[DIFFICULT CASE] Mi A1 "Can't load Android system. Your data may be corrupt." after update, what can I do? - Xiaomi Mi A1 Questions & Answers

Hello wonderful people, here is my drama:
yesterday I updated my Xiaomi Mi A1 (tissot) with Android ONE to V10.0.24.0.PDHMIXM from the Android system menu. Android downloaded the update, rebooted, installed it and since then I can no longer access my phone, it is stuck at boot time showing the message:
Can't load Android System. Your data may be corrupt.
- Try again
- Factory data reset

}
I no longer care about this phone, but only about all the data that I have inside, photos since more than 2 years (I know I am super stupid for not making backups, I am feeling like trash right now), so factory reset is not an option because will destroy and re-encrypt the /data partition which is what I want to mount in the PC.
What I tried:
- I accessed Android Recovery and launched "Apply update from SD card" for installing again the same version miui_TISSOT_V10.0.24.0.PDHMIXM_bcbbe1fad4_9.0.zip but after launching the install it shows the message: E:Error in /sideload/package.zip (Status 1). Installation aborted. and does not solve anything.
The current status of my phone:
- I can not boot into Android, but I can access the Android Recovery and fastboot screens
- I am a normal user, so I never activated hacker options, so I have:
-> Default bootloader that came with the phone
-> No root access
-> No USB debugging option activated
-> No Developer options activated
I have read a lot of tutorials on the Internet and posts in this forum about recovery with tools like adb and fastboot, but all seem to need one or many of the hacker options activated in order to work.
Is there guys anything that I can do for activating the hacker options and then trying something else to mount /data in my PC or boot Android?
Thanks so so much in advance.

What recovery do you use???
Thanks for your response.
I'm a complete newbie.
I'm not sure, how do I find out ?
All I did was install the standard ROM by downloading it, copy it to the sd card and restarting whilst pressing Vol+, Vol- & the power button on my U8650.
Then I rooted it by restarting whilst holding down Vol+ & Power and then selecting the root.zip.
After that I tried the same with your zip !!
That's all I've done since I've had the phone.
OK, not so much of a newbie anymore.
Managed to install a CWM and then your ROM
Seems a bit slower. But it's beautiful.

Please Help ME
It seems a problem with Windows rather than with your phone.
First of all don't worry, there are very high chances that you will recover the phone in working state. I worked for over a year with MTK devices, they brick very easily but it's also easy to unbrick.
It's a signature error, not a driver error. I remember Windows has somewhere the option to disable signature checking for drivers. Disable it, then after installing this driver you can re-enable it if you want.
I assume you are able to proceed from this step on, once phone is recognized by PC. If I'm wrong, feel free to ask
To Install Driver without Signature error.
This will Help u to install driver without signature.
What to do:
1. Hold down the Windows key on your keyboard and press the letter C to open the Charm menu, then click the gear icon (Settings).
2.Click More PC Settings.
3. Click General.
4. Under Advanced Startup, click Restart Now.
NOTE: In Windows 8.1, the ‘Restart Now’ button has moved to ‘PC Setting -> Update & Recovery -> Recovery.’
5. After restarting, click Troubleshoot.
6. Click Advanced Options.
7. Click Windows Startup Settings.
8. Click Restart.
9. After restarting your computer a second time, choose Disable driver signature enforcement from the list by typing the number 7 on your keyboard.
10. After restarting, you will be able to install the drivers normally; however, Windows will display a warning message. When the warning appears, click Install this driver software anyway.
You are now complete. I hope this will help you. Good Luck..

Axon 7 Nougat Root

Hello guys.
What is the status about the root / bootloader unlock for Axon 7 running nougat?
these are the specs of my phone right now, and to be honest, after many years of being an iPhone owner I feel kinda lost regarding the root techniques.

NP just read Controllerboy's guide if you have an A2017G.
But before that, be warned about 2 things:
Your data will be wiped after you unlock the bootloader, and if you unlock it you'll probably be wiping and trying ZIPs every once in a while, so get used to backing up stuff and using Google for contacts etc.
That guide was for Marshmallow I think. You can download version B10 or B11 from ZTE's website, then unpack it until you get an update.zip (it should come as a zip with a bunch of numbers, and inside it there's a zip matrioska'd inside). Put it on the root of your internal storage (root means outside of any folder) and go to Settings the Updates. It should find the zip and install it. After that go to Developer options (to enable it go to About phone and tap Build number a buncha times, then it should appear above About phone) and enable Enable OEM Unlock. Now you have Marshmallow and can use the guide.
Another way is doing all the procedure up there but using axon7toolkit instead of that guide. Never used it for this procedure but it should work just fine and do the same. You can get more experience from using the guide though, and that experience may come in handy if you ever tinker too much

Gapps is bugged / TWRP does not recognize its own backup (x722)

hello, I require your help to operate my cell phone, I'll tell you step by step what I've done... [it is obvious that my native language is not English]
first, i installed TWRP following this tutorial https://forum.xda-developers.com/le-pro3/how-to/leeco-le-pro-3-root-t3476560
second, backup the complete system with twrp 3.1.1-0 (O.S. 5.8.0.20S Stable, android 6.0.1, Banggood international version). This left me a folder full of files which twrp does not recognize when I want to install that backup again.

}
third, Install the ROM by following this tutorial https://forum.xda-developers.com/le...ent--and-mods/stock-eui-5-8-20s-x722-t3680624 Something seems strange to me that when I run the .bat, the phone reboots in a couple of seconds and the only change I see is that it installs the original recovery, since everything else stays the same, even the system version (EUI version: 5.8.001D (Dev))
Finally install S.U. official (all correct), and OpenGApps, use the Stock and Nano (ARM64, Android 6.0) versions, and both show error when starting the system,
does not allow me to do anything (attached image).
So here I am, with a new cellphone, without being able to restore the copy made with twrp, using a EUI developer version, and without being able to install the Gapps.
---I would greatly appreciate your help---
I have just solved my problem, since after installing my TWRP backup (which I was taught a little recently), It could not start because asked for a false password, then, without deleting anything, i installed from fastboot the ROM X722-5.8.020S-by-Batyan, that is here in xda, and arranged.

Great news. You don't need to do anything. You've done your part. :good: Just leave it up for people in the future to look at and learn from.

SM-A510F : Forgotten lock pattern

Hey guys,
I'm posting here as a last resort before a factory reset.
By the way, let me first say that I'm sorry to post this here, as I know it's SO stupid, what's happening.
I had the same lock pattern for 2 years now, never had a problem.
Last week, it just fell out my mind completely. I've been trying for 4 days straight to remember it.
It's quite a complicated one, with the pattern tracing deactivated so I can't remember the shape and my thumb tried with its motor memory but to no avail :x
The thing is, I extensively use the notepad stock app (Samsung Notes ? Android Notes ?) and I have a **** TON of info I REALLY don't want to lose. And it's not on the SD card, ofc.
I don't care much about the rest, to be honest.
Fun fact, I only synced contacts via the android sync function.
So how can I either remove the lock pattern or access my phone files with an explorer on my computer (I guess I can find a memory file for the notepad somewhere), knowing that :
- Not rooted
- USB debugging not activated
- Not registered with Samsung account
- Android version is the latest available in France for an SM-A510F as I do all updates
I can provide as much as I can to prove my ownership of the phone if needed.
Thank you for reading and maybe for helping.
You have absolutely every right to laugh to my (dumb) face.
EDIT :
Just tried something else. Booted in recovery to try an ADB command.
Since Windows didn't recognize the phone in recovery mode, I selected the option "Load package with ADB" or something like that.
Now the phone was listed in devices on ADB and I tried this : adb shell rm /data/system/gesture.key
Result : error.
Great.
So since the phone was unresponsive to any button, I waited and there was a timeout on the package load.
BUT NOW...
I have a blue screen that says "Error!" and it's completely unresponsive.
GREAT.
I'm off to work, read you soon.
XOXO
