Bricked CPN-W09 Bootloop - Huawei Mediapad M3 Questions & Answers

Hey all,
After attempting to install TWRP and Lineage on my M3, it seems I put it into a boot loop. I can get into recovery/rescue mode but that's about it.
I've so far tried the dload method as well as this method but can't seem to find the last few files I need! The linked thread that mentions a Huawei Multi-Tool looks promising but the UPDATE.APP file I have doesn't have a SYSTEM.IMG or CUST.IMG file. Does anyone know where I can find these? I've tried flashing just the BOOT.IMG and RECOVERY.IMG files I have, but afterward I'm still stuck in the loop.
I'm not sure what to try anymore to get it out of the loop it's in, I can't get to a recovery. Please let me know if anyone has suggestions, otherwise it looks like I might have to get a new tablet. Thanks!

This issue was fixed by using the Multi-Tool software mentioned previously to flash an older version of TWRP, 3.2.0-0 then flash Lineage 16.0 from there.

phone bricked? Need help!

Hi guys massive android noobie here!
I really hope you guys can help me cause I am desperate!
This is what happened: I tried to manually update my phone B200 to B313. I had no luck with the update.zip so I tried the update.app (superstupid). As you guys might know, this resulted in a bootloop.
I downloaded Huawei firmware extractor and adb. I have two problems on top of a not working phone:
1: when i try to extract my firmware i just get a system.img, no boot.img or the other one you need
2: i managed to unlock my bootloader, but whenever i use adb devices it stays empty, fastboot reboot works though... weird
How do I get my lovely device working again?
Kind regards,
Jurgen
Flash B200 again with 3 button method, should work
Extract zip files and copy update.app on SD card, in dload folder

I tried to do something similar, although I screwed it up even further. Prior to attempting this entire process, I was using GRA-L09 build B171. After attempting to install B317 from B171, I got stuck in a bootloop between the Huawei logo and TWRP. I realized that my mistake was probably because I had TWRP instead of the stock ROM. Therefore, I downloaded the B170 full firmware and extracted the B170 files. I tried to use fastboot to flash boot.img system.img and recovery.img according to bihsik's guide, but fastboot could never recognize my device. So I decided to be "smart" and transfer Boot.img and recovery.img from the B170 firmware to my dload folder on my external sd card on the phone and install them directly from TWRP.
This screwed everything up, and now I'm stuck in Rescue Mode with "Error! Func NO : 11 (recovery image) Error NO : 2 (load failed!)"
I've searched google and XDA forums and have tried the methods here and here but without any luck.
Is there a way to fix my phone?

Just be Care full in choosing the Firmware , if your firmware doesn't match , then the 3 Button method will stop at 5%.

Problem after root attempt

Hello,
I tried to root my P8 Lite, which is something I've already done on a lot of other smartphones. So I first unlocked my bootloader, then I tried to follow a guide to root it. Everything was going smooth, but when I hit enter for the last time into the command line (at this point of the process, it just installed superSU) my phone rebootd and stucked on the huawei logo. After 20mn I decided it was enough, I unplugged it and hard rebooted it, but still stuck on huawei logo.
Since this, I wasn't able to reboot my phone, nor enter the fastboot/rescue mode. Now I tried on more time to enter the fastboot, and I don't know why but after a few time it showd up !
So basically my phone is now on fastboot mode, unlocked, and I come here to seek answers about the method to flash it and start again with a fresh android. I don't even know where to find the correct rom to flash, nor how to flash, if for instance I should use adb, etc.
If someone here is able to help me, that would be greatly appreciated.
By the way, I manually updated the phone to android 6 and EMUI 4.
Thank you a lot for enlightments.
Hello! Since you are in fastboot mode you can easily fix the issue. Just download a stock rom you wanna flash and use (you can try the new B588) and with the Huawei Update Extractor, extract the boot.img, recovery.img, cust.img, system.img from the UPDATE.APP file. Then flash these in the order i wrote them (using the fastboot command for example:
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
, same thing for all of these just change the file names). That is how i fixed my last 2-3 bootloops. I would suggest looking here first though: https://forum.xda-developers.com/p8lite/general/mega-thread-root-unbricking-updating-t3400994 on Chapter 4. Hope this helps and good luck
Hi,
Thank you for your answer.
Problem is now, my phone ran out of bttery so not in fastboot mode anymore and I just can't figure out how to go back in fastboot anymore.
I tried to power on the phone while pressing vol up, wait for the huawei logo and wait for ten more seconds, nothing except a black screen. I tried vol down, both vol up and down, still nothing. Thing is, yesterday I don't even know how I managed to enter fastboot, I just tried, didn't work, so I put my phone on the bed, and ten minuts later I realized it was on fastboot mode. Informatics huh.
If you have any idea on how to go back in fastboot mode, I tried using adb, but it needs the phone to reach systm to be able to reboot.
By the way you talked about a specific rom, where can I find this one ?
Thank you again for your time.
EDIT : Ok I managed to reach fastboot, what I did was to plug it on my laptop, powered off, then pressed vol down and power on, and it worked. Informatics has its reasons...
Still interested into the rom ou talked. I'll try to find it on my own though. But if you got a link, I would be happy to download it.
EDIT2 : Ok I tried to flash, everything went good, but my huawei is still in its bootloop. I extracted the B588 rom, but there was way more than 4 img files. I still flashed only the four you and the link you gave me told me, but maybe I need to flash more than these 4 ?
Try this https://forum.xda-developers.com/p8lite/general/mega-thread-root-unbricking-updating-t3400994 <-- follow the " Bootloop/Softbrick" method if you cannot install the latest firmware directly. You may need to flash original recovery first too. Any recovery version will do they are all the same, find the how too under the "install TWRP" section, but basically it goes "enter fastboot, type fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" while you have recovery.img in the same directory.
[edit]
Also, if you are on MM you should not be using a batch file to root. Once you have TWRP installed, you need to flash 2 zips via TWRP. They can also be found in the mega thread.

Single stable SuperSu v2.76 also works for builds less than b580.. For builds greater than that, use 2 zips method
Well, it obviously didn't

Possible to flash twrp in edl mode?

I'm on build b25 right now, bootloader is unlocked looking for a way to flash twrp recovery. I have heard its possible but there are two issues I am having, maybe someone can help me work through it or point out the obvious that i have no idea whats in front of me. so:
A. I for the life of me cannot seem to find a miflash that works for me, no matter what version i try to use it either doesnt find the device or says there is some error with the file no matter what i pick including the b19 edl full flash
B. I tried using the various axon7tools utilities to flash twrp to the recovery partition in edl mode and they all failed.
Am I missing something or its just something that cant be done right now?
tried using this guide here https://forum.xda-developers.com/axon-7/development/axon7tool-flash-backup-boot-recovery-t3514254 even though its a little old but i used the latest twrp from here https://forum.xda-developers.com/axon-7/development/recovery-official-twrp-zte-axon-7-t3515715 and this also failed. it did however allow me to make a backup of the stock recovery?
Nevermind! I somehow did it! ha ha using that guide. you gotta follow the guide to a T but you do not have to mess with the boot.img only mess with the recovery. rename the latest recovery from my previous post to "recovery.bin" place it in the same folder as the axon7tool.exe and when running the command do not put "axon7tools -w recovery recovery.bin" only put "axon7tools -w recovery" it took quite a few times but twrp seems to be installed correctly!
better twrp https://dl.twrp.me/ailsa_ii/twrp-3.1.0-0-ailsa_ii.img.html

Edit:Btw there is no full Huawei Nova 2i Nougat Firmware only Oreo Firmware(From Firmware Finder Made By TeamMT)

Soft Bricked PRA-LX1 (I guess? :D)

Alright here goes another post from another stupid user who did things without understanding
I know there are hundreds of other threats with the same question,I tried to check them but they are damn many and I am confused. I hope no moderator gets angry at me.
I have PRA-LX1 which had EMUI 8 working fine. and then I decided that I am too young to have an old Android and decided to go for LineageOS 17.1 from DarkJoker360. After couple of unsuccessful attempts and some minor things I ave a phone that goes into fastboot, but not TWRP. keeps bootlooping (I tried a stock recovery for oreo and then was able to shut it down when it prompted eRecovery page, otherwise it kept looping). Bootloader unlocked. (I was able to get so many different TWRPs to work on the phone just few hours ago, and I guess I did not do anything that bad either. )
I saw these posts about getting the boot.img and other images from some Huawei Firmware finder, but not sure how to get them and I am not sure how can I check the exact model of the phone (I guess it is PRA-LX1xxxxxx)
Sorry if I am not giving enough info, I would appreciate if you ask
Resolved. I am not sure what was the issue, but I did followings (writing down just in case this will be helpful).
PRA-LX1 c464. Bootloader unlocked. I was not able to get into TWRP. I was able to get into fastboot. eRecovery from Huawei was not doing anything (cannot get info from server it said).
Then I downloaded the FullOTA-MF
dload method was getting interrupted after 5%.
Then I extracted System.img kernel.img, recovery_ramdis.img and ramdiks.img. and flashed these in order.
System – fastboot flash system SYSTEM.IMG
Ramdisk – fastboot flash ramdisk RAMDISK.IMG
Kernel – fastboot flash kernel KERNEL.IMG
Recovery – fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk RECOVERY_RAMDIS.IMG
Then at reboot it was getting stuck at 0% loading (Warning To avoid system error please do not press and hold the power button) on some EMUI page. Waited for half an hour and rebooted. again stuck. went into bootloader and flashed a TWRP. this time I get into TWRP.
From there dload method to go back to EMUI and installed LineageOS afterwards.
