Mine was updated to Android 11 this morning.
Bro, u can download and flash GSI from here: https://github.com/phhusson/treble_experimentations/wiki/Generic-System-Image-(GSI)-list
edit: GSI is new way to get custom ROMs. google it

LineageOS 14 will come to J5 2016 guaranteed! The dev on j5 2015 is going to build it for 2016 in a few months. Just wait.

If you don't even know how to look for the docs to build a custom ROM, how can you build it if you don't have any knowledge!!?
Do you have any knowledge of the following languages? Java, C, Shell, Makefile, maybe more...
Isn't only get the source and it build, there a lot of work, look at the J5 2015 sources https://github.com/J5-Nougat

The official maintainer is Raymanfx, look for S6 original android section, someone should make the patch to our device and submit to him and it's ready.

Sure, but only GSI for now. Currently these two are stable enough: havoc os, lineage. I personally recommend LineageOS and I think it's more stable but less features.

Lineage OS 17.1 is quite stable, you need to have the firmware of miui 10.2.5, the explanation is in the roms of this model in this same web
Just wondering if there are any A12 ROMS out there. I'm running A11 lineageos 18.1 on my S4 now. Would be cool if someone is working on getting A12 to run.
