Stuck at fastboot and can't flash rom via flash tool (sparcecrclist error) - Redmi K20 / Xiaomi Mi 9T Questions & Answers

Hey ppl
I'm not rlly new to all of this flashing..but this is getting really annoying and this is probably not achievable for me right now.
Xiaomi Devices are relatively new to me at this point
Yesterday, I wanted to Update my Mi 9t to Miui 12.5 via an official Rom.
The flash worked well but the version I flashed seemed buggy, so I wanted to revert via Flash tool.
Something went wrong and now I'm stuck at fastboot without any image, system or data whatsoever -.-
mi flash tool simply refused to work and bricked my phone..for whatever reason.
Now when I want to flash a Official stable Global Rom with Mi flash tool, I get this Error:

}
"error: "Flash sparcecrclist error"
some kind of CRC error?
I tried to reload SEVERAL Global, EU and even China Roms to see, if it's just a corrputed download. Nope.
- I tried everything from moving the folder to simply C:/ and flashing from there.
- tried another computer and even my laptop.
- Tried several fastboot roms
etc
- XiaomiToolV2 gave me the same error.
- Also tried to flash each .img manually via fastboot commands
Has anyone an Idea what to do?
I'm gettitn rlly frustrated now
greetings
Edit:
The Image shows CLEAN ALL AND LOCK, But it's just for the sake of the picture I took of the error.
I allways used CLEAN ALL...The Bootloader is still unlocked!

The path to is maybe to long. Make like c:/rom

Thank you so much man!
The Anti Rollback Security was the culprit...can't believe it... I thought I edited the script accordingly ^^
After I edited the Flash bat correctly, I was able to flash THIS TWRP only and managed to delety my Data partition so I could decrypt the Phone.
Data is gone anyway..so thats fine
I'm now running CRDroid 11!
Thanks again!
greetings!

What edit you made in that file because i was having same crclist error in mi flash tool so
I flashed twrp through fastboot and then flashed the recovery rom through it.

OnePlus One July OTA Update Android 4.4.4

Yep it's out.
For those of you in need to manually update read below.
Download: cm-bacon-d22b777afa-to-0428073396-signed.zip (KTU84P, XNPH30O)
Install: To install the update, flash a custom recovery (TWRP recommended), boot into it, then sideload using adb sideload - if you've ever updated a Nexus device before, then you'll feel right at home, as the steps are exactly the same. TWRP will ask if you want to re-root at the end.

Wtf is this thread....anyways has anyone tried a clean flash yet?
just flashed it. thanks man!
Why can you flash the zip, why do you have to sideload it ?
Mine keeps failing some sort of verification check, on both cm recovery and twrp.
I flashed it through TWRP, NO ISSUES

Are you sure you're installing with "adb sideload" as instructed? You can't install from the "install" button in TWRP.

yep. on both the stock cm recovery and twrp i get this error:
Code:
assert failed: apply_patch_check("/system/framework/apache-xml.jar","44e4.........","eab54.........")
If you've flashed any mods or made any changes to the system. It will fail.

If you guys flashed my Smooth Scrolling Mod, flash the revert and then try the OTA

Basically when you're on stock ROM and if you did any changes to your /system/ then it will not update because its been modified.
does this include removal of apps ? Mine failed to sideload as well.+
Edit 1: I did do some modding of the build.prop as well this morning.
I had a feeling that the system partition was a problem, so i wiped it and then reflashed the previous build from cyngn.com and the update still fails.

Same problem here, fails at:
assert failed: apply_patch_check("/system/framework/apache-xml.jar","44e4.........","eab54.........")
Everything is stock, except Recovery. Tried with original recovery and it still fails...
Got mine to update even though the system partition was updated with a modified updater-script.
I will upload the entire zip with the updated script. For those that know what they are doing the updater-script is attached.
Edit 1: Note you do loose root. You have to install supersu again if you did have it previously (if you modified system then you did)
I have a louder sound mod. So basically I have to reflash to pure stock to use this? That sucks.

look at my post.
I guess the update.zip factory image from the official site isn't truly stock. so i went with the nuclear option and just reflashed everything via fastboot. update worked perfectly now haha.

Help with error flashing system

Hi all, well I think I have all but fubarred my 16gb shield tv. I unlocked bootloader, installed twrp and rooted, all was working fine. Then I decided to flash the full android rom that is on the forum . before doing so, i used twrp and made a backup. I installed the full android rom, although it seemed to work fine, i was not crazy about it and decided to go back to the original OS, so I booted up in twrp and went to the restore function, there were no backups to restore , I guess when I installed the system img for the full android it erased my backup somehow. anyway, moving right along, I next went to nvidia website and downloaded the restore image for the 16gb shield tv, i booted in to bootloader and was following the instructions to restore the shield. all seems to go fine until I try to flash the system img, then I get the error "invalid sparse file format at unknown block 0000" it tries to continue but fails, afterwards the system will not boot at all, I can get back to twrp recovery an flash the full android rom just fine, but am not able to flash back the original os without that error. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, as I am stuck at this point as what to attempt next. thanks
Here is an image of the error I get, I am no longer able to write to the system partition,

Just going to go out on limb here, but are you sure the downloaded image isn't corrupted? You could try to download it again, if available do a MD5 hash check to verify it downloaded correctly and then retry flashing it.

Why don't changes to /system have any effect?

I unlocked my P8 Lite's bootloader today with the intention of moving from its current Asiapac ROM to the European ROM (both devices have no hardware differences, anyhow it shouldn't affect the issue I'm having).
I downloaded a complete C432B170 ROM, and used the Huawei Update Extractor Tool to extract the various system images from the update:
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I then proceeded to flash the system.img and boot.img, and both appeared to flash properly, but however upon rebooting the device I have the exact same ROM!
Having flashed other devices previously in the same fashion with positive results, I downloaded a few other complete (aka, complete ROM) packages, with every one experiencing the same issue (one of them however did manage to downgrade the device from 5.0.1 to 5.0, so it must be doing something to it [this was after wiping the userdata and cache partitions]).
Further tries to flash the ROM have had the same result.
What am I doing wrong here?
How is the P8 Lite different to other Android devices (in respect of firmware flashing)?
Do I need to flash something else?
I thought that it could be that it's not actually letting me modify the partitions, but I am able to wipe /system in TWRP (yes, it did let me install a custom recovery, so that's working).
you need to flash cust.img and recovery.img too
PS:you will get balong error so you need to flash the B052 rom in the first place then flash the custom folder ( dload2 or step2 ) that comes with it to fix it, you may loose your IMEI but updating to B170 VIA OTA will fix it

Did it, and upgraded to Marshmallow, cheers .
Yeah, I got the Balong build-number error, but the updater allowed me to upgrade to B188 and then to Marshmallow (it's only a build number so I'm not that bothered). Only bug I've found so far is with the settings panel, otherwise its great.
Only thing is, I now only have 2.5GB of storage on /system rather than ~10GB I had before; how can I fix this? This issue occurred after I flashed B170.
Looks like to me that the /system partition is only 2.56GB (perhaps the B170 ROM was from an 8GB variant of the device?).
Another issue that I've found is that I can't seem to root the device (flashing the SuperSu zip always causes a boot-loop, regardless of the version of SuperSu I use).
Will probably re-flash this weekend fixing the Balong build-number error and (hopefully) the /system partition's size).

Thanks for making such a great work! :good: I don't want to be rude, but some people are looking for a tool to completely replace NRT. Is there anything missing in your tool that we should be aware of? Anything we can not do but doable with NRT? Is it 100% compatible with Win10 and 8.1 factory images? Thanks!

help me, son bricked he's phone.

Hi Guys,
My son has a MI9T.
Hé wanted to flash a custom rom the day after he got this phone from me (why i dont know) but he never did it before. And i aM no expert either.
Hé installed a few custom kernals, and roms and TWRP'S and dont actually know what hé is dooing.
But the phone is stuck in startup screen with Every rom he installed so far.
Hé did no backups from the working device either........???
The phone have working TWRP now and unlocked bootloader.
i tried to do the Xiaomi recovery (Miflashtool) but wont work either cuz of the fault:
Anti Rollback protection and i cant find a right firmware for IT.
The anti rollback protection is on 1 on this phone.
Can Any one help me out maybe?
or is the phone already to throw away?
Hi. The anti-rollback protection exists purely in a file in the fastboot image. Here is a tutorial on how to avoid triggering it on our device:
https://telegra.ph/Fix-fastboot-flashing-problems-09-20
The reason that no roms he tried are booting is most likely that on this device he has to wipe data + internal storage after flashing or it will most likely not boot.

Try to Flash fastboot rom from EDL mode... You have unlocked bl, download this tool

Put phone with this tool in EDL mode and try to flash fastboot rom.

OK! Let's try something different. First of all, the phone is not dead, so, don't worry. We just have to figure it out.
Enter TWRP, format DATA, tipe Yes (it's not wipe, it's format data).
Just to be sure, flash the latest TWRP https://dl.twrp.me/davinci/twrp-3.4.0-0-davinci.img
Since you formated data, you will have no files on your phone (be shure of that, if it isn't empty, you haven't formated data), you have to tranfer this TWRP from the computer or OTG.
After flashing TWRP, reboot to recovery. Now, let's flash some stable rom. Try this: https://sourceforge.net/projects/xi...K20MI9T_V12.0.4.0.QFJCNXM_v12-10.zip/download
Flash only the rom (no magisk, nothing). Reboot! Now, wait patiently. The first boot will take time (from 5 to 10 minutes).
Then, give us feedback. Ground your son until the weekend. Good luck, mate!
Hi
Do you find solutions???
used the above steps except edl mode and was able to sucessfully flash fastboot rom without crc list error
