Why i Hate Oneplus 8T - OnePlus 8T Guides, News, & Discussion

I made my review of this phone. I list the reasons why I hate this phone. Here is the link. Come and hate with me.

Even with your English, I would have still watched your review. Had it not been the awful background video and music. I couldn't handle it for more than 2 mins. Sorry. When you are giving a review, I suggest just focus on talking directly to your viewers making your case. As opposed to all the distraction.

After watching your video, Moderator Edit: I Thank you.

You are just a moron! Your video was worse than your English, which by the way was pretty bad...even though you said we should not comment on how bad your English is. If you can't speak English then why not just make your video in your native language for those who also speak it? Watching your video was truly a waste of my time so I am glad that I only watched it for a few minutes. Get a life!

Definitely a waste of time to do a you tube video on this.

I hate the 8T because I got a $100 water bottle.

Is this supposed to be a joke or funny!? What a retarded poop head!

I actually love this oneplus 8t+ it's actually pretty fast and durable. 12gb ram 256g internal 120hz screen. No regrets

I have the 8, 8T and 8 Pro.
8T is my sweet spot.
8 Pro is overkill for me.
I love this 8T

Man you got way to much time on your hand...

Am I the only one think it's funny?
The OP acts like a clown

This is by far the dumbest review of anything ever.
Or is it clever because it's so over-the-top???

video quality between the Iphone4 and evo

So I just watched a side by side comparison on youtube of video quality.. the kid shot them at the same time.. all default. Iphone4 owns the Evo .. absolutely not even close. Anyway.. question to the smarties... Are our phones capable of that and is it a matter of time before a video software update happens? I've shot a few vids and not too impressed .. but after watching the Iphone4's vid it kinda makes me sick. I'm assuming our 8 megapixel and 1ghz snapdragon should be able to at least come close if not be possibly better. ???? here's the link.. if it works>>>>>>>>>>>>

No it's not. EVO just takes ****ty video...accept it...lol.
I love my Evo but I have to agree at the moment video quality is laughable.

I thought I could make things easy by just reading what others are saying but it's clear to me now that I just have to test everything out for myself. Another early RadioShack visit tomorrow morning. I'm going to test the heck outta the iPhone, side by side with the Evo.
One thing I have to admit is that Engadget's test video was nowhere near that smooth and felt on par with the Evo to me.

the video seems to be from that idiot pirillo
it is from that idiot prillo..i hate that guy
but that iphone 4 is a really nice piece of hardware..definatley the most superior phone hardware wise
Looks like the Iphone video is stabilized somehow. Also, white balance and FPS are much greater on the Iphony. I was not impressed with my indoor EVO videos at all. I really hope that HTC releases a patch to help out.
I wonder if it has anything to do with the SD card? the iphone has the internal ssd hard drive which might write faster. I was reading this article on engadget this am and it came to mind. I could be wrong, but it kinda made sense. Is the sd card that comes with the phone have fast enough write access ?
http://www.engadget.com/2010/06/24/sd-cards-branded-with-an-upper-case-i-are-faster-yo/
Something is up..... cause my EVO takes WAAAY better video than the EVO in that clip. Wonder what he did to it, like maybe loaded a ton of apps to really eat up CPU and scratched the crap outta the lens or something... I don't know but I know my EVO takes better video. I just took a vid of my office here for test and it looked much better and smoother than that.

Archos 70 Review - TabletConnect

Our review of the Archos 70. Questions & comments are welcome.
I really enjoyed the review and agreed with everything you said about it.
All the "big" reviewers made a huge deal out of the viewing angles, and I was prepared for that when I got it, but they really aren't that bad. It's not like you're going to have 20 people crowded around you watching a movie...
Great review though, I believe you hit the nail right on the head and look at how the tablet works in a real world situation rather than the "big" sites who are extremely focused on benchmarks.

Thank you. Not to pick on Engadget as I enjoyed their site. Although their review came out before mine, I did not read it until I completed my own. I was disappointed that they only gave it a 6 out of 10. Should be at least a 7.

Harsh Rating!!!

I believe everyone rates this phone highly, so why has cnet gave this phone a 4 out of 5 rating??
Can't post a link as I'm a newbie...

hahaha, point to be noted, your honor!
i have never seen this many positive reviews for an HTC phone. some are calling it the best designed smart phone ever made.
not every review is going to be positive. and i wouldn't necessarily call 4 out of 5 stars a bad review.
It's still better than the Verge's abomination.
4 out of 5 is terrible tbh, phones are subjective and the main criticism for HTC phones is Sense... which I prefer to any other oem ui and asop by far, loved it since my touch pro
I wouldn't call it harsh. Here's their highlights and low-lights.
The battery and storage comment shouldn't really surprise anyone. So far,the camera's received mixed reviews with some reviewers being more impressed than others. I can see BlinkFeed being a "love it or hate it" proposition which is really in the eye of the beholder and everyone won't like it equally. The comments about scuffing are concerning. They loved the display and design which I think will be pretty much a universal theme.

Blinkfeed is cool, when you like to read a lot of news and social things like Facebook, which i do often when i have job school
Camera is good, ok Lumia 920 beats it, but who cares. Its good, not negativ.
No need of expandable storage if you have 32 GB, in my opinion.

I kind of agree with all the points.
BlinkFeed is merely a user-preference, but ability to remove it should be an option.
Then read their xperia review and go mad.

......also "Camera doesnt Impress", sounds more neutral than "Bad" to me, it's not a bad thing, it holds its own in most aspects of picture and video taking especially considering its stsbilisation function.
Actually I dont think any of those "Bad" points are really valid to potential buyers or the more tech savvy.
I think he is speculating about the black and scratches. I'm pretty sure his house keys are not made of gold (it's too soft and expensive compared to brass). Also, the black isn't painted on, it's anodised. I rate the review less than 4/5.
The camera might be a little gimmick but.. i wouldn't say 4 out of 5 is bad..Plus thats only one review.. im sure you not going to let one review be the deal decision maker for you.. i can only see myself taking a star away for the way HTC handling the release.. but that has nothing to do with the phone.. that's just bad PR

If the camera isn't, the term "Ultrapixel" is.
It's not new at all. In fact, the N82 and N95 from over 5+ years ago had both larger sensors (~1/2.5) and larger individual pixel bins than the new flagship from HTC.

It IS the best designed smartphone ever made. The previous title goes to the HTC One X in my opinion.
From what I've read, there's something symptomatic in CNET review: they put as a negative point the fact that the phone doesn't have SD card or removable battery, yet that point is never raised when they describe iPhone.

Engadget - Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 review

Both are biased garbage in my mind.. Love how one praises the battery life, the other trashes it. I've been frequenting both sites for years and their Apple bias is overwhelming.
Engadget user reviews
Trusted Reviews - Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 review
i noticed this yesterday when i read engadgets review followed by another one on a nother site, and there are so many inconsistencies across the board, now i know our own opinions are subjective based on our view point, but when tech news companies get the basics wrong there is definitely something up. I did see a few people make this point on the engadget blog.
Lets not kid ourselves this device is not perfect but then rarely ever is a device perfect, but to diss the screen for having a tft panel andbad battery life and multitasking is laggy is just a blatant POS by engadget
I have read the Engadget review last night and I hate it when reviewers don't be fair BC its not an apple device . I have read many articles and watched many YouTube reviews about it and I could tell that 80% of them like the tablet. So its pretty trashy when a reviewer tries to go low about it.

Really didn't understand engadget review; the battery life seemed like it was near the top of all tablets; but they call it pathetic ? They said they had no need for the pen but then why would they buy the device ? The other comments were valid I guess to a degree cept what they fail to mention is that if you want a screen larger than a 10 inch tablet why would you buy a 10 inch tablet ? The real competitor I think are the 13 inch ultra books and then it comes down to usage/need/weight/battery lfe/price. The better 13inch ultra books are around 1300 to 1700; they are slightly heavier and have similar battery life (8 to 11 hours) and much faster (the yoga 2 is less expensive but has significantly shorter battery life).
-
I mention windows ultra book and not the mac airbook/mac pro mostly because they have touch screens (if you want a touch device).
-
I'm giving this tablet a try because for my specific application/usage it is fast enough (but just barely); 1lb lighter (20 to 30% which sounds more impressive) has the magical 9+ hours of battery life and is $500-$700 less expensive. My second choice was between the macpro 13inch (kind of heavy); samsung ultra boox and asus 301 (they have like a dozen different ultra book I can't keep the models straight).
I'm torn between this and...well...I guess the opposite end of the spectrum, a Tegra Note 7. I do want a huge screen, but I don't care about resolution, I don't care about weight at all, and I love drawing. I don't need the multi-window stuff, don't need to multitask, necessarily. I've used Android in an office situation for about three years now so I know everything I want to do can be done with Android, but now I want to add in handwriting and drawing.
But all these reviews from all the "main" sites are putting me off of the Pro from lag and stutter. Watching videos I see the lag.
The reason this bothers me is because I got the Acer A700 after pre-ordering and it is nothing but lag..constantly..And I hate it for it. Wish I had waited for reviews on it, and all the reviews tell about how laggy the A700 was. Now I'm seeing a LOT of reviews talking about lag on the Note 12.2, and I'm concerned.
On the A700, lag is just inherent as it is an underpowered system. Even switching launchers, there is still lag.
I've not heard of anyone switching to NOVA or Apex launchers on the 12.2. Would that be the solution to the lag people are experiencing...Is the lag just with TouchWiz, or is it a system flaw?
I am using nova launcher, and the only place lag bothers me is with Chrome. Seems pretty jerky there at times. Any lag i see seems app specific and not system. I would be willing to take some video footage for you if you tell me what you would like to see.

Can you go to a store and try it?
Sent from my Galaxy Note Pro 12 using Tapatalk
Yeah...I could go to the store and try one out, but I don't have cash at the ready. If I go in without having money I may do something stupid like put it on a credit card and accrue interest and have impulse buyer's remorse, etc. (It's all in my head). I'm buying a tablet with our tax return so I won't have fundage for another couple weeks.
A few things I'm wanting to see more of are reading apps like Mantano Reader, Comic Rack, ezPDF. I would also really like to see what the bundled office suite looks like. It's always talked about but never really seen. For me, this is basically a text consumption, document creation, and note taking app for work. Art programs, gaming, and streaming videos at home.
I came across a link to a video review in the note 10 forums for Hanscom: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bejig7vQPeE&feature=youtube_gdata_player
it's in Russian but supposedly gives you a good look at it at least
note taking capabilities seem wonderful. handwriting apps like papyrus or lecture notes. Apps like Ever note for typing. Replacement Keyboards like my script stylus beta that instantaneously convert handwriting to typed text . I absolutely adore this keyboard.
I don't use the other apps you mentioned, but could install them and look. probably not until later tonight after kid goes to bed. There is another thread here somewhere about comics on the note pro, Everyone seems to think they look great.
I don't do any heavy gaming - just stuff like mahjong, sudoku, word games. etc I haven't had any trouble with that. My husband however, who just got a note pro too, plays a lot more games. He has been very impressed so far. Games and emulators that our Nexus 10s had trouble with work much better on this tablet.
Here is a YouTube review of gaming on the Note Pro btw. This guy is not the best reviewer in the world, but it might help!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ri6NEL-FOs
I've yet to use any tablet that is 100% lag free. If you're sensitive to this or are simply looking for it, you'll see it somewhere. I just need it to be minor enough so it doesn't impact my usage of the device. Some of the first 1080p tablets were horrible about that.
But I'm finding this latest tablet from Samsung to be pretty darn good. Touch wiz has always had a history of lag. Not here, not with the magazine ux launcher. You can switch it if you want for personal preference, but it won't be due to lag.
Any lag you might see are maybe with the pull down menu or perhaps in certain apps. None of which are effected by the launcher. Sure, I wish everything was 100% smooth everywhere. But I've yet to find such a tablet. For now, this works just fine for my needs and wants. Even without root or modification.

Here's a review of sorts that I did for the site animationinsider.com. It's geared specifically to animation artists, with a focus on apps that are good for professional quality artwork on the Note 12.2. The site shrank my images a little too much, and also messed up the formatting some. (I'm kind of a stickler about those things).

There are only about 4 known hands-on videos of the Nexus 9 and 2 of those are in Vietnamese. They interesting thing is that the Vietnamese ones are the most in-depth. The other two are hands on video from Techcrunch and TheVerge where they were only given a very limited amount of time with the device at google.
When he says fake videos, he means the hundreds of videos on youtube that are just either duplicate copies of the same videos, slideshows of pictures and specs, or videos not even related to the Nexus 9. They are basically "clickbait" videos by Youtube uploaders that want views.
Android Central posted a 4 minute hands on video:

You are aware that The Verge's video was not a "one minute review", right?
1) It was a hands-on
2) It was a video with a time-limited constraint, most likely at Google's premises, unlike Android Central's hands on that came two days later and without such time constraint.
Just sayin....
Verge sure as hell ensured that the short amount of time is used to express their own disgust towards products that are not made by Apple in every sentence throughout the hands-on.
They succeeded in doing so.

Stuff like "well yeah, it's an ANDROID tablet [...] MAYBE that's what you're looking for"... come on.
Seriously, they should go back reviewing to their super-duper premium iPads that have no flaws at all and giving it 11/10 in the scores.

It is because of inflammatory statements such as this one that invalidate your other claim of him sounding bored which may be very well the case, but due to the typical "Android fanboy"-hyperbolic claims, you're making it harder for the rest of us when we intend to make an actual criticism.
The hands-on done by The Verge was not an Android bashing party, nor an iPhone praising celebration as you're making it sound.

Maybe some people just have smug sounding voices. We should just accept reviews at face value based on the content of their words, not by their tone. If anything, the guy's opinions were pretty objective, moreso than any i've seen on the Nexus 9. Lacking in both criticisms and superlatives.

What exactly about the Note 2014 was a pain to update?
I've owned 3 Nexus devices (4,5, and 7 2012) and they were a breeze to update. Just had to wait a week or two for it become available OTA.
