Hello i still need more of your input here.
I want to simulate update check from different mate 8 models.
I have succefuly simulated mine NXT-L29C432 model.
If you have a different one (the firmware version is not important) I realy need you to do followed step
I will list here all version that i received and the ETA of the simulated check.
I need you to install this app on your mate 8.
- start record.
- check if an update is available.
- stop record
- save file related to update
- send it to me via pm
Doesn't require root or anything more.
There is no delacate data in that file except your IMEI but crypted in RSA format. Only huawei is able to decrypt it. But you can safely remove the two keys related to IMEI if you prefer, i dont need that.
Idea is to catch different existing model, uderstaind the difference and make an app that will automaticaly keep us informed of any new OTA available for any device.

Thank to all who contributed. I have not succeed any attempt to fake a succeful update available on other device than mine yet. Iam still trying to find what's wrong with my request.
From what i received i can conclude there is one untouched firmware and two modified one.
So i still need more of NXT-L29C900, NXT-L29C636 and didnt yet received any NXT-AL10C00.
i could potentially provide the AL10C00 but unfortunately im faaar away from running stock, so no point in checking for updates ^^

+1 from me too I don't think that AL10 with L29 firmware will do cybermomo any good. If it does let me know and I will send you.

Thank you, could you confirm me you modified your system? (bootloader, crossflash or any non stock change)
I succed to fake NXT-L29C900, i still have to retrieve all link returned and organise them to be postable here.
Receiving I have the phone with C636B103. I have been taking C432B152 plays by Force and at the end C900B152. No bootloader unlock, no root.

Ok that confirm when we crossflash from different model the OTA data seem to be corrupted. Not sure OTA will work in that way but it may work depend on huawei data processing.
Is there any reasons for faking L29C900, and how do you do?

The goal is to retrieve all official OTA link from huawei itself. This is important to be able to do whatever we like with those file (crossflashing or hacking rom to make it better)
I also plan to make the program automaticaly check if any update is available for all version. As crossflaching is possible this is nice to have a large view of what happen.
I only mimic what our Mate8 do for one specific version.

Fast answer, C900 is a real region or a type of Mate8.
How did you get your European version to C900? Is it possible to go back just by flashing a full stock or something similar?

I am also facing same problem...... we dont have official MM available... so maybe we have to change region with 18kb update file but that doesn't work at all.....someone plz tell in details the steps to upgrade to MM....

Before doing the above, I'd recommend checking for OTA updates from within your phone whilst connected to the internet....
HiCare app > Me tab > Check for updates
HiCare app > Service tab > OS Upgrade Early Adopters
Please return to let us know if any of the above worked, which will help other users with the same issue.

Thanks man found new mm firmware b363 when checked through hicare app.... but when i tried tto check through update in settings didnt find any update before but hicare shows update.... wtf? But thanks to you now i can update....

FYI that forumer have been banned so no point tagging him LOL,
I tried installing this with Firmware Finder but it crashes after 5% when I attempt the install (power volume up) from micro sd... The update from the EMUI app doesn't appear.

Updates for Mate 9 can not be installed from mocroSD (except two offline full ROMs)
You must use "install via system update" function in FF. But so new OTA doesn't approved to install.

That is the version I used until switch to Alexa USA beta.
It's good update, but security is February not March. Also kernel build is a little older. Now finally everybody can install using FF maybe. Anybody has done?

I prefer to wait for an ota stable release for free
Between huawei are not slow pushing the updates.

For me, no. Beta is very fun. Trying new features first, I enjoy it. But I think Huawei very slow with update. I mean make update authentication. Post to FF but waiting so long for authentication failed, so I make my choice to pay money and try many things faster.
Anyway many update coming now. So I want to know what's next! For you already very nice battery life but for me I hope for more optimised.

I don't think that you can update by OTA, if you try to update with firmware finder it says that its not signed.

Fine here as well......what about dialer and settings? ....are both apps working. In my case after installing and just wiping cache, both apps were closing immediatel. After a factory reste everything is working fine.
The same, setting a dialer error. Wipe cache a factory reset and all OK

Found that the device (L09 and L29) is not certified in Google Play, but the update in Google play still runs OK.
There is a new firmware but it's not approved for installation yet.

Do you have any new for this update for the mate 9 Porsche design? In hicare I see the update since May but the phone just don't find it when I click on the update lol
It is still not approved for installation. It will probably be another week.
Today the update was approved when I checked in Firmware Finder. In the system ypdate it said that there were no updates, so I used Firmware Finder to trigger the update. All went smooth. Face Unlock works fantastic!
my LON-L29C636 still not getting approved.

Hey, i recently got a system update via Hisuite for my P smart FIG-LX3 8.0.0.136(C605) but this update is a full system update 8.0.0.142(C605)-FULL and i want to know if that update will include the GPU Turbo optimization for my device, because this update just comes with the latest security patch for september and nothing more, but the update with GPU Turbo came in the 8.0.0.140(C605) but i never got that update, so all i want to know is if this full system update will include the gpu turbo, thanks for reading
