avoid it like the plague.
Just remember, it may have a few bugs as this is the first iteration of this feature, I'm not sure how it plays with upgraded bootloaders.
Ty for the news @Ultameg69... It's something, just need to work properly... Samsung seriosly need to put password on revovery and download mode bro and of course something that forbit comunication through usb cable without pass permission...

Change Carrier Banner on Lockscreen without root?

Hey guys,
I am a Sprint Employee for a third party company. New company policy says that if you don't have a Sprint device that you have to keep your phone in the back during your shift. Which is stupid since we have to use our phones while we work/use it as a selling tool, but I understand where they are coming from(it'd be bad to try to sell someone On Sprint when I have Tmo lol).
I asked my DM if we changed it to Sprint/blank would that be accepted for us to be able to use our selling tool on the sales floor and he approved. Normally in this situation I would just used Xposed and get rid of it all together. As we all know Sammy dropped the ball on that one.
Anywho I searched the web trying to find something that can do this without root access and I couldn't find anything. I was wondering if any of you guys have an idea/way that you know of to do it without root. It was so strange not using my phone during my pitches. T_T
I don't think it's possible without root, but maybe you could take the SIM out and just use it on WiFi while at work. Or use a different lockscreen while you're at work. You can turn the lockscreen off completely, too.
Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge

A few things i would like to do now that im rooted, not sure how to start

As long as i've had this phone, a few things have been annoying me that i want to know/tweak
Get rid of the high volume warning
Find a way to get rid of keyboard lag
Find a way to take screenshots on screenshot blocked screens
Get substratum to work on my device, so far i've had no luck
Is there any possible way to mess around with how google now functions?
How can i know for sure a root app will work with my device? I've had a few mishaps with not knowing certain things dont work on the s7 root (damn ims service has stopped message made me have to wipe my phone)
whats the best backup service in case i royally **** up again?
What are some more cool things i can do with my phone now? my mind isnt being creative enough to think of anything else right now but i know i had a blast jail breaking apple products before i switched
If anyone could help me with any of these things i'd be eternally grateful. i want to get as deep into rooting as i did jail breaking, its a confusing world to enter, but an exciting one too
did you get your answers? I am also looking for some of above?
