nope..just stuck at recovery screen

Problem solved

Could you say how you solved it?

Just an info: For android 11 (and devices that ship with android 10): Just boot into TWRP, don't flash it. There is no TWRP (official or unofficial) that's working without problems with android 10 and above.

Maybe it applies for Android 11
But for Mi 9T, MIUI 12, A10 it works flawlessly.
Please what exactly does not work for you with TWRP 3.4.0.x on Mi 9T, MIUI 12, QFJEUXM 12.0.3?
I have used official and unofficial OF, and TWRP from 3.3 to 3.4.0.2, from MIUI 10, A9 and then MIUI 11/12 A10 (eea, now I switched to Xiaomi.eu, weekly but still A10)
The only thing that does not work is if you have dual apps (I use dual WA), that when you enter pin it gets access to storage for user 0 ('normal' user) but not for user 999 - which means that it cannot backup data for my second WhatsApp
Please be aware that Mi 9T was originally released with A9 and the layout of partitions did not change when it upgraded to MIUI 11/12, A10 - hence we don't have an issue with TWRP like on the phones that were already released with A10

I own the same device and that's why I clearly posted:
Devices that ship with android 10.
As you said that's not the case for the Xiaomi Mi 9T, it was released with android 9 (MIUI 10.x).
TWRP recovery never had an official update to android 10.
And full backup/restore (data, system, vendor) weren't possible for me at all.

For Mi 9T there is official TWRP for A10 (MIUI 11 and 12):
https://dl.twrp.me/davinci
Again, because the phone was not initially designed and released by A10.
For that reason 3.4.0.0 is the official and valid TWRP for Mi 9T, both for A9 and A10 (we'll see how about A11 when Xiaomi officialy releases, currently there is only A11 beta from Xiaomi.eu)

I saw that once you upgrade to 7.0 (for example v7.2.9) that bootloader will be automatically locked, and we will have to unlock it once again.
Can anyone confirm if this is true,

Bootloader cannot be locked unless its instructed by you. Flashing process doesn't have any interference with the Bootloader. Still, about my personal experience, I migrate from custom roms to MIUI 7.1.12 and back atleast twice a week. Its not the case. And given the reason neither its supposed to be. You can clear your doubts.

Yes this is my understanding too, and i myself flash constantly -
but according to xiaomi.eu page for build 7.2.9 : " RELESED Android 7.0 for MI4C, Mi4S, MIMAX, MIMAX PRO, MINote PRO
Your BOOTLOADER will be relocked after upgrade to Android 7.0 so unlock it by en.miui.com/unlock after ROM installation again!!!"

After flashing gapps I get lots error messages. Otherwise no big difference in miui.
Worked ok with supersu 2.79 and twrp 3.0.2

yep, xiaomi took android 7.0 and transformed it to MIUI 8 based on 6.0 i was hoping at least for display resolution support from 7.0 but no, you still have to edit build.prop and distort apps and icons in default theme. i don't need 6.5" screen because of 1cm fonts

MIUI 10 China Stable ROM

On the MIUI Chinese web site Mi Max 3 users are posting questions on the forum about their recent update to MIUI 10 Stable 10.0.3.0 OEDCNFH. One user on the MIUI Global web site forum has also asked a question about the Mi Max 3 he has just purchased in Singapore which has MIUI 10 Stable 10.0.3.0 OEDCNFH installed. I don't see this ROM on the Chinese web site's download page. Does anyone know where I might find a download link for it? Xiaomi.eu will eventually take the new China Stable ROM and tweak it for English/European users, but their developers give priority to weekly Beta ROMs and it may be a while before they get to the new China Stable ROM.
Here
https://www.xda-developers.com/miui...gn=Feed:+xda-developers/ShsH+(xda-developers)
Just updated to miui 10.0.3.0 OEDCNFH stable
MI max 3 6gb /128
Thank you for pointing me to the article and the download link. I'm a bit confused though. The download is for Miui 10.0.3.0 OEDCNFH. But based on Xiaomi's naming convention, the "CN" in the version title indicates a China ROM whereas the article says this is a new "Global" ROM. For someone who has installed it, which version does it turn out to be?
I flashed it and it is indeed the "China" not the Global version. However, xiaomi.eu already has it tweaked for English/European use and it is available for download on their web site.

I tried it but I'm having the same issue as before, once I first boot the phone, the TWRP is replaced by the stock recovery.
just received my mm3, definitely china version as box is sealed without global sticker.
upon boot i see small word on the bottom "unlocked" --> is this means BL unlocked? but the box is sealed so how come vendor unlocked it?
also i got MIUI 10 GLOBAL 8.8.3 Beta (weekly). any suggestion what can i do if this is bad? thanks.

Move all of your data to sdcard, rom with android 8.1 or higher usually encrypted their data partititon after flashed, so you need to use sd card(as long your sd card is not encrypted and not formatted as internal) to flash from twrp or by sideload your rom via computer.
Keep backup your phone before flash, stay safe

Been using QFJEUXM Android 9 and 10 all stock versions, absolutely never ever had or heard (go through the other threads) that Google Play Services dont work.
Also, since December, using MIUI 12.5/A11 Xiaomi eu weekly builds, with no problems (related to Google Play Services), neither me nor anyvody else reported ib rhe corresponding thread.
When stating such things, fully state the name/version of your firmware. Also, if you were playing with firmwares/ROMs (out of official stock and OTA), make sure to Factory reset
Edit:
Ok, I was talking about European and Global, not Chinese stock. Don't know if Chinese supports Google
However, Xiaomi.eu weekly and stable (I also used Xiaomi.eu Stable latest A10) are based on stock CN, and Google (Playstore, Play Services, apps) work out of the box
Exact Version name for Redmi K20 (CN) where it happend to me is
MIUI V12.1.1.0.RFJCNXM
It is a stock rom (china non global) without ever done any modding. So no unlocked bootloader or root available or other non stock rom installed.
Previous stock rom was i think MIUI V12.0.6.0.QFJCNXM with Android 10 which got OTA upgraded. At least up to the Android 10 (non global) Version it had functioning google services included which could be used after installing google play store.
Seems like it happend to other non global stock devices too while upgrading from Android 10 to Android 11 to a MIUI 12.1.x version
Here a thread about the CC9 Pro MIUI 12.1.3
https://www.reddit.com/r/Xiaomi/comments/kzd2f5
custom rom Xiaomi.eu seems to insert GAPPS even if they are not included in the rom
"Moreover, Chinese MIUI beta builds don’t really include any Google apps and services which the guys at Xiaomi.eu take care of as well"
MIUI 12.5 Xiaomi.eu update released for many Mi, Redmi & Poco devices
The MIUI 12.5 beta 21.3.3 update is now out and about for a bunch of global devices already, thanks to Xiaomi.eu community builds.

Haven't made a factory reset yet. Currently making a backup of my data. But after reading the other links i am skeptical if a factory reset can get GSF working again. Maybe i'll try waiting 3-4 weeks to see if they release a new fixed version like for the K30 5G
In Settings All Specs
Android version: 11
Android security update: 2021-02-01
MIUI version: MIUI 12.1.1Stable 12.1.1.0 (RFJCNXM)
So it's like Indian MIUI, where it messed device to point where it was unusable.
Stick with stable a10 and research what they do to make a11 daily
Maybe switch to Xiaomi.eu weekly builds, MIUI 12.5/A11, Google out of the box
Already 6 or so releases since December, stable (I'm using for daily driver), tomorrow expecting new release
You can find a thread here on XDA with instructions (basically, flash the zip from TWRP, wipe Dalwik and Cache and first time when jumping from stock do FORMAT DATA - not just wipe)
Seems like i'll need to wait a month to get a functioning phone with GMS again. Have just seen that the current version MIUI V12.1.1.0.RFJCNXM got Rolled back https://mirom.ezbox.idv.tw/en/phone/davinci/roms-cn-stable/
Under the OTA updater the last changelog is also no longer available. Now it reads only "You don't have permissions to access the update log. Make sure the account you signed in with has the required permissions."
Maybe they will have released a new version without broken GMS by then. At least it took them about a month to release new versions for
rolled back versions of https://mirom.ezbox.idv.tw/en/phone/cmi/roms-cn-stable/ and https://mirom.ezbox.idv.tw/en/phone/picasso/roms-cn-stable/

When do you think we will start to see Android 12 roms for our K20?

When do you think we will start to see Android 12 roms for our K20/Mi9T ?
Like right now. K20 is already old, so don't wait for 20 different ROMs, it'll be like 3-4 ROMs
We need Lineage Android 12. I wonder if it will support K20.
I doubt Lineage will support Android 11, so very improbable to see 12.
K20 is a great phone, but sadly I'm not sure support (official/non-official) will last too long.

Phones were released 2+ years ago, with MIUI 10, A9, and they were upgraded up to MIUI 12, A11 - but they will not receive MIUI 13, A12
EOL = End of line

Actually I searched a bit and it seems that we will get MIUI 13 on Android 11 (instead of 12): https://www.rmupdate.com/2021/12/06/xiaomi-miui-13-supported-device-list/ (read about it being 11 elsewhere).

I've seen that month or two ago. But more recently seen as attached below in the MIUI News Telegram group (XDA does not allow posting links to TG) - see on the right side "Devices that won't get A12" section
And btw, Xiaomi.eu will roll up MIUI 13 (and later A12) next year but last month they stopped providing Weeklies for Mi 9, 9 Se, 9T, 9T Pro due to EOL
It's not depending on them. Its because Xiaomi itself stopped building CN weeklies for those phones (and they are preparing now MIUI 13 weeklies but only for the newer phones)
I'm not sure what you are saying there.
As commented before, officially there will be no A12 for Mi 9T. There will be MIUI 13 on A11 though.
Whether 3rd parties create A12 roms for Mi 9T, well I guess maybe, but Lineage doesn't seem like a good candidate. Probably ArrownOS and PixelExperience will come up with an A12 version, though who know's if they actually end up working without major bugs.
And yes, Xiaomi stopped releasing weeklies for the Mi 9T on the end of November.
True. Mi9t will get Miui13 on android 11.
This is a positive thing for Miui lovers. But i think the fact that xiaomi won't release it on android 12 will make the custom roms devs work harder to port it. Since there won't be official drivers available from xiaomi.
That's really sad. The K20 Pro really is a very good one. I am really disappointed that there is no official LineageOS around. Hardware is sufficient for years to come but I also want at least somehow recent security updates.

Exactly - and specially about the issue with missing drivers for A12
The original question here was about A 12, not MIUI 13 - and the attached list says that our phones are eligible for MIUI 13 but based on A11 (look at the icons and small-print notes)
LOS A12 and A11 already exist on K20, although it is not official it is really stable and most probably even better than official since official restricts you with certain features.
