Huawei P9 Lite VNS-L31 Completly Bricked

Hi, I'm in a sticky situation
I downloaded a custom recovery (revolution custom recovery) and wanted to install lineage 14.1 on my phone. I installed everything properly and still my phone doesn't get past the startup animation. After that I thought it was because of the recovery so I installed I TWRP (which should be compatible) through the existing recovery. And now. I'm stuck between loading screens and don't know what to do. I managed to get to the erecovery of EMUI and charged up my phone. Since I don't want to break anything else I'm asking for help.
Change data partition to ext4.
How yo recover
Flash sotck EMUI rom from consumer.huawei.com using 3 buttons method. You'll be able yo use your phone, but I think Google services doesn't work (in my case) so try again yo flash lineageOS. Good luck

Hello dude, ok you got L31 model phone, but, except for Revolution recovery,
you did not give any more info about the firmware you had before flash custom recovery.
Neither info you wrote about lineageOS and other TWRP you tried to flash.
No one can help you without these basically info, so post here...
Best Regards

Restore to stock via TWRP???

I'm on AEX 4.6 and I'd like to know if there's a way to restore stock via TWRP? if so, plz give me the link to download the rom. Unfortunatly, my miflash is crashing and making EDL method not usable. (Sorry for the english)

well, miflash is not the only one, you could also try EDL Tool from right here (ROMs, kernels, development thread).
But yeah, you can. I wonder why you are still in AEX 4.6, but I guess you still haven't got a vendor partition. If that's the case just download a flashable zip of the stock ROM that you want (would've been real handy if you told us what model you have) and flash it away

I'm just saying that you are on an ancient ROM. What's that AEX version, Nougat?
Right now I'm on AEX 6.0 Pie. But yeah, i was just curious.
You will probably need to format your internal storage, but maybe you won't need it. Just do this: After installing the ROM (whatever you decide, EDL Tool or TWRP) install Magisk too, BEFORE BOOTING FOR THE FIRST TIME (If EDL Tool, simply flash the ROM, then tell it not to reboot, flash TWRP, enter TWRP, and flash Magisk; if directly from TWRP just flash magisk right away). This will prevent your internal storage from getting encrypted.
Remember to WIPE DATA AND CACHE BEFORE FLASHING
Anyhow if your phone asks you for a password that doesn't really exist when you try to boot, you'll have to format the internal storage

What TWRP version should I use?

Hi guys, I have 2 more weeks of waiting until I can unlock my bootloader.
I don't even want to flash a new rom (since debloating MIUI 10 seems pretty fine to me) but I want to root it, therefor I need TWRP (also thinking about flashing the xiaomi.eu rom since I can update it via TWRP as well).
Long story short: what TWRP version is the current one (functional and not in chinease) since there is nothing available on twrp.me and I'm not really sure what's up.
Thank you so much for your reply! Cheers! :fingers-crossed:
You can use the one made by josalaito, you can find it in the ROMs section. Or you can use the one in the Xiaomi.EU official page. There's not much to choose from, to be honest.

Don't hurry up, wait untill you unlock the bootloader. You may get more stable TWRP version.
I have downloaded several 'beta' recovery images. 2 different versions of wzsx150, OrangeFox and TWRP. None of them are working with 'fastboot boot recovery.img' After the successful upload, I get a redmi starting screen, nothing else. Is it working for you?
What happens if I upload a bad recovery. Do I have the possibility to overwrite it again with an other file? Does the stock ROM include the recovery?
Thanks for help!

I tried ln team recovery but I just flashed it.I booted to recovery from fastboot(by holding vol up and power till Redmi logo appears than just the vol up button).
I changed the language to English, than went to Advanced tab. There you will find forceencrpt and dm verity disabler.Select both of them and swipe the confirm button.
After that I recommend keeping Magisk 19.0 zip on sd card or internal storage.Flash it and you are rooted.
Your whole data would be erased of course.

I can't install TWRP, and my phone is stuck in fastboot mode after Magisk attempt

Hello,
I am extremely frustrated right now. I got a new Mi 9T a week ago, and I absolutely love it. I waited the 160 hour waiting period, then I unlocked my bootloader in order to install Magisk. However, when I tried to install TWRP, I noticed some... issues.
I am currently using Ubuntu MATE on my laptop right now. I install adb and fastboot using apt, then I was successfully able to enter fastboot mode. After that, I flashed an unofficial version of TWRP, and when I tried to boot into it... nothing. It would just be stuck on the Mi boot screen. Or, it would just boot into the Mi Recovery.
I tried other guides, and every single one of them didn't work. So, I decided to use the adb method of installing Magisk on my phone. I created a patched boot image, then I flashed it to my phone, and... my phone is stuck in fastboot mode. I can't install TWRP, I can't install Magisk, and my phone is stuck in fastboot mode.
Additionally, I tried flashing the stock boot image to my phone, but it didn't change anything.
Firstly, is my shiny new phone bricked? Secondly, how do I fix it?
I absolutely love this phone, and I really want to use it again. Any help is greatly appreciated. :good:
wiping my phone didn't work either.
Hello,
Without having information about MIUI version installed on your Mi 9T, we can't help you...
To unbrick your phone, you need to download a "Fastboot" ROM installation ( https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/davinci/ ), extract all the files and flash it using "flash_all.sh" ( Linux script file ).

Thank you for the response. I will try that as soon as possible.
As for the MIUI version, I don't know the exact version (as I can't access my phone's OS) but it was MIUI 10 on Android 9 Pie, and I'm pretty sure it was the latest version at the time.

You can install EEA / Global version "Fastboot" ROM.
If you live in Europe, prefer EEA ROM instead of Global.
