I'm working hard to provide users with acceptable performance. But unfortunately, due to the year of launch of the Redmi 5 Plus (and its chipset), this becomes difficult.

Please download AnTuTu Lite, test the performance. (I know that AnTuTu is not the best way to measure performance, but I want to use it as a reference.)
I want to make a performance comparison between the version you are using and the new build, which I am uploading.

Right now, I'm uploading a new build, with improved graphics-related drivers - which should improve performance. Very soon it will be available on AndroidFileHost.

I believe that the slowness you are referring to is caused by Google Live Wallpapers. Disable it by applying a regular wallpaper.

When I was preparing to start the compilation, I chose to leave Security-Enhanced Linux (SELinux) in Enforcing mode. When it's in this mode — and for some hardware-related things to work properly, such as camera, Wi-Fi, RIL, GPS, etc —, SELinux policies must be completely configured. However, when I compiled, only part (most of it) was done.
I intend to solve the problem soon with the fingerprint reader policy. But for now, you can switch SELinux to Permissive mode by flashing this: Permissiver_v5

The photos do not work, and I would like to be able to update directly from ota and customize the icons of the status bar such as the battery for example or the clock, the rest very well I have not had any problem

Hello i would like to suggest this optimization if possible be implemented:
Implement Zram and disable swap see: here
Able to downgrade the screen resolution from default 1080p to 720 because our chipset runs on non kryo 14nm budget adreno 506 gpu which taxes our gpu process making it heavier and make battery worse
Make the default cpu kernel to hotplugg saves battery and performance
Fully odex system and vendor for storage and battery optimization
fix the the graphics drivers not detected the adreno one and vulkan
Change the default dpi from 480 to 440 our processordoes not have performance left for that big dpi

can you share any mirror android file host is super slow ima test this and give feedback

The problem with Google Photos, I believe, is related to the version of the application.
As for OTA updates, they'll be available when I become the maintainer (or someone else).
The Pixel Experience team made available only the source code of the Standard edition. I believe that they have been working on the Plus edition for some time, and that it should be available soon — some customizations will be available on it.
(Download the new build.)

ZRAM was already implemented, but the size was set to be 50% of the RAM size. Thus, on devices with 3GB, the ZRAM was left with 1.5GB, and on devices with 4GB of RAM, 2GB. But I made a change, now the ZRAM has 2GB regardless of the device.
With me, the graphics drivers are being detected normally, as attached.

I don't know what to say.... i've never tried firefox os before and... it just looks so beautiful! thank you for getting this running on the xsp! if firefox os somehow ends up running android apps i'm sold
EDIT: is it safe to say that the camera doesn't work at all? or i get stuck on a black screen or the app launches but there is no picture! i thought oh it's bugged so it should work 1/10 times lol

small review:
UI: fast and responsive, problem: the ui images don't look to sharp they are low quality (is this a resolution issue or is it just firefox os?)
APPS: not many apps but apps like facebook, twitter, youtube do exist (youtube bug: can't change video to 720p, only 480p i think) even though the apps are just like web pages they work fine
Networking: WI-FI, 3g, bluetooth all work, LTE doesn't work but i don't have lte in my country (only on certain places)
Overall feel: the os is good and smooth and it has a lot of potential but it's not yet ready for consumers (i'm gonna use this os for about 2 days and then i'll decide if i wanna switch back) but if the os ends up being able to run android apps i'm definitely sold!
BUGS: camera and lte do not work but fm radio, video, audio, gps and most stuff actually works (good job devs) the camera is a little glitched right now (safe to say it doesn't work at all) it can crash you phone so i don't recommend using the camera app till a fix has been announced
I recommend people to give this a shot but not to use it as a daily driver (yet)

Yes the apps are supposed to be web-apps , about the Camera & LTE yes , i've indicated under bugs that it is currently not working
Great to see another Singaporean here on XDA!
Anyways, don't you think this should be in the Android Development Section?
Here's what I think of this ROM (Or should I refer it to as an OS?)
Fast
Smooth
Quite Buggy at times
SINGTEL LTE DOESNT WORK RARRR :silly:
Overall great experience
Very Early to say if this will work out and it sadly isn't ok to use as a day-to-day type of OS so I decided to revert back to my own rom. BUT if the more game breaking bugs such as random lags and the weird battery drains, it should deserve to be in my favourite ROMs. Hope to be able to see this ROM bug-free and such. Do consult devs here because some of them may just be smart enough to be able to help with this development. See you around this little red dot!
Regards,
Furrydaus
Awesome work will try soon :good:

this is a firefox os problem, all icons are 60px per 60, the only way to get sharp graphics would be to increase the number of icons per rows

Well, as a fun fact when I was playing Godfire on the M9 with my gamepad some friends asked me if I had a PS3 emulator or something. While I found that exaggerated, I'd say adreno 430 has indeed a great graphical capability, sadly there are very few games to explode its full potential
the M9 and its GPU is a gaming beast and its true that we dont have many games optimized for it, infact some old games like Riptide GP2 doesnt use it properly (you need to manually boost CPU governor)
but Modern combat 5 and Godfire are the best showcase so far

Was looking at that but i'm seriously dubious about downloading any "free to play" games, so long as you can complete the game in the intended time and you don't have advantages taken away from you, that fine, but when you are forced to buy i think they should just offer a paid version.
Or low and behold, a choice?!?!? wouldn't that be a turn up.

opengl 3.2???

Hi guys, i noticed that some s7 edge and note 7 exynos devices have opengl v3.2 graphics driver but here mine s7 edge (g935w8) have opengl v3.1?? I dont know why? Can you guys please confirm that is only me having the older version or all the other models have v3.1?

The firmware update isn't just security update.
It did update the security to 01.08, but added few more features, including samsung cloud, new gallery app from note 7, and new mali GPU drivers, r12p1 (which support opengl v3.2).
If you have the exynos model, check this thread for more info:

Because what written on the changelog is what samsung officially wrote.
Just read the last 3-4 pages of this thread, you'll get the information.
By the way, Why is it so important to you?
I mean, why do you care about the support for V3.2?
The driver work better and get better benchmark scores, but I don't see any app that demand V3.2 for it to work.

Yes i saw that.....well i know that there's no app or any game requires opengl v3.2 but you will see the difference in the gpu benchmark definitely coz the note 7 exyonos (mali t880) having opengl v3.2 scores around 46000 in case of 3d benchmark but my s7 edge having open gl v 3.1 scores around 41000...so i think both the devices have same processor but different results in 3d benchmark.....Hence it concludes that gpu version may affect the overall benchmark score. Btw i dont get august update coz of ****in delay by bell in canada..so i will wait and test it in future whether there is an improvement in 3d benchmark score or not.

You have the Snapdragon version, right?
BTW, samsung DVFS make the actual gaming performance of this phone crap. Don't trust benchmark.
Without custom kernel (ImageBreaker), DVFS limits the cpu clock after few minutes of gameplay. Games that are more intensive, work really bad.
For exynos users like me, the only solution is ImageBreaker kernel, or set the governor to performance.

Who told you that nonsense?
It's the other way around...
Stock kernel is really bad gaming performance wise.
Just try to play NFS No Limits, Or tekken 6 using PPSSPP. The lag is horrible, from the first second.
That was the main reason for rooting my phone, and now I've discovered so many great features only available after rooting/replacing rom and kernel.
Believe me, you won't regret it. It's your call.

Kernel Adiutor Settings (~8h sot and colour profiles)

Kernel profiles are just useful if you use overload kernel for nougat or get adreno idler somehow.
Separate Colour profile amoled, night and day:
- just contents a display profile to set colour to vivid or night or an in between day setting
I now realized that phones really need many cores instead of my pc because running lots of cores at a small frequency is much better then less cores with high and heating frequencies, lol.
Fluidness of Game profile checked with pes manager at high def and regless racing 2, I know there is tougher gpu stuff out there, but ehm ah just forget about it
All thanx to Mr Renji for his wonderful highly recommended kernel and I don't think these settings would work this well without his optimizations.
Thx again, and again, and again to Mr. Daniel for almost making us feel like we had bought a bitcoin last year
I am also using high performance accu profile in settings, no need for me to change back and forth for good battery drain.

Gaming: geekbench 1000/3400 antutu 69000
Additional settings:
One stepping is corrected from 79 to 150 mb in the final.zip!
:highfive: :victory:  :highfive: :victory:
Profiles as seen above in profiles combo final zip.
If you need more power maybe first switch from hexa to octa core in cpu hotplug section :good:
For those who don't like changing profiles and with improved adreno settings: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75927595&postcount=44

Thx, I'm keen on over, under and elsewhere clocking since nvidia 6800 LE.
Just give me some settings sliders
Edit: After all I can't believe what kind of a great performance and battery drain can be delivered with a 28nm cpu, with a good os and optimzations
Hi, can we apply these profiles to any kernel and any rom, or it is specific to overload??

Hey, I think it is better than the standart frequency settings, overload does cpu undervolt and gives adreno idler, which is reducing msm adreno tz governor to very low gpu frequency in unused diplay moments... which seems to be very useful. Just if I understand erverything right
Added a vivid max display setting I am using for gaming in the beginning post. Happy X-Mas out there :good:

You can easily go to profiles and choose import instead of create in kernel adiutor.
They should contain just a few changes for cpu, cpu hotplug and gpu, no risk

I now remember that you will have "problems" with system profile, because there is no relaxed governor for big cores usually (added by overload kernel) maybe you should choose on demand there, which should be a bit more energy saving than interactive... just guessing

Lol because it would be annoying telling every new group member everything again and again maybe?
And on xda every post which is older then the last three gets ignored, which leads to the telling again and again, too.
No way out

Just ask bro, it may help somebody else too. Try to describe as detailed as possible what you did and what is the problem now. Worst thing that can happen is to get ignored.
Nice One!
Trying it on illusionKernel v3.1 Final Beta xD
Which profile should I need to use to get 8hrs sot (As you mentioned)?

I don't like sluggishness of the phone. Sometimes it takes very long time to switch between the apps. You open app, for minute or so black screen and only then it loads.
Finally, a good successor of Pixel Experience
Looks really good ?
I was looking for something like this, but all of the custom ROMs out there wasn't that good tbh...
Currently downloading this ROM, I will be back with my final review.
Great ROM ?
This is by far the BEST Android 11 ROM for Vince
Everything works great and has the perfect balance between customization and stability, and of course the "Google Experience" that almost all of us love
Thank you so much for making this ROM for our old friend Vince
I have noticed that the bootanimation doesn't fit properly, so I'm using this one:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-4/themes/bootanimation-logo-pixel-2-t3695900
supports dual sim/dual app?

Yes, this ROM supports dual SIM but doesn't have Dual Apps because all AOSP ROMs doesn't have that, not even Pixel based ROMs

It's... OK
I mean, it's very good for a custom ROM and can last all day with a regular use
But for this phone it can be much better than that. This ROM is great, but still need optimization (Is just the first build)
I've tried this rom for several days.
Good rom overall, except some small lags when switching over apps.
And some things to fix is the lags.
One more thing, can you add fast charging support?
I love this rom. Waiting for second build!
