Hi guys as the title says. I'm looking some advice of any compatible roms available for my android headunit. Its currently running android 10 however the stock firmware isn't great and I would like to try something different for it. I believe there are many different 8227l roms and not all compatible with all devices which is whay worries me. I've searched and searched but cannot find anything that i believe to be compatible, there are so many different types. Mcu etc. Etc. I don't want to flash something and brick my device. I've taken some photos of the system I hope this helps and thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide

When I asked the seller if there were any updates he says I was in the latest update. He send me a copy of the firmware and its named
8227L_8UI01-国外10_v2_20191115

You could flash any firmware if it was made for the same processor and wifi chip you got on your r39 box
Has anyone found any better custom ROMs for this box yet?
I'm still looking but from what I've found out is, there's a few boxes which is exactly the same as this... I.e. hardware and firmware, just a different case with a different name.
As stated above, you should be able to flash any firmware that's been made for the Rockchip RK3229 SoC and the same WiFi chip.
I suspect that all the issues with these boxes are down to the firmware. I've seen milk turn quicker than turning this box on and loading apps.
I had the same issue on a different box a few years ago. Changed the ROM and it was like a different thing altogether. I've read the same could be said for this.
So if I do find any, I'll post a link. Also, I'll give feedback on how well it preforms.
However, if anyone has any links please post or point in the right direction.

I'm new on the Android Car radio. I already intalled the unit all is functioning well. But mine came with the version 6.0 of android. The seller already sent me a lot of firmwares to flash but or they didnt run or the one it worked kept the radio on 6.0 version. (8227L UI06-firmware_v14_20190219.zip) - I uncompressed the two files for the root f the external sd.
Anyone have a firmware for this model? I can send the name the firmware that seller sent me that worked but kept the model on 6.
FOr updating the seller told me to make a reset and put five fingers on the screen.
By the way I was waiting for the update to see if the function will appear but this firmware doesnt have a favorite contacts widget so it's easy to call contacts. I tried some alternatives from google play but when dialingit said i cant find the phone app. Anyone knows an alternative to solve this situation.

search thread for 8227l firmware or youtube ighostsgunnaz. i believe i have android 9 file that is for touch only. i needed file for touch and key press (volume knob). am uploading zip fiiles to file share host now hope u see and it helps.

I want to port the J120W firmware (Android 6.0) to the J120x phones (Android 5.1.1). I have both firmware files and I only see a difference in overall size of the partitions.
After updating my Android Dev Tools I've fixed CSC, boot.img, and system.img. I don't know what to do with the J120W references in the configuration files, I could change those to refer to any other J120 model. Nonetheless I want to test the firmware without said changes and see what odin, or hopefully logcat has to say. The firmware "should" be ready to flash, but I can't seem to find the phone to do so.
If you want to help beta test the firmware, hit me up.
Update: It works!, It's booting up!. Bluetooth pairing and 4G support both seem to be broken. I think I can easily fix that.

Not yet, I've tried many things but both Bluetooth and 4G are broken. It also has wifi and battery problems.
It seems like these problems can only be solved by making an appropiate rom from the extracted resources of this firmware. The problem is that I don't know how to do that. I've tried before to no avail.

When I bought it, the seller customer service was great and they always helped with firmware etc back in 2018..
Their staff may have changed since then, for I have tried to ask if there is new firmware, they read my messages, but never reply..
Would anyone here know the lastest firmware for this model headunit?

Hello . New here and have a question hopefully someone can help me with.
I have an aftermarket single din Android head unit which I believe is made by XTRONS. It has been working great up until recently when I noticed that more and more apps are not running as the Android OS is outdated. I just wanted to know if anyone has information on how to update it please. The simpler the better if I'm honest as I'm not great at these things. A complete how to guide would be perfect if anyone knows if one exists.
I'm guessing it's just a case of downloading the correct update file (something I would appreciate help finding as don't want to end up bricking the unit), and putting it on a memory card which you then put in the GPS memory card slot in the head unit?
