Samsung galaxy A40 trouble with KNOX security - Samsung Galaxy A40 Questions & Answers

I have a Samsung Galaxy a40 with knox security but I don´t have the Knox account, and because that I can´t activate the "USB Depuration" because Knox disables it. I want to install a older version, or desinstall Knox with odin or ADB but without the depuration USB is too dificult. Somebody knows how can I root this device or disable at all the Knox security system?

(Q)Knox Exynos n910C

Exynos n910C don't have knox , instead it has private mode.
If I root It, knox bootloader will be knox 1?
Will I still have private mode?
Or I will have to uninstall it with Titanium Backup?
I don't care about warranty void but I Wat all the stock apps and knox private mode.
In Note 3 rooting privileges were incompatible with knox And recommend it to uninstall it.
Is it the same in Note 4 Exynos?
I have a N910C and it does have KNOX.
With the rooting methods we have now, if you root it, your "WARRANTY VOID" flag will be set to 1 (KNOX will be tripped).
Yes I know that warranty will be void, but will knox private mode still work? Or will I have the message that says knox is preventing supersu privileges. And therefore i will have to uninstall it with Titanium Backup?
I have exynos sm-n910c, In Download mode says Knox 0. But I don't have the knox app, instead i have Private Mode.
It seams that snapdragon has knox 0x0 and exynos just only knox 0
also i dont have knox app instaled...

4.4.2 (w/root) to 5.0.1 without voiding knox

hi,
my dad got i9515 4.4.2 with root and 0x0 and i really don't know how to update to 5.0.1 so the knox won't be 0x1 because of present time root the phone has.
kies update will only update the files but what about that root that is already on it? will it notice it and make 0x1 without root on 5.0.1?
what do odin? does flashing with odin is like fresh system so i just flash and it's 0x0 without root?
So many questions.
I'm not positive, but I don't believe you can use Kies on a rooted S4. It will pick up on the firmware status of "Custom" and not allow the update. OTA might work, but it may also check the firmware status, see that it's set to "Custom", and fail. Thus you should use Odin to do the update. If you do it through Odin you will not trip the Knox flag. You will however lose root and will need to root the device after the upgrade. Look through the forums as I'm not 100% sure on this, but to the best of my knowledge, there is no way to root Android 5.0.1 without tripping the Knox flag. I believe this is because the methods used to root without tripping the Knox flag no longer function on Android 5.0.1.

Root for my device? Disabling Knox?

Hi there,
Follow this guide to the letter http://forum.xda-developers.com/s6-...-to-rooting-flashing-custom-recovery-t3200324
You WILL TRIP KNOX and, currently, there is no workaround. Even if you flash a stock ROM with Odin, KNOX Warranty void WILL BE = 1.
You will loose samsung pay and most apps that check for root, like snapchat.

(Q) The trouble in rooting N9005 0x0 KNOX - Towelroot application is not installed

Hi. I would like to have a root on N9005 on 5.0 without tripping flagg but after flashing N9005XXUGNG1 (4.4.2) when I try to install Towelroot, Android shows "application is not installed". I have no idea how to install this application. I turned on debug mode turned on "unknown sources" and turned off the "verify the application". I tried to install it remotely via Wi-Fi and on cable, but the effect was the same.
Perhaps this is another way to 5.0 0x0 KNOX N9005, but do not know how.
Thank you for any help and sorry for my english
Towel root will not work with lollipop.
From the Towelroot thread march 2015 .
But that problem is on N9005XXUGNG1 - this is 4.4.2

Downgrade Sasmung Health on non-rooted phone with knox tripped and with Android 8.0 O

I've upgraded my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (SM-G935F) to Android 8.0.0 (Oreo) and install it via ODIN (Download link: https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s7-edge/SM-G935F/BTU/download/G935FXXU2ERD5/217550/)
I have knox tripped (0x1) but actually I have phone not-rooted with clean factory reset and install official ROM via ODIN.
Unfortunatelly, I cannot run Samsung Health v5.16 because you know, new policy rules for our security
I cannot donwngrade my Samsung Helath because INSTALL_FAILED_VERSION_DOWNGRADE is detected
I tried by official path (download app from apk mirror and install on the phone and also via adb command.
I have installed lastest version of platform-tools but I cannot downgrade
Command:
adb install -r -d com.sec.android.app.shealth-4.5.1.0011-4510011-minAPI19.apk
Error Message:
adb: failed to install com.sec.android.app.shealth-4.5.1.0011-4510011-minAPI19.apk: Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_VERSION_DOWNGRADE]
Please, it's possible downgrade Samsung Health or run current version (v5.16) on non-rooted phone with Knox tripped?
Thank you very much for any help or advice.
Many regards
I think its not possible. Odin will not trip knox.
I know that ODIN will not trip knox. I don't want trip the knox. Just run Sasmung Health with tripped knox on unrooted device.
Hello there, I seem to have the same problem, but on a SM-G930F... Did you manage to resolve your issue?
