[Q] |Help Root / ROM

I just bought a Galaxy Y GT-S5360B and I'm undecided whether or not root.
I wonder if ROMs modified for better battery saving and speed considerably, and if yes what do you recommend me ...
.. and if possible leave the link everything necessary for rooting and installing a rom modified from reliable sources.
and which android version do you recommend me to upgrade, or not should I upgrade ...
I would let my cellphone the lightest possible, disable all useless apps and effects appeared among other things that consume processing.
.. I think I'll lose my warranty

Don't need to root ur stock firmware for flashing roms. The thing u need is a custom recovery.
I can't tell u which rom to use coz comparing roms isn't allowed & we should respect the hard work of our DEVs.
I can only tell u that each rom has its own pros & cons. So, better to read the rom features (in the 1st post of every rom thread) & further read the comments regarding the same. You may find pretty much info there.
Good Luck!!!:thumbup::thumbup:

1.) Read the features and research on how they work and what they do
2.) Rooting is harmless unless you modify system apps and files
3.) Read instructions carefully and know what to do, if in doubt don't hesitate to ask the developer,
4.) Be aware of the bugs that are present in the rom
5.) Perform backup for your data

de-google-ized, S-pen enabled ROM recommendation ?

What are the options for de-google-ized and S-pen compatible ROM for SG Note 3 / SM-G935F? Ideally, Marshmallow based, though Lollipop is OK. Or will it be possible to install CyanogenMod / derivates and add system level s-pen functionality
Currently using Norma v29 / 5.1.1 with too many apps frozen with Titanium Backup / blocked with AFwall+ .
Thank you in advance for any recommendation!
This is not SM-G935F forum .
De Googlized ?? do you mean no Android ??

My mistake - the device is SM-N9005. I guess the info displayed in settings -> about is changed from the current ROM

I mean Android without Google-specfic stuff like Google Play store services / Google Contacts Sync / Gmail / etc. For example AOSP-based.
Thank you for your reply!
OK - to revive /and conclude/ the thread - whitelist mode with AFWall+ & freezing / uninstalling apps with TitaniumBackup still seems to be the most suitable option for me - not only with Note 3

Lenovo A3500-F questions for ROMs, safe mode, multiuser etc.

Hi everybody,
for this one I am still looking for some solution to either switch off save mode or setup multiple users / profiles.
As posted here I could not get multiple users/profiles to work.
Also switching off safe mode is not possible with installed ROM.
So can please someone tell me whether I can update the ROM (e.g. using a custom firmware or so) or how to be able to setup multiple profiles / users which are working?
Thanx in advance!
Bye

How to disable the bloatware and built-in apps?

I just got my first Xiaomi device which is a Redmi 4X. I hate the constant nags from the Feedback MUI Forum and whatnot. I also cannot disable many of the apps.
Please guide me how to do this. My phone is not rooted and I don't know how to root
This section is for markw. Post in Redmi 4x section for better help.
You can try system app remover apps like Titanium Backup to uninstall bloatwares.

Rom without much Google spyware?

Hello guys,
I would like to know if there is a list of files that can be removed from ROM's (Oreo) that are associated with Google tracking/data collection (other than inentionally installed apps e.g. maps) .
I have an app called "nobloat" but to know what files to remove is the question!
Basic idea is to reduce spyware, save battery life and enhance privacy, if its possible!
I am open to suggestions for other Rom's that have been developed for privacy purposes. I currently am using Superman Rom (Oreo).
Thanks in advance.
