Apps crashing after the 12.0.8 update - POCO M3 Questions & Answers

Hello, after a little scare after updating to 12.0.8 (phone stopped after updating, no image after charging, worked only after a trip to fastboot and 2 10 seconds resets), I've noticed, besides the noticeable UI speed boost, that apps that play video crash.
WhatsApp will crash when you play embedded youtube videos, 9 gag will not even start. Is this common?

Try updating Android WebView and Google Chrome to the latest version in Google Play store, that should fix the issue.

Try uninstalling updates of them before updating?
You can do that in Settings → Apps → App info → Manage apps, and tap the three dots menu at the top right corner, choose Show all apps.

I'm not sure what you can try next.
But if you can't update them from Google Play, I think you can still try uninstalling updates of Google Play store and Google Play Services, and try to update Chrome and WebView again from Google Play store.
If nothing works, I think doing a factory reset might help.

You may already have it.
My A500 had it downloaded but not installed.
If you have it but it is not installed it will not show up in your apps.
You can check to see by going to Play Store (the market)
click the down arrow on the top right.
That will bring up your apps.
If it is installed it will be Iconia Tab Update Enhancement.
If it's not then scroll to the bottom.
If it is at the bottom, click install
Try clearing the cache and data on the Google Play app. I had an odd problem with installing this also but clearing the cache and data worked for me.

I am having this problem also. I cleared my cachebbut I still get the 941 error.
Sent from my A500 using xda premium
Just to be more specific:
It does not show in either the manage applications list in settings or in google play's list of downloaded apps as being installed. However in the market i only get the "update" option.
After clearing cache and data of google play, when i click on update i now get the following message "Error: Your order is processing, your item will be available in a few minutes"
For those that downloaded the leaked Google play store update 3.5.15 the updater will not download. So I uninstalled the play store update. I'm back to the 3.4.7 version and the updater loaded fine.

[Q] Google Play Services not working after Lollipop update

I just updated to Lollipop yesterday, and my phone has been having issues with Google Play Services since then. Once the phone had updated, I got notifications saying that it needed to be updated. I started the update and then the phone froze and restarted.
I currently have Google Play Services 6.6.03 (1681564-876) on my phone - but I don't think this is good for Lollipop. No apps that require play services will work, and the battery is draining very quickly. Anyone know how to uninstall this version and install the proper one (whichever that may be)? I don't have this phone rooted. When I try to change any settings with the app, it says that it does not have permission to do so - meaning I can't deactivate or uninstall updates.
Any help would be great!

Just an FYI I had some problems with the google play service crashing after the update to 5.0. I fixed it by installing the google play service from here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-google-play-services-t2795911
I used the "320 DPI, armeabi-v7a CPU & Android" version if that helps.
Good luck.

I gave it a shot, but it wouldn't work. It just says app did not install when I try. I tried using the link from apk mirror, but it was the same version that you recommended.
I assume you have enable unknown sources in settings?
Yeah, I've had them enabled.
Clear cache for Google Play Store and Google Play Services. Reboot then follow the prompt to update again. Worked for me yesterday.

Huawei Mate 9 MHA-AL00 Google Play download issue

Hi everyone,
I am running the FunkyHuawei Android 7.0, EMUI 5.0 version on my MHA-AL00. At the moment I am unable to download any Google Play apps (just says downloading without any progress), or get any data from from Google apps downloaded, e.g. Google Drive, Pushbullet, etc.
Everything seems to be working fine on my Android tablet with 5.1.1 and my friend's phone with 6.0. Please let me know if you guys are experiencing this. Thanks!
are you on WiFi? I experienced similar issue when I was on B165 fw I couldn't download anything using WiFi but after updating to B167 fw is working without any issues on both WiFi and mobile networks.
Make sure you have all permissions enable for google services, framework and play store, auto lunch and secondary lunch also enable. I noticed this can be an issue for google apps.
I experienced this behavior on Google play store with Chinese version. What I normally do is re-start the phone and the contents will bedownloaded instantly afterwards..

Yeah. I had basically the same issue. For some weird reason I had to leave my office, then everything worked. Wifi or cell network made no difference at the office. Very strange, but I'm just glad I didn't factory refresh my phone before leaving that day!
go to "hiapp" download the app "GMS安装器“, install it and restart your phone then your google play store will be work.
good luck

ZTE axon 7 Google problem

I just bought a new ZTE axon 7 model A2017G
Android version 7.1.1
Mi favor version 4.2
When i try to use google play it stucks on checking info
I searched it and i found out it's a common issue that can easily be solved with mi assistant. I didn't have mi assistant installed on device and after some searching found and apk link and downloaded it. I opened the mi assistant and in the few first seconds it worked and then crashed and every time i try to open it again it doesn't launch and says:
"When mi assistant is abnormal termination, please upload error report to us after restart it".
I tried to restart my phone and to erase and install the mi assistant again but the situation remained the same.
EDIT: I managed to download mi assistant that seem to be working and enabled Google Play Services, but it still stucks on checking info
Is there anyway to solve it? Please help as soon as possible because the phone is not usable without Google services.
Thanks.

I downloaded the file you sent and when i try to open the file it says "There was a problem parsing the package" and does nothing. Perhaps it's because i already have another version of Google play services installed?
EDIT: I downloaded another version (the right one for my device..) and now when i try to use the Google play services it's checking info and then says:
Couldn't sign in
There was a problem communicating with google servers.
Try again later.
Any idea about this one?

Android update and what model

Hi can anyone help please. I have a Chinese head unit that keeps crashing when I try to log into google or the App Store. Wonder if it is better to reflash it and upgrade the os. I can’t find out what make or model it is. Thanks
Of course! The only solution is to update.
And have you tried clearing memory and app data first, uninstalling play store and google service updates or restoring factory settings?
Reveal what you've done so far.

H, yes I’ve factory reset it and also cleared data and still won’t let me log in. When I try I get 1 letter in the username and it just crashes.
Download the latest version for android 8.1 manually from apkmirror store and google services. Allow installation in settings and install services first, then store.
