Slightly disappointed with the camera app so far. And that is one of the main reasons to buy this phone. Low light was awful and zoom seems awful at any thing over 25 percent. But I am going to test in the day tomorrow and probably expecting to much from a 1200 pound phone.

It's actually really fast for me, but that could be because I'm on One UI Beta.

Instantly
Instantly,
I think that camera is good. I have in other hand s8 and yes, s8 is better in low light, but not so so. Low light pics are clear and usable, with low level of noise.
Edit: Google Camera App is better for night shoots. Better than S8 too. I have used only Auto mode for pics.

Stock Cam night mode is much better than custom one. Taking less time to shoot. And clarity is also good, comparison with Custom cam. Launch speed is normal, takes 1 sec to show it in focused form. Didn't compare with others. Just realized the timing taken.

I'd say the launch speed from the camera key is acceptable. Initial focus speed is not too fast.
p.s. coming from Galaxy S10 Snapdragon version.
